That knife is clearly not intended for use as a tool of any sort. It is for tearing flesh. That is why you had a problem. Next time, don't bring a weapon to a kid's movie, and maybe you won't run into these problems. [editline]06:06AM[/editline] But they didn't lie.
But didn't he forget that the knife was in his pocket? How can you prevent it if you don't know its there?
I am Herphooshio
Were you a victim of knife violence as a child?
But didn't he forget that the knife was in his pocket? How can you prevent it if you don't know its there?
Pay more attention.
This is what 9/11 did to America. You can't do anything fun anymore :(
No, but tell me why a TOOL has a stabbing point on it? and why is it identical in design to a combat knife? Because it's not a tool. The pocket knife is superior in many ways, including that it's not as dangerous as that tacticool 12 year old shit [editline]04:57AM[/editline] Ok that seriously sounds like a concealed weapon, he SHOULD have taken it. [editline]04:58AM[/editline] you're avoiding my argument that the knife was made as a weapon, not a tool.
I think your just a pussy. A knife is a tool, no matter what. Most armed forces knives look like they were designed just for killing, but it's almost always the opposite. These aren't handguns bro, get over it. Makin me not wanna read the rest of the thread n shit... psh..
I think your just a pussy.
:iceburn:
that is one tiny-ass blade
The blade is verrrry close to 4 inches. I know this because I almost got arrested carrying one.
I thought you were going to see shrek with your cousin, then suddenly you are on your bike on your way to some fight.
The blade is verrrry close to 4 inches. I know this because I almost got arrested carrying one.
What the fuck kinda jumbo knife have you got? That things probably jsut under 1 inch.
What the fuck kinda jumbo knife have you got? That things probably jsut under 1 inch.
I was referring to the swiss army knife a few pages back.
I know.
But didn't he forget that the knife was in his pocket? How can you prevent it if you don't know its there?
How can you forget that you have a knife in your pocket? If it was on a tool belt yeah ok but not in your pocket which amusingly lead to my dad walking around with one of in his tool belt whilst he was going to a shop.
Damn that's one nice pocket knife.
it's use-intention and it's creation intention.
He intended on using at as a tool and I'm pretty sure they don't make them for the specific intent on murdering everyone. Hmm. [editline]10:53AM[/editline]
I thought you were going to see shrek with your cousin, then suddenly you are on your bike on your way to some fight.
read names better.
ACOG SOPMOD tactical knife with a 10x scope on it for sniping.
You forgot the smokegrenades!
A flamethrower is legal in every state.
Quite frankly, a flamethrower is not at all a practical weapon for a criminal to use, and I don't think that's ever happened. I think a flamethrower is a destructive device. It probably doesn't fall into the same legal realms as firearms.
Isn't it a bit fucked up that guns are legal to carry but brass knuckles and slingshots are illegal?
not slingshots slungshots
How can you forget that you have a knife in your pocket? If it was on a tool belt yeah ok but not in your pocket which amusingly lead to my dad walking around with one of in his tool belt whilst he was going to a shop.
You can get serrated blades :smug: Now it's a TACTICAL WEAPON. I don't really get the laws and regulations on knifes. ic an see why they might do it in a school or something, but in public you could just as easily bash somebodies head in with rock as apposed to stabbing them. It seems like an irrational regulation. Besides it's not like any stabbings actually get prevented by laws and regulations on knifes.
The movie theater has the right to do whatever the fuck they want, if they say no knives OF ANY KIND then you can't bring in knives, regardless of the states laws.
From what the OP said it seems like the theater just got a few police officers to chill at the entrance and search people, it might have been a crowded night and they thought the police would help keep people in line, theaters in my area will do that if they expect a huge audience for a film generally. Also, I used to live in Florida, and the law there is very convoluted. If you just read the law itself, it says that all weapons (including knives) require a CCL if you're carrying it in your pocket, but "common pocketknives" aren't classified as weapons by the definitions. I used to carry around a butterfly knife in Florida and I asked an officer who said it was fine and the other said some bullshit about blade length and serration and another said any knife was just plain illegal. It just depends on your area, where I lived the cops were somewhat nice, except for the short cops, they would arrest you if you dropped a penny out of a hole in your pocket for a littering violation. I guess they're angry that everybody is taller than them so they take it out on us. :geno:
That knife was made as a weapon. It was made by fucking SMITH AND WESSON. A pocket knife is specifically used as a tool. I guess I could use my dinner fork as a tool to open a box with, but that still doesn't change that it's a dinner fork. and it would be better replaced by a pocket knife.
Smith and Wesson don't just make weapons, you know. I own 3 pairs of Smith and Wesson glasses.
that's not a "common" knife for me.
I'm saying that switchblades aren't tools, they're weapons. If you want a tool, get the REAL tool of a knife, instead of trying to pass off a concealed weapon as a "tool"
It isn't a switchblade, genius. Switchblades are actually illegal in most places.
why the fuck carry a knife into a movie theatre anyway? you clearly carry it around to show how cool you are so you deserve to get punished
i thought serrated knifes were not allowed for use in the militaries.
I have a basic knife like this: It feels nice and I usually don't get into much trouble with it.
most things would require a ridiculous speed or force, objects like bricks and rocks lol imagine that "FUCK I GOT STABBED BY A BRICK AUGH"
Reminds me of GTA where the prostitutes run around with "lethal" dildos. If this would happen in real life, I could already imagine the newspaper article: "Pedestrian brutally stabbed to death with a rubber dildo."
Best thing is when going in to public places like that and depending on where you live is just to leave it in your car. I work and use a boxcutter myself along with a pocketknife/fold-able knife. I leave both in the car after work simply so i don't get any trouble, plus the need for a knife after work is almost non-existent unless I'm loading my truck and cutting tie down. Most kids that use knifes like that are simply trying to be cool and usually play with them (Flipping them out then folding them.). That is why they crack down on shit like that, you might be more mature but they don't care about that. All they see is a knife and they don't want that in their establishment.
why the fuck carry a knife into a movie theatre anyway? you clearly carry it around to show how cool you are so you deserve to get punished
I carry a knife with me everywhere that doesn't specifically prohibit it. It's one of the most basic and useful tools available. It goes right alongside a flashlight, wallet, and keys. Whether it be clipped to their pocket, inside their pocket, on their belt, or attached to their keychain, adult males inside the United States frequently carry knives. There are laws on the books specifically protecting folding knives. Even California has protections for folding blades with blades under 3 inches. In Tennessee you can have whatever length you want provided it folds into the handle.
