I really really hope that anti air combat is better, in JC2 as long as you took out the AA batteries(which was almost too easy) NOTHING stood a threat
Just Cause 2 with more incentive to explore is all I need.

I just came.
my only concern is that the game seems kinda easy. I hope there are difficulty modes where i die with a few bullets.
Maybe i have too high of expectations but the one thing I've always wanted to do in Just Cause is be able to destroy the buildings in a free and dynamic manner in any of the towns. Ex. blow a hole in a wall or topple over skyscrapers Other than that, Just Cause 3 looks amazing.
The problem with the difficulty in JC2 wasn't the amount of damage you could take or deal, it was that the NPCs weren't good at taking you down. It is incredibly easy to escape pursuit and the only way you die while flying is if you crash. JC3 needs NPCs better at pursuing the player. One of the highlights of JC2 is right at the beginning when you're escaping with that swedish dude and you can grapple the military jeeps to the ground to make them flip over
Jc2 free roam pretty much utterly lacked any of the chases the game was built on, it was awesome but I play it from time to time and honestly, you can never really force those. You can never really crawl around the front of a jeep one after another when you're the target. It's really a fantastic game that gets a bit slowed down in no small part with how hard it really is to get the world to come play with you. I think they're going to fix that. I hope at least.
I can't remember when RF: Guerilla came out, but it suprises me that its first now that I see another game with somewhat procedural destruction, other than Hatred. I mean, AAA game corps could have taken so much advantage of the hardware we have had for years now to make games where there is an actual dynamic. Most modern shooters I have played were basically like point and click adventures, you need to point and click or hold your left mouse button on enemies, and you need to make sure you have done it with all, otherwise the story wont progress. More games with dynamic campaigns and shitloads of physics, please.
They purposefully avoided showing it on any non-chaos buildings, which was my biggest gripe with JC2. I wanted to be able to destroy everything, not just what the devs planned for me to destroy.
I'm pretty excited for being able to actually move around when on top of planes and cars
As far as destroying buildings go, in an interview the devs brought up a good point that they don't want you leveling every building because the game is built around you being able to zip up and around an area during a fight. If you flattened everything you wouldn't have many places to grapple on.
First game I've ever preordered.

Having decent building destruction in a game of this scale would probably take ages to make. If they could have implemented it but chose not to, why not just have the player choose? You blow up everything, instant karma because you lose mobility. Why not be a little creative and add some options, turn building destruction on/off, or just even use the save function and go fuck shit up. I loved just cause 2, but if I had to pick a thing out of a list that bothered me to an extent, I would say flying a plane into a building and leaving it unscathed is up there. Even

The grapple hook is a major part of the game, so it wouldn't make sense to add a feature as expensive as full environmental destruction if it only really serves to undermine your mobility.
I am missing animals in this, no wilflife for JC3?
Looks pretty cool, especially the stuff you can do inside the game.
I am missing animals in this, no wilflife for JC3?
Devs confirmed minor wildlife aspects, no details if there's anything aside from birds and fish.
Devs confirmed minor wildlife aspects, no details if there's anything aside from birds and fish.
There better be cows, just so I can be driving at hundreds of miles per hour when I can bash into them, making the cow go full "Team Rocket blasting off again" while going "MOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo" off into the distance.
So basically it's just JC2 except slightly better at everything it did. That's fine, but I feel like it lacks that certain something, that "BOOM" that really makes a sequel.
I honestly feel like this is far too much like JC2. I'd love to see a more city-like map (eg. GTA San Andreas), rather than constant islands. Just my two cents.

With that same logic, that's basically saying GTA V lacks the boom that really makes a sequel.

Compare GTA IV and GTA V and you'll find a lot of differences — brand new map (different setting!), new characters, new storyline, etcetera, whilst on the other hand, JC2 and JC3 are very much alike. The map is practically the same setting, the storyline features another ruthless hispanic dictator and the protagonist seems very similar. I understand where you're coming from but I feel like they could have done so much more to change the sequel and make it more interesting whilst still keeping the classic Just Cause elements.
You haven't even seen the map [editline]16th July 2015[/editline] I don't know what you really expect. This is what I expected.
- How the fuck was Panau and Baby Panay hispanic?
I believe the first game had a hispanic dictator which might be what he's talking about. It doesn't really matter much to me though. I'll probably play the shit out of this game, just like I did with the first(despite its many, many flaws) and the second. All I look for in sequels to Just Cause are more cool military vehicles to play around with, more neat weapons, and more shit to blow up.

I kinda hope Rico is at least a bit squishy. All those stunts are even more fun to pull off if you know you can get splattered if you mess them up. At least that is my opinion.

Also I really hope the stunt jump and melee buttons are separate, it was so annoying jumping on top of a jeep when I wanted to grapple whip some chump, though it looks like the grapple whip is replace with a more generic gun bash thing.

In Just Cause 2, there's a mixture of every kind of area. There's the wide open desert, the tropical area, the mountains covered in snow, and the urban area. I'm pretty sure it's going to be the same way in Just Cause 3 and I don't really see how that's bad - if anything, there's going to be a huge increase in detail between areas, whereas in JC2 it was sort of equally lackluster but large in every place.
