Been in Austin for the F1 race this weekend, and I can vouch for it being weird.
Europeans are generally welcomed in texas, as a lot of the local areas are old German community's, and a lot of our roads have Germanic names.
But if you're going to act like that, thinking all texas are going to call you communist, dont come please.
I was just kidding. I've always heard good things about Texas. Got some friends who visited and said the people were very welcoming. I'd really love to visit. Looks like a beautiful place.
Texas is lovely, except Houston. And Galveston. And Corpus Christi. I guess in theory some of these places sound quite nice- strip clubs and liquor stores on every corner. However, in real life they tend to be much less than utopic...

I live in Plano and it's a fantastic place.
"n 2005, Plano was designated the best place to live in the Western United States by CNN Money magazine. In 2006, Plano was selected as the 11th best place to live in the United States by CNN Money magazine.[5] Plano schools consistently score among the highest in the nation.[6] It has been rated as the wealthiest city in the United States by CNN Money[7] with a poverty rate of less than 6.4%. In 2008, Forbes.com selected Plano, University Park, and Highland Park as the three "Top Suburbs To Live Well" of Dallas.[8] The United States Census Bureau declared Plano the wealthiest city of 2008 by comparing the median household income for all U.S. cities whose populations were greater than 250,000"
Read that and be amazed at the prosperity. I truly am lucky to live here.
If Plano is that fantastic Odessa is shit on a sandwich with a sparkler in it.
where do i find texas
I live in Odessa. Because of an oil boom going on right now, a lot of people are poor and multiple families are bunching up in houses. While people in the oil business are livin it up.
I live in Midland (less than an hour from Odessa), and this is 100% accurate.
I lived in San Antonio, moved near Austin, and this summer moved back to San Antonio.
I then realized that I probably shouldn't have done that.
What do your cities even look like? Here are some google images that I can attest to:

Who here has been to The Oasis, outside of austin, at the end of lakeway, on the lake, foods terrible, but the view is good.

Oh sweet, a Texas thread.
I just moved into Alamo Heights, close to San Antonio.
I like it, honestly.
And I can confirm that there are a lot of Mexicans.
The middle of Texas seems like an odd place for a WWII museum but whatever I don't judge, I wish there was a WWII museum near Dallas

I've been to Austin before but all I saw was the capitol building, which actually looked grand enough to contest the united states capitol building

Mexicans are cool though. Sucks thought that there is a language barrier sometimes.

No, I definitely am. The way I see it there are two Texan cities besides living in the country- Dallas, and Austin.

Lakeway, Dripping Springs, Bee caves, Wimberly, San Marcos.
All upper class areas.

Dallas isn't that great in my opinion.
Lakeway, Dripping Springs, Bee caves, Wimberly, San Marcos.

I know one more upper class that resides off of Texas 360, but honestly who goes there. I wish I could like Austin, only time it's fun is when the F1 race is in town, but besides that Austin is pretty basic. We need a theme park
So who has been to the Alamo Draft house, they're mostly in Austin, but i know there's a few out there, like Houston and maybe Dallas.
