Frisked cause you were black.
1. you can sharpen a swiss army knife. 2. It's the law. Hiding a weapon is a crime. 3. Oh Okay. so because something is more expensive, you're going to go out and buy a weapon to replace it. 25$ is not expensive AT ALL for something that will require no replacing.
1. I never said you couldn't sharpen a Swiss Army Knife. 2. Not unless you have a type of concealed weapon permit. 3. I was given the knife and I don't agree. I believe that there would be a time where you have to replace a part of the Swiss Army Knife, namely the blade where you have to either buy a spare or buy another Swiss Army Knife. A well-cared knife will last a very long time, even a cheapo one. Well unless the cheapo knife is plain old crappy.
Hiding a fire arm is a crime.
Well guess what in my city cops are a bunch of assholes. Plus its pretty hard not to hide a pocket knife on the count of it having a clip in it to place in a pocket. And yes I was going to witness a fight OHHH is that to scary for you to comprehend. Oh and I am so sorry that I know my laws.
that's a generalization, isn't it? You shouldn't have been going to a fight in the first place. You shouldn't be concealing a weapon on the way to a fight You shouldn't get in the habit of lying to cops You don't know it's against the law to conceal a weapon. You said that a sharper knife is better, implying that Swiss knives are dull 2. Yea a 13 year old totally has a concealed weapons permit 3. Yea, because swiss army knives totally break all the time. you'd have to be a dumbass to break a Swiss knife. Tools are designed not to break.
What were you going to do? Gut a fish during the movie instead of paying for popcorn?

When it looks scary?

What I was doing is being a good friend. I grabbed my pocket knife and rode my bike to the park. Got stopped My first post story got over to the park. Freind ended up winning 2 other guys ran away becasue they know I carry a knife. And if I had called the cops they would make a bigger deal out of a small fight.
So when does it change from a tool to a weapon? When it looks scary?
it's use-intention and it's creation intention.

It looks like I've caused a misunderstanding, I didn't mean it that way and I think I went over my head over your statement. So you say a safer design is a better one? I do agree but I come from a culture of "if it works, improve and use it". So my more dangerous "tactical-like" knife is here to stay, but the "12-year old" in me says "I'd like a Swiss Army Knife too as a crafting knife." 2. You were talking about 13 year olds? They sure can't even get the simplest of permits. 3. I was implying that even the best cared Swiss Army Knife would need replacements parts some day down the line, even if it's 50 years away. Tools are not designed to be unbreakable, they are designed for function and endurance.

holy fucking shit its a mildly intimating knife we should tackle him and arrest him [editline]05:37AM[/editline] and then beat him with nightsticks

Yea, the poster says he was 13, carrying a knife, on his way to a fight 3. A combat knife requires replacement parts eventually. money is a necessary sacrifice for safety
Poster?
Poster?
that would be you
Which means fucking what.
Which means fucking what.
You posted.
You do know every one here has a name.
What the fuck?
American gun laws are retarded. A flamethrower is legal in every state. Shotguns and rifles can be bought once you're 18, but getting a pistol requires you to be 21. The (thankfully-expired) assault weapons ban is described by both sides of the debate as useless, only banning guns that look scary, with no effect on usage. A silencer is more restricted than some actual firearms. We really need to reform the laws so they make sense. The general position is about right, a decent compromise, but the implementation is insane.

I believe the Swiss Army Knife is the model of multi-purpose of all pocketknives, well if I ignore the imitators. 2. I read his post, I honestly think it's stupid to even go into the fight in the first place.
Only reason I had my knife at that time is because I was going to watch a fight that my freind was participating in so if the guy pulled out a switch blade I could back my freind up. And I had my shirt tucked in So he saw it and asked me why i had it I said Utility purpoeses he said your a lyer I am confinscating it my first post says the rest but after the fight. ( guy my friend was fighting ended up finding a broken bottle and trying to stab my freind. so my freind judo fliped his ass.
3. Yes I do agree, the maintenance of the knife is an imminent necessity of the user. Maybe we aren't on absolute opposite ends.
Get one of these 3-4 times as sharp as a pocket knife, and they don't draw much attention. Plus you can carry a shitload of extra blades inside the handle :buddy:
it's use-intention and it's creation intention.
Now he had previously stated that he uses this knife to skin animals and perform other utility functions. Satisfying #1. It has also been stated that Smith and Wesson also make culinary knives. Sharp pointed ends are also used if puncturing something, maybe a thick walled bag of sand. Satisfying #2. Weapons are tools. Tools may not always be weapons.

The movie theater has the right to do whatever the fuck they want, if they say no knives OF ANY KIND then you can't bring in knives, regardless of the states laws.
I'd rather carry a swiss army knife, or moreover a leatherman instead of a tacticool POS like that.

If they just said "no service", it wouldn't be a big deal, but an attempted false arrest could be criminal.
That knife is clearly not intended for use as a tool of any sort. It is for tearing flesh. That is why you had a problem. Next time, don't bring a weapon to a kid's movie, and maybe you won't run into these problems. [editline]06:06AM[/editline]
But they tried to get him arrested.
