Thank you for your constructive and in-depth analysis. The collective intellect of this community would be lesser if not for your wonderful post.
I clicked your steam profile link, not sure what I was expecting... Anyway. From what I've seen, you guys don't get it as bad as furries did. I remember on the Something Awful forums where they opened a Furry subforum so all the furries could have somewhere to chat, and then a few weeks later permabanned everyone who had posted in there :v:
Really, where would we be without you?
a terrible place. I'd rather have him than you
It's great to know another person is willing to make a meaningful contribution. Oh, here is the first wave of ratings. Let the circlejerk begin.
Okay seriously, stop it.
Oh man we triggered his persecution complex I mean who saw THAT coming
I couldn't even watch the beginning... That fat neckbearded greasy dude singing that song ughhhh
I couldn't even watch the beginning... That fat neckbearded greasy dude singing that song ughhhh
Good call, it only gets worse from there
I for one would like to vote this for Comedy of the year 2012 I know we are only half way through the year but I think we have something here.
CheeseMan, what have I got to lose? What difference does it make? Every thread like this goes down the same path, a veracious circlejerk. The only difference is that I've focused their attention to me, rather than innocent people who've done nothing wrong. There's no real difference, but it wouldn't feel as good if I didn't do it. Their self bullshit and petty insults can go to me instead. They're here because they want to pick at bronies because they know that they wont get crap for their bullshit, I can be that brony.
What are you even doing. How can you be a dummy for brony insults if you are one yourself?

Rather than being some kind of martyr-mare (sacrificial pony?) you've been snidely sniping at posts from the shadows for little to no reason. This thread has been very calm, probably the largest pieces of antagonisation have come from you. I got no side in this argument, I dislike the concept of being in a community dedicated to only watching My Little Pony just in the way I think hardcore Homestuck fans are asinine, but I can distance that when reading peoples' posts. Your posts are fucking irritating from a subjective point of view, rather than a "omg u brony" point of view. Some of the anti brony peeps here are haranguing other people in this thread a lot and they're equally annoying (a la Cone and stuff). Take a look at your posts and try to at least consider the mind boggling hypocrisy of smugly saying "another meaningful contribution ;)" when your post has nothing in it except that, meaning the only reason you made that post was to shoot out another witty retort and keep the argument train chugging. Bottom line is, it takes two to tango, and you've stumbled into threadshitting territory about two left feet ago. Everyone in this thread give it a rest and talk about how the guy with the neckbeard is funny or whatever.

Your mastery over the English language had me stunned into silence. In other words, what a fucking brilliant reply.

You're being ridiculed for your childish posts in this thread, not the fact that you're a brony. If you want to defend bronies, please do so with rational arguments rather than offering yourself as the one to be nailed on the cross.
Also, that "hatred" guy (Max I think?) is seriously messed up. I never knew people could be so socially retarded. Wasting life talking about nonsensical bullshit like fairy ponies? I'm happy enough going out to cafes with my friends and just talking about life, how the day went, any interesting news that has happened lately. Wouldn't they get so much more enjoyment out of improving their social skills and going to things like BBQ's and parties?
Anti-Brony are hipocritic and Bronies are mind-barricaded escapists. Let's be friends again, people.
Anti-Brony are hipocritic and Bronies are mind-barricaded escapists. Let's be friends again, people.
The only hypocritical argument anti-bronies use is the whole shoving it down throats thing.
The only hypocritical argument anti-bronies use is the whole shoving it down throats thing.
I've heard Brony neutral people use that argument. I can understand that people don't want to constantly see references to mlp.
There's a balance to be struck between showing support for something you like and being an annoying fuckstick about it IMO you hit fuckstick territory when you start using words like "everypony" and bother people who obviously don't care.
Grown men acting like prepubescent girls :wtc:
When I first heard about bronies about a year ago I just assumed it was trolls, but now a little bit of me died today.
Am I the only person who just doesn't care about bronies and doesn't care what they do? Some people have hate or pity on them but I just strictly don't care, let them do what they want.
It's kind of hard to ignore bronies when they just have to spam their shit everywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if I woke up one night because of some guy knocking on my window, waving a huge MLP poster in front of my face. But it's starting to fade out. I sometimes just see Pony avatars here on FP and maybe some comments on Youtube about MLP, nothing more. Thank god for that.
Y'know what? You people are a bunch of raging fucking hypocrites, and I'm sick of your shit. It AMAZES me, just how apparently "progressive" and "liberal" you people are when the news section lights up with injustices, but the moment you come across anime, furries or bronies, you become some of the most intolerant fucks I have ever had the displeasure to discourse with. You don't understand how anyone in the world could still be anti-gay, and yet you CONSISTENTLY and in ONE VOICE rail against things you don't like or understand, with an attitude like you're trying to bully the geeky kid into committing suicide. You call people "autistic", which is one of the most disgustingly non-committal insults I've ever seen, especially since I actually HAVE a brother with autism, and I can tell you with firsthand experience that you don't know SHIT about it. Face up to it: you're intolerant. The bronies don't "shove it down your throat." You blame them just for being visible to you. Because you're aware of their presence, they're "shoving it down your throat." And that's bullshit. It's the same shit where people look at certain fetishes and judge people by them. You don't choose what you like, you just like it. It's THAT simple. You know what part of the MLP fandom tells me for certain that you guys are a bunch of stereotyping asshats? The fan content. I have never seen anything inspire as much creative writing, drawing and animation as the MLP fandom. The number of talented people that involve themselves pretty much outright debunks assertions that bronies are useless manchildren or whatever other bullshit. I've read PROFOUND pieces of writing, seen artwork that blew my mind, heard music mixes made in mere hours that were of absurd quality. What this tells me is that the show is OBVIOUSLY worth a lot in terms of quality, because people who can do art, animation and music flock to this shit. Which isn't to say it takes a trained-eye to realize the series is well-written, well-acted, has great music and superb motherfucking animation and visual aesthetic. At my college there's a game-lab, and a group of people and teachers that have formed a close circle of nerds who can do awesome things in Autodesk Maya and Photoshop. Most of them are total geeks in the most awesome sense, most of them are atheists, and —oh yes— most of them are BRONIES... And these people don't say "everypony" to each other, they don't talk about the show to the detriment of everything else. They're balanced individuals for whom MLP is just one more awesome thing to watch and reference in the nerdosphere. Point is, if you just decide you're going to hate something, it doesn't take any effort to try and justify hating it. All you have to do is find the louder and more obnoxious sectors that the fandom will INEVITABLY have, point to it and say, "see, these people are just retarded! Let's say that we pity them now, so we can still hate them yet APPEAR to be upholding some sort of moral highground."
And with that brilliantly constructed post you just became one of my favorite people on Facepunch

I myself have nothing against the show or it's fans, as long as they are nice people.
I have a fair share of other bronies on steam. Sometimes they will do that /me command and do something about giving me a book. I usually kindly tell the person that I am not that hard core into the show and that I dont' roleplay about the show, etc. They usually stop, apologize and go on about their day. As long as you stay away from their forums you should be fine.

The closest thing I've found to ideal is /mlp/, but being 4chan they're usually a bunch of cynical assholes.
Y'know what?
so there is good and bad people in a fandom? Horeally? I would have never guessed. Thank you for spending so much time into a well formed novel.
Why aren't there a heavy metal pony

Take what you read with a pinch of salt.
