It represents itself in everything they are, they try to figure it out with all they are but however hard they try, they cant because their brain-function on that part is impaired, and it always returns a incorrect consequence once it gets even the least bit complex. Which is why simple things are doable most of the time for them.
This also explains the anger attacks they tend to have, because they cant figure out the reasoning behind people's actions it can scare them when they get too close to them because theyre unable to know if its an agressive or friendly action, so once it hurts the least bit they go into frenzy out of self defence.

there are a few things wrong with this. Its not just this "calculating cause and response" thing, its a little more complicated than that. The right hemisphere of the brain is stronger at deciphering human faces, as we have an innate ability to recognize them, its an evolutionary thing, we have to know in a split second what information another human is showing us via their emotion. (cool fact, emotions are universal, a disgusted face made by an isolated tribe will look similar and be interpreted as the same as by one of a chinese person, or whatever other nationality.) So, as you develop (autism is a developmental disability) you learn about the world around you by using many born with tools. One of them is looking to your caregiver and examining their face just before you continue with an action, or go to do something. If your mother has a smile on, you know its safe and continue, if her face is afraid, surprised, or maybe angry you will not go through with it. Autistic kids obviously fail this test, along with other facial recognition tasks like a (fuck i knew i shouldnt have slept in that class) true and false tests, something like that. There are some kinds of tests where the child has to look at the experimenter to judge the outcome of an event, whatever you get the point, autistic children struggle. Its not like autistic kids dont play because they dont want to either, they have difficulty with pretend play and makes people think that they have trouble conjuring up intent, or motives of other people, so that adds to it. Also, when it comes to computers and stuff, i dont think its because of that reason. Autistic kids need and i mean NEED consistency, as they hate it when their routine is disturbed. They like to lack on to specific things or tasks that make them happy. It can be the most random thing in the world like putting a DVD on the floor, standing up and staring at it while he rocks his head back and forth. Maybe because they can watch videos over and over again, repeating mindless clips on the computer is what attracts them to the computer, but i doubt its because they understand how computers work that attracts them.
there has been a lot of research into finding a cure. I mean its a growing problem, and my state NJ has the most cases of autism. There is one new development where they are using powerful magnets on the brain to polarize certain areas of the brain, and has shown to relieve some of the violent outbursts and some other symptoms. Maybe its an electrical problem with the brain (remember my thread, Action potentials) instead of chemical (neurotransmitters). However scientists do feel it might be caused by insufficient ability to break down and utilize certain vitamins and minerals.
All of this is about autism, i dont know how much of this is true for aspergers since its considered "like autism but with language difficulty". Im not sure what they mean by that, if its a category under autism or something else entirely.
