It really is amazing how people live in such a bubble. I've joined anime/brony boards, it's pretty depressing how some of these people are. Especially on brony boards when they talk about the show ending some day, they always say things like "Some people will move on, but we will always be bronies for life and we will always have each other!"

I don't want to sound like a dick, but I'd love to see how these people react when the show ends or when they start hitting those older ages where people start calling the police on them for looking like pedophiles.
Whenever there's something like these conventions that requires people to travel somewhere and take up most of their day on something that's just a T.V show, or a movie series, book series, whatever, alot of the people there are going to be the ones that are too invested and socially awkward.
I know a group of people into Anime at my College as an association, the awkwardness is thankfully extremely low due to the fact that's not all we talk about in there.
Few bronies too, but they aren't obnoxious about it unless someone brings it up.
The sole thing that annoys me with Bronies is the fact they have to spread their shit literally everywhere. It feels more like a cult than actually a passion or an interest. I mean, even furries don't tend to go as far as Pony people go. (Though Furry porn still goes miles further than Pony stuff)
Though I don't know if a Furry convention would be more awkward than a Pony one.
I'd say they'd both be pretty weird in their own ways. Though people dressing up in ponies freaks me the fucking most.
Somehow, I managed to get through this. I can't say I'm not disgusted but I still don't generalize most [I](most[/I] being the key word here) of the MLP fandom with people like this. I make a distinction between those who enjoy the show, and...erm...people like this.
But holy shit on a stick this was...pitiful? Contemptible? Abject? Some other synonym for miserable? Eh.

Now he writes fanfiction, only listens to weird brony music (like dubstep by DJ Pony, apparently thats a real thing) and only talks about ponies and how awesome they are
