I don't understand what you are doing
1. Install mIRC
2a. When it loads and you have to pick a server, click on GameSurge to expand it and press random EU server, now press select on the right hand side, thats the important bit
2b. If it doesn't ask you when you launch it go to Tools>Options>Connect>Server then go back to step 2a.
3. Set up the rest of the stuff like your nick etc
4. type /join #facepunchradio
5. Enjoy

I really don't get why you are stuck or even trying to manually enter a server, what client are you using?
