Digital achievements don't mean much in reality, but that's not the point, it's time time you put into it. Its like going to work and not receiving a paycheck, (which is what happened to me today)...

I upgraded from a 250GB drive to a 640GB one a few months ago, about a week or two ago, bam the hard drive is dead and my PC won't POST. I took the whole thing apart to check for blown caps and whatnot and put it all back together and that made it POST, but the hard drive was still junk. had to downgrade to a refurb'd 500GB seagate i had.
The only data i REALLY cared about was my music, but it was also all on my phone.
Tomorrow is payday, i'm investing in a new bubbler so i can have more than just my chillum i bought to replace the 5 or 6 pieces that have been taken by the po-po or stolen by not so trustworthy people.
It's pretty fucking awesome, i don't have any pictures of it but it has two glass snakes protruding from it.
And i just got a 2C-B connect, i'm going to trip balls
On the bright side, I'm robo-tripping tomorrow with my buddies, and seeing savages on Saturday.
My dad gave me 20 dollars because he felt bad about the shit that happened today.
If I can get my files back or at least the important things, then this week will go from shit, to not so shit.

The real reason i love getting all the achievement/trophies is because i feel like i have 100% the game sometimes. If i dont get them all it just bothers me. Makes me feel like i didn't truly beat the game.

it's just prolonging the experience with mundane tasks and bullshit.
i play games till i get sick of them. then i replay them when i feel like it or pick it back up again if i didn't beat it.

instead of playing a game to death with trophies i'd rather just take in as much as i feel like then leaving it be.
the only kind of reward i like is something that alters game play, be it new guns or mods or what the fuck ever. otherwise achievements with no rewards can fuck off.

I wasn't just talking about "Achievements" like in-game trophies and shit, I'm talking about accomplishing things in games in general.
Some people enjoy games for different things man, I can never be fucked with 100% bullshit but a lot of people apparently like to so just live and let live

Wow... since when is the word achievement become exclusive to In-game trophies and gamerscore or whatever the fuck.
An achievement is something you are proud of accomplishing. Weather that's digital, or something you did IRL.
And when I say "Time you put into it" Let me put it into perspective for you.
You "Play" World of Warcraft for 1 year, your character has reached a high level, and you've gotten a fucking smorgasbord of expensive items, you still "played" to get that shit.
Now lets say your account for whatever reason stopped working, are you not going to say you put time and effort into it?

When you work on something cumulatively like a World of Warcraft character, it's common every year or so to just sit back and look through everything you've accomplished through your achievements and other statistics.
