How did you get the picture to look like this? I saw a thread on it awhile ago and was too stupid to bookmark it.
It looks similar to the pictures used in adult swim bumpers, if anyone knows what im talking about.
You need to work on your framing a bit. There are a couple of objects which are slightly cut out of frame.
Other than that, pretty good stuff dude. Keep working at it.
Then you've obviously never used a high-quality macro lens.
I was so bothered by this for some reason that I ran to the garage to make my own reverse adapter using an lense cap and an unused UV filter. took pictures along the way :)

And here are some results I got with it. Probably not the best examples, but the point is that the casual photographer does not have to dread spending $600 on a macro lense when there is a cheaper $6 or so alternative that can give nearly JUST AS GOOD results. I am in no way saying this is BETTER, but it is cheaper and the results are worthwhile.

It's just a simple dash of HDR.
I edited it all to get it.
But if you take an underexposed and overexposed picture you can get that effect better with HDR plugin software for photoshop.
A cheap fix.
But nothing can replace a macro lens.
True, but I'm not spending 300-at-the-very-least-dollars just to get a macro lens when I could do that instead.
If that's the kind of imaging you wanted to do, you could have just gotten a microscope.
Now you are talking stupid. He was proving the method he mentioned works just fine.
Updated pictures.

The second to last photo is my favorite out of your batch of photos, the rest are decent but not too great.
