I just hate how people think Bob Dylan is Bob Marley. It saddens me.
What? How?
You're all still poopheads to me. Especially Akayz.
y u no love me no mo. :( [editline]4th September 2011[/editline]
I just hate how people think Bob Dylan is Bob Marley. It saddens me.
But he is.
Ah the classic "I was just messin' with you so chill out" response. Happens all the time when people back themselves into a corner and realize they failed miserably, typically because of their own ego. I hardly did anything, let alone anything hard to get you to say these few golden words. I'm just some anonymous guy on the internet that caused someone to babysit their internet browser's refresh button so they could feel like a playground bully. Its quite pathetic really.
what are you doing
y u no love me no mo. :(
i never loved you i just used you as a tool to expand my musical tastes MWAHAHHAHAHAHAH
i never loved you i just used you as a tool to expand my musical tastes MWAHAHHAHAHAHAH
i knew it... you always were a tool of sorts.
lmfao. you keep proving how pretentious you really are. you're only 24, mate, you don't need to try to impress us.
See there's part of the problem. I'm not trying to impress anyone. Check your mouth. Your foot is in it.
both of you need to relax with some soul.
always with soul
both of you need to relax with some soul.
Yeah its cool. I'll let him have the last word since that is what he ultimately wants. For some reason people equate last word with brilliance or victory. Its been 3 minutes since I posted so it shouldn't be too much longer. I think I'm gonna go throw some nu jazz on the turntable and grab a scotch. With this rain outside its going to make for an incredible environment.
I'll let him have the last word since that is what he ultimately wants.
That's not soulful. When a man has some soul, he forgives and then proceeds by recommending some soul. :smug:
That's not soulful. When a man has some soul, he forgives and then proceeds by recommending some soul. :smug:
There's nothing to forgive him for. He hasn't done anything (unless you count that whole 'cunt' thing which I couldn't care less about) but yeah. Not really following you there.
Guys are you seriously arguing about being pretentious in the music subforum this subforum has had its collective head lodged far up its collective ass for a while now
if I'm at a party and my friend megan is there she doesn't let me put on music for some retarded fucking reason.
Next 'Worst Thing You've Ever Heard About Music" thread should be "Non-musical Arguments Edition". But that also applies to every music thread :suicide:
Next 'Worst Thing You've Ever Heard About Music" thread should be "Non-musical Arguments Edition". But they also applies to every music thread :suicide:
There's been threads that didn't have any sort of argument.
I just hate how people think Bob Dylan is Bob Marley. It saddens me.
rip bob dilen 420 smoke weed~
RIP Elton Jhon king of hippiez1
I just hate how people think Bob Dylan is Bob Marley. It saddens me.
I thought they were the same person?
Here's something. When people generalize the entirety of modern female popstars implying that they're all awful because of what they do. Just because they're in the same group, it doesn't mean that they're all the same quality. While Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Pink are in the same mainstream style, the quality of their work in comparison can be both insulting and complimentive. Putting Rihanna in the same group as Lady Gaga is like putting Cannibal Corpse in the same group as Obituary. Both are the same deal but one makes good music while the other does not
Rihanna is okay.. not soulful though.
Rihanna is okay.. not soulful though.
I liked her part in "All of the lights"

Christia Aguilera's voice is amazing
"Black people ruined music" :suicide:
"Black people ruined music" :suicide:
Black people invented music, more or less Most forms of music we have today (minus classical) was developed from blues, which was invented by black slaves working on plantations
Black people invented music, more or less Most forms of music we have today (minus classical) was developed from blues, which was invented by black slaves working on plantations
Classical and folk. Also you could take it further and say that blues was descended from African tribal music
Black people invented music, more or less Most forms of music we have today (minus classical) was developed from blues, which was invented by black slaves working on plantations
I love using bits of info like this to make racists look stupid. Music made by black people has some of the sexiest rhythmic permutations ever.
Plus Kanye West
Black people invented music, more or less Most forms of music we have today (minus classical) was developed from blues, which was invented by black slaves working on plantations
Of course we can praise the people whose influences have lasted into the modern day, but there are cultures in music that have lasted a lot longer than something like blues. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamisen That for example, originated from somewhere around the 1500s. Still alive today in their culture.
Oh no, opinions! What ever shall we do?
Oh no, Sarcasm! When will I ever realize it!!
