Never been to Corpus but I considered the possibility of going to TAMUCC eventually. Though I'll probably end up going to TAMUG soon.
TAMUCC & TAMUG are both pretty reasonably priced. However, if you're looking for a school with a nightlife or a school with lots going on, I don't think either will satisfy that.
Aesthetically, TAMUCC is decently clean and isn't near as unattractive as the city that surrounds it.
When I took the basic courses I had a ton of really great professors, but now that I'm taking only upper level computer science courses I find the curriculum lacking.
I hope you like chick fil a, because that's the only place to get fresh food on campus. Highschool food is better than everything else served on campus.
Best part of campus is the gym, its huge and usually not crowded.

If you're doing computer science you should just go to College Station. I want to go to TAMUG for marine biology.
I'm going to go to Baylor next year in Waco because they have an excellent premed program and medical school. Well, at least, I hope I get accepted to Baylor and its premed program, but with my test scores and whatnot, I'm thinking that I will be.
Man I hate Austins weather. It's either 30 out or it's 100. Make up your bloody mind.
I have, it's on the other side of grapevine lake from lewisville (lewisville and carrolton border plano)
I was born in Grapevine. Since I started living on my own I moved to a nice little town just west of Austin.
Aww, man I wished I lived in Austin, all the way here in San Antonio.

At least for the next week it looks like it won't fluctuate much from the mid-70's. October was just stupid
I used to go on trips to Brownsville with my family, the beaches suck but there was this place that could make some kick ass chorizo.

Everybody I know calls Texas' weather bipolar, and, although I'm sure it's the same in many other places, I'd have to agree- it's exactly the same up here in Dallas
Also Denton represent!
Which side of Plano do you live on zzzz?
West? East? Or in the middle?
West
so me and my friend are at willow bend mall and his car gets broken into... it didn't make a very comfortable ride back what with the broken glass etc. furthermore, it was too far out in the parking lot to be caught on surveillance
SINCE WHEN IS THERE CRIME IN TX, HOME OF THE LAND AND FREE OF THE BRAVE
Wow and in Willow Bend too, right in the middle of superrichville.
Interesting...I always leave my GPS / Nexus 7 up on the dash and some other things laying around.
Never been broke into. Also it kinda helps when you have 5% tint all around. :v:
Oh hey, Never noticed this chat thread.
REMEMBER THE ALAMO, REMEMBER GOLIAD.
we gotta keep the thread alive in contest with our dirty rivals, the northerners and the southwesterners.

I really wish there was a way to make a map that everybody could just pin their location on, that would be neat
How many of you fellow Texans own a gun?
Ok everybody in the thread who has posted their location so far is on the map, though I may have got some wrong. Check it out!

hi
M44 and Star Model P .45 I own personally. Not gonna list the family arsenal though.
How many of you fellow Texans own a gun?
I own several, most of which are surplus or otherwise old. I currently own an M1 Garand, Mosin Nagant, Remington Model 788, and a 10/22 I've had since I was just a little anklebiter.
How many of you fellow Texans own a gun?
Not going to list details but assortment of high powered rifles and shotguns. No pistols yet tho.
[editline]fgjkhn[/editline] Also the map is kinda wrong with me.. I'm in Lindale. Just directly above I-20.
none yet, hoping to grab one at the next gun show in december.

In and around the Houston area, it can be finnicky, but we never see snow. When I was first here for a thirteen year gap, we saw it once. And it was enough to make two snow-balls if you scrapped it off of the hoods of cars. My Canadian friends still laugh at that.
Texas is lovely, except Houston. And Galveston. And Corpus Christi. I guess in theory some of these places sound quite nice- strip clubs and liquor stores on every corner. However, in real life they tend to be much less than utopic...
Welcome to every major city ever.
All those places have some fucking amazing areas, but most of it is business/mediocre/don't-stop-the-car. And the beaches are murky. Doesn't stop the boardwalk from being a fun place.
Also Conroe represent.
