The original vaccination that went around caused complications in some people. The newer vaccination is mostly to make sure it doesn't happen again and promote natural immunity for future birth. Again, it's just in case it resurfaces.
I'm an antisocial homoschooler. Why would I need the vaccine in the first place?
Most military members are getting it now too. They focused on high risk people first. And I'm fairly sure you could've went and got vaccinated yourself..
