I don't really mind not getting anything/doing anything for my birthday, but I have a secret fantasy that my friends would throw me a surprise party. Now all I gotta do is find some friends.
Sunrise :D Also i wish my dorm didn't have this retarded and filthy window that i can't open. I also wish i could actually get to my window and it wasn't behind my desk and fridge.
I always do loads of stuff for my friends birthdays, organize surprise visits, gather money for big gifts in hope that one day one of them will get the hint and return the favor. Hasn't happened so far. The thing that bugs me about this is... gifts are not about being useful or expensive but it's proof that you know what brings a person happiness. That you know them well enough to give them something they didn't know they would like or need, simply a proof of knowing someone, very personally, intimately even. What depresses me is that my friends propably don't know shit about me or don't care.
I need some help deciding what to get a close friend for his birthday (Topic is fitting because we are both gay and we are speaking about birthdays). He likes most things, so I can't really give you any clues I think. So, what would you want for your birthday? It might give me some inspiration.

happy birthday hangman
I don't have my birthday on my Facebook. I had two friends remember it. I only have myself to blame.
Also i wish my dorm didn't have this retarded and filthy window that i can't open.
Sledgehammer. [editline]april[/editline]
check his wishlist
Watch out though, I keep forgetting I have a wishlist. Make sure his is up to date before doing this.
I feel much like a king in college atm. It's quiet (due to holidays) so there's only a few people around, and it is very pleasant. I read books and browsed the internet in the library, and then got a significant amount of soup and a bread roll for £1. Reclining in a calm hall with soup and internet access. Once again we've beat the Russians.
Wish I could have pet too :c
what kind of pet~
Is steam down for anyone else or is it just my 10/10 comcast internet?
what kind of pet~
Not that kind of pet!
Is steam down for anyone else or is it just my 10/10 comcast internet?
I've got a connection, but the amount of friends I have online seems peculiar given the time of day.
"Minute 11: I still don't have steam, I worry that I may not be able to make it much longer..." But in all seriousness: I switched my server 'round the US a couple times (Dallas, Chicago, Columbus, etc.) still no dice.
My steam is down as well. [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline] It's back though.

I've been reading Hegel for the past hour to try and understand dialetics. It's fucking impossible. I can't see why people think Hegel was so great if barely anybody can understand this bastard.
graphic tees look terrible most of the time
I have a few band tees but yeah, 99% of shirts with stuff on them look horrible I just want basic looking shirts like you can pick up at any big-box store but made to actual standards so they hold their shape and fit properly

Marx joined the group of philosophers called the Young Hegelians, studied them, and then dedicated the rest of his life to writing books aimed at trolling the shit out of them, in the process creating an entire -ism.
A true philosopher
GAY_WEED_DAD_69 - oh peaches GAY_WEED_DAD_69 - men love porn GAY_WEED_DAD_69 - there are men who love men GAY_WEED_DAD_69 - and therefore GAY_WEED_DAD_69 - there is still porn
'Specially if it has a name like the "Master-Slave Dialectic" like, what the fuck am I looking at here
Hegel is basically where the Germans went "lol let's talk about bullshit instead of doing work". Fast forward many years, and you have analytical philosophy (which involves actually doing work and being intelligent), and everything else (like continental philosophy), where you make up shit. If you want to practice continental philosophy, buy a book by Nietzsche and read the quotes on the back, and you should also learn two or three impressive-sounding words to give the illusion of an extensive vocabulary and work them into all of your sentences. The more terms you can invent on the fly to represent abstract concepts the better. But stay away from analytical philosophy, you actually have to substantiate your claims. [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline] Also Nietzsche created far too many unreadable books and made most people think he was insane before actually becoming insane. He spent his last decade in bed shitting himself and spewing shit out of the other hole.

Whats the guy like? Whats his personality like? Does he seem like he likes collectable type of things? Does he appreciate practical things more? Do you know of something he has been eyeing for a while but hasn't gotten? Is there something he really loves and wouldn't mind having more of that/related? Is someone you know he likes in town (like a band) and you can get tickets for him? etc Worse comes to worse, gift card with his favorite quick-eats place plus some home made X dish he really likes (cookies, baked goods, etc?) is pretty fool proof.
what kind of pet~
Hah Yeah. :v:

I can't see him collecting anything no, but I do see him wanting something practical ([sp]he keeps mentioning a toy that he saw on a website, and I'm considering getting him that, though that isn't maybe the best gift I could get I think[/sp]). And as for bands, I don't think so.
Hah Yeah. :v:
"What kind of pet do you want?" "Yes"
"What kind of pet do you want?" "Yes"
Where can I get a "Yes" ?

I partially agree with you on a part but you definitely could have phrased this much less like an asshole. [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline]
I am so tired.
