Another theory right up. I remembered writing a poem about memory. One part was that if you don't remember(e.g. memory blank), it means you were never there. The thought that came up the phrase meant your not there mentally. Don't know if schizophrenic describes it. What I'm trying to bring up is that with better memory you become more mentally present, and you have a chance to become lucid just by having good memory. When I think about, I got lucids because I had good recall and recently, my last 2 was just a case of fish oil overdose. Any thoughts?

It's a lot more intense
I became lucid last night, but i did a reality check and i was not able to breath through my nose or shoving my tongue through my teeth
All my dreams start out okay, but then turn insanely creepy really fast
Ha, yeah. I saw you a little earlier in the thread and wondered whether I should say hi. Also, I'm beginning to lose patience with myself. I've been sleeping longer than I have in a long time, but the moment I wake up, my dream recall dies. I KNOW I've had dreams, and long ones, I'm aware of that much, but just can't get more than the vaguest of feelings back about it. This morning I'd just woken up and basically transitioned straight from dream to relatively aware, so immediately dumped myself back into the dream as a memory to try and remember it. Only, ten seconds in, my dad bursts in to make sure I'm awake and I lose it all except the very last "scene". Thanks, dad.
Write down a dream you remember from ages ago, that might help. I've been trying it, anyway. Also try writing down a mantra 10 times over on a paper or notepad. No copying and pasting, you won't burn it in to your brain.
It's like your brain is trying to make up a movie or something. Have you ever wanted to make a movie?
Well Im thinking about looking into working with CGI animation, or just CG animation in general. So maybe. I had a short dream this time around, just that same girl from previously, except I was in a large forest with tons of snow. She was having fun with the snow, intill strangely she fell off a cliff. I ran over the cliff to look, I didnt see her. Instinctively I turned around only to be eye-to-eye with a bloodied-up version of her before the dream ended. What the christ man. :smith:
Ugh. Had the creepiest dream in a long time last night. Started off with some dark, twisted version of my downstairs and I'd smashed a flash accessory thing from my dad's camera. It just felt like a generally horrible atmosphere. I then looked in my room and it was also not-right. Then I looked in the bathroom, and there were dead people in my bath, and I read over newspaper articles documenting their disappearances. What's freaked me is that I can't really call it a nightmare because of the degree of complete disregard for my situation in the dream. It was more sort of "Yeah, that's sort of weird. Let's move on..." On the bright side, looks like my dream recall has come crawling back.
This morning I woke up, instantly remembering a cool awesome dream. Then I'm like "oh cool its christmas", and forgot the dream. I really didnt mind, because christmas was great.

Since you're the advice guy, I need a easy way to MILD or at least a new of meditating, because every time I try, my mind drifts away.

I know this girl on steam, we talk a lot, and I've talked quite a few things through with her instead of my family, as she listens and all that. I recently had a dream where she was my girlfriend, and as I've seen a picture of her and she talks on the mic at times, I was able to see and hear her as she is in real life. I've also talked to her through texting and such in real life, to go into further detail as to how much we're friends. I must admit, it was a nice dream, Am I in trouble for having that dream? It would be a pretty strange way of coming to terms with how deprived I actually am :ohdear:
Ok The OP has got me curious has anyone here experienced their worst nightmare i.e asked their subconsious what their worst fear is? What the hell has happened that is SO scary?
TO THE DREAM JOURNAL, AWAAAAAY!
How can you even read your own hand writing.
I dont. Writing it helps me remember.
I had my first lucid dream today, I woke up in the middle of the night to pee, went to bed and had some dream about me and some others fighting a monster with guns and shit (too much borderlands). For some reason I suddenly said; hope this dream never ends (It did seem like forever) and then I realized I was dreaming and I did the teeth thing and felt like my tongue went through my teeth. Anyway I just forgot about everything I was doing before in the dream and started walking around, tried flying but I couldn't do it after a while of walking (dunno why) I tried stretching myself towards the sky and it suddenly worked, the clouds were all powder like and then I woke up to my dad telling me to wake up (could have been the excitement though). The weird thing was that I watched Inception the day before I went to sleep XD, and no I wasn't trying to lucid dream, last time I even thought of it was months ago.
Someone should write a tutorial on how to do things in a lucid dream.
I remember one dream when i was in kindergarten, where som bitchass bumped into me, in some kind of wierd ass car, then i started crying and ran over to the grownups. Then I woke up :)
I just had a dream where I was with a bunch of players in Garry's mod, and the admins left for vacation, and we heard reports that an ass load of minge-bags were going to try to take over the server, so we built a fortress, with turrets and stuff. But our position was overrun so we had to evac the server and destroy it with a Lua nuke, which crashed the server, but we all got out in time. The map we were in was gm_CubeLand_day.

what exactly do you mean by false lucid [editline]26th December 2010[/editline] bought an ipod app that records whatever you say in your sleep going to use it to recall based off of what I say, jog-memory-wise [editline]26th December 2010[/editline] according to dreamviews apple juice increases vividness of dreams sounds like the average shit they come up with but it's worth a try i guess
Merry Christmas everyone! :D Black Ops, a new iPhone 4, and a super deluxe version of Scrabble. See you all in a week. Hopefully Blops will still let me sleep.
So I went lucid last night. I realized this because my old school had a giant water slide for no reason. It was weird though. A voice in my dream said," You're lucid." So I decided to go down the slide and the water felt so real. I all of a sudden run into a target store to buy an icee and socks. I had to wait in line. I lost my lucidness. Help? I know it sounds weird, but how do I keep my lucidity [editline]26th December 2010[/editline]
I keep getting false lucids dammit.
