The kid came off as a little bit of a punk but I can see why he would be in a bad mood. The cops make me downright sick. That was pathetic, childish bullying. If I was the kid I'd try to see that the prick served time for it. A cop can't do shit like that.

What he should have done was to give the guy a reason why it took them so long, even if he'd bullshit him, tell him to calm down and that they are there to help. You know, defuse situation.
