Sarcasm is hard to read unless there are emotes. :-( I'd like more people to gain some sense when thinking about music though. You wouldn't hear me say "it sucks because it ain't cool" Believe it or not, rock critics follow the way of what is "cool".
The '':downs:'' made it pretty obvious in my opinion.
I thought it was more mocking me :P

Yeah, can't use extensions on apple device :)
Generic "I'm 14 and listen to ________", or "Justin Bieber is gai XD" on Rock N' Roll, Metal, etc videos. I'd like to enjoy my AC/DC without your completely irrelevant comments, thank you very much.
I don't get why people think age has anything to do with listening to bands like ACDC or metal. Could be the implanted idea in popular culture that all metal is violent and gory with lyricists who burn down churches, but that's just retarded. Also what confuses me is, why the fuck do people get offended by lyrics. They're just words, written by someone for themselves and not for all the people listening to it.
Also what confuses me is, why the fuck do people get offended by lyrics. Musicians don't write music exclusively for themselves, and it isn't always inappropriate to become offended.
My mom thinks techno isn't music because there's no instruments involved
This makes no sense. Musicians don't write music exclusively for themselves, and it isn't always inappropriate to become offended.
They're words. I understand people getting offended by actions, but it's not like words will break your arm or kill your dog. Maybe it's just me and the fact that words and stuff don't mean shit, actions do. And the writing for themselves part is usually where people get offended, like Cannibal Corpse, they don't write about the stuff they write about to offend people, they write about it because it interests them. Yet people get offended by Cannibal Corpse's lyrics. I also remember a massive shitstorm over 50 Cent or someone using the word 'fag' in one of his songs and gay people being all offended when the word was used in a totally different context and it was about a personal thing that happened to him.

Listen to "Ship those niggers back" by Johnny Rebel and tell me that music can't be offensive.
I never really pay attention to lyrics and if I do I try not to attach too much meaning to them, if that makes sense. it's the same reason I dislike music videos, they completely distort my interpretation of the music
Words do hurt people. Listen to "Ship those niggers back" by Johnny Rebel and tell me that music can't be offensive.
I don't think you need to listen to that song to know it's offensive.
Guy in club: What kind of music do you listen to? Girl: Oh um, Taylor Swift, Panic! at the Disco, Maroon 5, that kind of stuff Guy in club: Wtf? What about RnB? Girl looking offended: Not as much.. Guy in club: Lol RnB is the best, anyone who listens to anything else is either gay, emo or fucking retarded. Girl walks off: .. Followed the guy around, he had the same conversation with about 5 other people and offended them all with his bullshit. Think it's safe to say he got no pussy.

You, specifically.
I'm somewhat interested in knowing your general taste in music. You, specifically.
his last.fm profile shows a good impression. He mostly likes pre-50s folk music and avant-garde classical composers.
Oh, last.fm, right. That thing I don't use. Which apparently I should
"This song is too old." When people hear anything older than 2 weeks playing on the radio.
I was just playing C:SS and someone just said that The Who were just for old people.
I feel sad for people who only know music that is played on the radio
Oh. That's actually really beautiful. Did you make that yourself?
no
Aw. Is it cropped because I really liked that, and I'd love to see a full version. I actually thought about asking the source of your avatar because I liked it

danke see I like you more than zeke and the other guys thisispain is good too, we're Kraftwerk bros
A: I hate Gorillaz. B: Why? A: They try so hard to be different. B: :|
Gorillaz is one man who collabs.
More of a pet peeve, but I hate how the music scene facilitates people like lil John who scarcely produce good work of their own and instead make shitty cameos in everyones music and get loaded doing it.
Sometimes I think that people are actually trying to spark music arguments on purpose. For example I was listening to music on my phone with earphones. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT I AM LISTENING TO? [editline]11th July 2011[/editline] And if I tell them what I am listening to they instantly go "LOL THAT BAND/ARTIST SUCKS"
My mom thinks techno isn't music because there's no instruments involved
I used to be like that, now I don't think the same but I still don't like techno because I like my music to be done with instruments :v:
techno is made with instruments
