looks like it has one or more blades that fold into the handle to me captain fukken ninja
I disagreed on the part where my knife was claimed to not be a pocketknife, a Swiss Army Knife is defiantly a pocketknife.
Webster can kiss my ass, a pocket knife is a tool, OP's shit is a stabbing weapon.
A large board of respectable professionals of the English language can kiss your ass as they don't agree with your definition of the "pocketknife"? I do use my knife as a tool, actually it is a tool in my everyday life. While mainly serving to open packages, boxes, and envelopes, it serves me well as a tool. You might as well say a meat cleaver is meant to be used to hack at human flesh rather than chicken and pork.
I'm saying that switchblades aren't tools, they're weapons. If you want a tool, get the REAL tool of a knife, instead of trying to pass off a concealed weapon as a "tool"
My knife is not a switchblade, it's a manual knife. A manual knife where you push the blade out MANUALLY with your thumb.
A cop tryed to confinscate my knife because I was 13. So Being the genius I am I asked for a reciept. He said "what?" then i said " officer if you are to confinscate any object on my person you are to give me a reciept of proof that it is illegal to carry the object if not you are breaking the law I file a compliant you get suspended."The cop gave me back my knife. My dad told to do that if a cop trys to confinscate my knife. The same thing happened to my older brother. They usually give the knife to thier sons or some shit like that or personal use.
Well is it illegal to carry around a knife? I mean, it's a knife in your pocket, that sounds to me like a concealed weapon [editline]04:51AM[/editline]
I disagreed on the part where my knife was claimed to not be a pocketknife, a Swiss Army Knife is defiantly a pocketknife. A pocket knife is specifically used as a tool. I guess I could use my dinner fork as a tool to open a box with, but that still doesn't change that it's a dinner fork. and it would be better replaced by a pocket knife.
I have a knife that's very similar to yours, OP, but mine says tactical and it wouldn't help me much if I were stopped by an officer. :saddowns:

And I had my shirt tucked in So he saw it and asked me why i had it I said Utility purpoeses he said your a lyer I am confinscating it my first post says the rest but after the fight. ( guy my friend was fighting ended up finding a broken bottle and trying to stab my freind. so my freind judo fliped his ass.

I'd think you'd agree. Just because Smith & Wesson is a company known to produce firearms and combat knives, it doesn't mean they are only focused on producing firearms and combat knives.

Why does a pocket knife have to be "not as dangerous"? I know Boy Scouts use safety pocketknives but it does not mean every single pocketknife is designed as such. 2. What? 3. Just because it has a stabbing point, it's a weapon? Just because it's designed in a similar manner as a practical combat knife? Have you ever heard of stabbing into the duct tape of a box? Have you ever heard of a design for endurance? I apologize for avoiding your argument, am I still doing it?
What makes you think he was taking it for himself? Not to uphold the law just to take it for him self . Nothing more nothing less. If he really was upholding the law he would have givien me a reciept.
tacticool 12 year old shit
How ironic that you label others as "12 years old" and yet use a completely pejorative meaningless word ("tacticool").
1. Who are you calling 12 year old? Why does a pocket knife have to be "not as dangerous"? If the less dangerous, more useful design is better, than why would you use the tacticool version that 12 year olds and rednecks collect? 2. He was on his way to a fight. The cop should have confiscated it for being a concealed weapon without a license. 3. When something is built the same way as a combat tactical knife meant for stabbing people to kill, it's a weapon. I doubt that they design and sell all these "tools" just for the specific reason of cutting open duct tape. These things are easily replaced by a swiss army knife in case you need something.
You dont ned a licence to carry a pocket knife. Are you implying that boy scouts should be arrested for not having a licence to carry a knife. No one has ever needed a licence to own a knife. And it is called self defense.

You're too ready to assume that cops are just a bunch of assholes who are out to steal weapons and shit from little kids.
-snip- My point was proven by OP

I don't think many of you would agree but I believe a sharper edge is a safe edge. Why? So when you're doing your job, you make a cleaner cut and there's less risk the blade would slip and cut into your arm or hand. 2. That does seem reasonable. 3. Swiss Army Knives are expensive, at least around here they cost at least $25 (even at the flea market). Knives that are designed like "combat tactical knives" happen to be around the $5 to $10 region, and they are sold at variety stores like Wal-Mart. Yes my "tactical" knife is from Wal-Mart, as I hear anyways.

Besides, he was going to a fight. Now, bringing a knife to "back your friend up"? What kind of bull is that if you're telling me it's legal to use a weapon like that? More legal bull incoming.
Being in the military I have all kinds of uses for a knife.. so I carry mine on me at all times. Cutting rope (I tie stuff down in my truck), cutting strings (why on earth would I carry a scissor or something to get rid of them when a knife has many more purposes), opening stupid fucking plastic containers, and other various uses. But I made sure mine was within the laws of the area.. if not it's not lie I'm going to pull it out. Next time you see the officer be like "Sir, I currently have my pocket knife on me and it's within the laws of this county and state" before he even finds it. They're gonna (hopefully) respect you more since you came out with it instead of (unintentionally) making it look like you didn't want them to find it. I wish I could keep that knife you posted though in my boots. Would be interesting..
Webster can kiss my ass, a pocket knife is a tool, OP's shit is a stabbing weapon.
Almost everything is a stabbing weapon with enough force and a suitably large target.

Oh Okay. so because something is more expensive, you're going to go out and buy a weapon to replace it. 25$ is not expensive AT ALL for something that will require no replacing.
wow a knife? you must be some sort of serial killer
Almost everything is a stabbing weapon with enough force and a suitably large target.
Yes, but OP's weapon was designed to do so. a swiss knife was designed as a tool.
Almost everything is a stabbing weapon with enough force and a suitably large target.
most things would require a ridiculous speed or force, objects like bricks and rocks lol imagine that "FUCK I GOT STABBED BY A BRICK AUGH"
tell us about fighting the muggers
Does the serration make cuts from it worse? As far as I know, a serrated edge makes the knife act more like a saw and be better at sawing hard materials. Unless you use a sawing motion, which you probably wouldn't do while attacking someone, I don't think you could cut as bad with a serrated edge.
It's just another case of someone not knowing what the fuck anything is, and since it looks like it, it must be it! derpa derp derp derp. Serrated tears worse then a blade, causing more pain, but it does not cut as deep.

Plus its pretty hard not to hide a pocket knife on the count of it having a clip in it to place in a pocket. And yes I was going to witness a fight OHHH is that to scary for you to comprehend. Oh and I am so sorry that I know my laws.
