Schindler's List.
I was going to say that.
Four pages and not one single mention of My Dog Skip? For shame.
Oh man I remember that one when I was 10. The ending broke me down.
of mice and men
The thin red line. Especially when Whit dies, i shed a manly tear to that scene every time.
The bayonett charge/fight and slaughter in the village was the saddest part IMO. Great movie, very sad!
Forrest Gump... All of it made my cry "Life is like a box of chocolates, You never know what your gonna get."
Armageddon.
Bridge to Terabithia
Bridge to Terabithia
I absolutely hated the ending it's so fucked up, don't understand what the author was trying to accomplish.
Last Minutes with Oden. This is definitely the saddest movie I've seen. It's a short film, but I GUARANTEE you'll cry. Please take the time to watch it. It's extremely moving.
Goddammit, why did I watch that. I'm weak when it comes to pets dieing in a movie, especially dogs.
I found Where the Wild Things Are to be pretty saddening just because I once knew what it was like to be a lonely kid and had to create a "wild" imagination. Yet, one day, I would have to leave it all behind.
Boy A 2:37 Crash tearfest for sure.

I haven't even seen Up yet, and I teared up watching that.
Reign Over Me.
and Pay it forward
I don't watch alot of sad movies. But Up made me sad.
Me too :frown:
King Kong is sad. He never asked to be taken from Skull Island. Poor ape never deserved to be killed.
Terminator 2, the last scene D:
Schindler's list made me cry like a baby.
United 93.. the ending...
I found Where the Wild Things Are to be pretty saddening just because I once knew what it was like to be a lonely kid and had to create a "wild" imagination. Yet, one day, I would have to leave it all behind.
Where The Wild Things Are has to be my favorite movie of all time. The depth is off-the-wall intense. you see the trailers and think "oh, it's a children's movie." It isn't. It's a movie for adults about childhood, as director Spike Jonze says. When you're a kid you have a wild imagination and you can imagine and dream whatever you want; you can freely pretend and be self-centered and care-free and happy. That's what being a kid is all about! Then you go to school and grow up and learn responsibility and reality and everything becomes far more blunt and less creative and fathomable... and you watch this movie and realize "wow, I can still have an imagination if I want." It really pains me to see so many people be uncreative any more when they could continue to imagine anything they want like I do. Anyway, I'm kind of shocked you guys didn't mention too much of BIG FISH and IN AMERICA. These movies are guaranteed to have anyone bawling. [editline]11:32PM[/editline] oh, and movies like Radio and Coach Carter are pretty powerful, too. The scene in Coach Carter had me in tears (you know what i'm talking about)
When Forrest Gump get's laid.
Terminator 2, the last scene D:
I still lold when he gave the thumbs up. Edit: 1000th post:D
Passchendaele. Last scene where Michael tells Sarah the quote he told her when they first dated. Then he dies in her arms. That scene broke me out into tears.(You gotta watch the full movie too get the feeling toward it) Also! For machinima... Jill's Song hands down.
The Iron Giant made me cry.
Goddammit, why did I watch that. I'm weak when it comes to pets dieing in a movie, especially dogs.
:D Me too, for me its cats though, I saw the end of the "Dead Like Me" film where [sp] the woman finally has to put her dying cat to sleep, and you see the vets office and the vet approach the cat with the needle [/sp], and I started crying! It reminded me too much of my own cat who had to be put to sleep, and I never got to say goodbye because I was out of the country when it happened. I tend to avoid sad movies because I have depression. Schnindlers List makes me really sad throughout the whole film. So does real holocaust footage, I saw a clip in my 6th form history class, it was of a little toddler being seperated from his mother in a camp and the little kid was desperately trying to run to her but the nazi soldier was repeatedly pushing him away :( As a kid I cried a lot at The Fox and The Hound :D
Shooting Dogs.
pretty sure this trumps everything mentioned so far: It's also very good in addition to be being a real tear-jerker, I highly recommend it.
The mist for the ending.
Falling down. Sucks how "d-fens" ends up dying and his wife hating him. :/
100% agree. Only film I ever cried at.
The mist for the ending.
That was really hard to watch :(
Pyle's death in Full Metal Jacket. They treated him so badly.... :saddowns:
