Black Friday 2014 - Skip Thanksgiving Dinner for a $5 Blender. - General

Sooo... picked up the Xbox one bundle! XB1 + MCC + $30 GC for $349 after tax :D It was surprisingly easy. I was expecting massive fury, lines, etc. Literally just walked in, sure it was crowded but nothing crazy. Walked over to a pallet full of xboxes about 15 minutes after they started, no lines or anything and just picked it up. The longest part about the whole thing was waiting in line at the cashier for 10 minutes.

Forgot to update the thread, oh well. Going to grab some more stuff tomorrow, but I got some things: - Xbox One + Kinect Refurbished w/ Ryse: Son of Rome Download, Dance Central: Spotlight Download, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and 1 month of Xbox Live for $350 after tax. From the Microsoft Store Online. - Metal Gear Rising: Revengence and Yakuza: Dead Souls for $5 each on PS3. 'Used' but it was factory sealed and the discs are pristine. From Walmart. - Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Steelbook for $5. Supposed to be $8 but the cashier just scanned a 'used' game again to drop it down to $5. From Walmart. May sell the Kinect and Dance Central since I have no space to set one up and I could buy other games with that money. Was going to pick up the Walmart MCC + $30 Gift Card bundle for $330 but thought the crowd would be massive, and it was. I'm sure getting it refurbished is fine, but getting an actual physical copy of MCC is a big plus. Getting Ryse and either the Kinect or the money from the Kinect is also a bonus I guess. 90 day warranty otherwise. Also the Walmart I went to was as badly put together as every year. I was trying to find a Blu-Ray copy of Godzilla, which they didn't have, but they laid out their movies and games randomly it seemed. Nobody could find Advanced Warfare and while all the Xbox games were together, PlayStation games were in 3 different sections. Also they sort of left unguarded 3DS XL bundles in a place where nobody but the crowd would see them steal it, and I am 100% sure someone did that by the end of the night.

Man I really wish I knew of the MS store bundle with 3 games and kinect for the same price I got my walmart bundle.. would have gotten that over it in a heartbeat. Sure getting an xb1+mcc for effectively $300 is great and all, but getting XB1+mcc+(2 bullshit games)+kinect for $330 is way way better. At least you could sell the fluff you didn't want. I'd try and return it if it wasn't for I already opened everything up and redeemed the code :(

I have 90 days to return but you have a year.

We're getting black friday adverts over here in the UK, half of them aint even sales. It's just their normal ads with [B]BLACK FRIDAY WOOOW[/B] plastered on top. Getting kinda sick of this americanism happening to retail, black friday doesn't mean shit over here, hell I don't even know what it's about other than people go fucking nuts to buy shit they don't need.
