for some reason i dreamt of vladimir putin as an astronaut
Dream: Beginning of an era
I got out of bed. My hands accidentally went through each other again. I was lucid. I wasn't as shocked or excited as I thought I would be, but I felt both of those feelings anyway. I got up. My house was dark, but my room was exactly the same as normal. I think there was a purple, space-like void outside. I walked downstairs, then back upstairs. I had so many ideas in my head. I settled with the lucid crossroads (http://www.lucidcrossroads.co.uk/), because I figured it would be the easiest way to get to a clear, daytime environment. I reached in my pocket like the website says, but I didn't pull out a badge like I thought I would. I pulled out thin air. Disappointed, I walked to my room, saying to myself "there will be a girl behind the door. There will be a girl behind the door." That didn't work either. I sat back down on my bed trying to think of what to do next, but I woke up out of a variety of emotions.
And that's how my first lucid dream was. As soon as I woke up, I hit my iPod's music button and the credits theme from misfits came on. That coincidence made me feel like I was in a movie. I went back to dicking around with my iPod and then fell asleep until 2:53pm. Yeah, I was catching up on christmas and boxing day. I didn't sleep much on those days.
You forgot to stabilize the dream, which you can do by rubbing your hands or spinning. Everybody makes this mistake. As for summoning, what you did is probably a latent summoning. If the dream had continued, she might have been somewhere. It's easier to imagine something to summon it.
I hope to have more, vivid lucid dreams. I hope I obtain more power and time, with every dream I have.
Supplements in the past day:
1x Hot Chocolate
1x Glass of apple juice
1x Chicken curry
1x Burger + Bun
0.5x Fishcake (it tasted bad)
Fishcake and chocolate is a yes. Fish for some reason has vitamin B I think, which is good for dream recall, or as I would say it, being more mentally present. Chocolate is good to take just before sleeping, because all the energy goes into your head in sleep.
Additional Notes (FP only):
- Lightswitches only made things dim
- Room layouts were different
- Windows seemed to shift from purple space to what was actually outside

It looks better on dreamviews. Colored and all that.
[editline]27th December 2010[/editline]
It still felt like I was spectating a dream though. I could control myself..but it didn't feel proper.
[editline]27th December 2010[/editline]
How would I go about making the dream clearer, more realistic?
How do I improve my control over the dream?
How do I keep the dream going for more than 5 minutes?
Light switches are funky, trying taking your sunglasses(you "could" be wearing one), it'll turn brighter. As for your question, realistic is not an option, for clearer, take off your "sunglasses". Second, I can't answer. Third, rub your hands.
geog, there's a lot of advice on page 1, beats what dreamview has.

proof that dreamviews are 90% dumbasses

The issue of Science Illustrated I just got had an article about lucid dreaming, or more precisely, how video gamers are more capable of lucid dreaming and controlling them.
One of the subjects in the study combined his war experiences into a dream similar to Arma II.

I can officially say that free-running, like in assassins creed, in a dream is awesome.
Assassins creed uses parkour
I hate it when people screw up that difference
What is the difference then?
I had a dream where I needed to run through a few obstacles in under 2 minutes, through this enlarged and disjointed version of my college reception area.
I didn't do it twice, so both times I just drowned myself in the water to respawn and reappear at the top of the course.
After 2 more times, I suddenly got my senses back and couldn't die
It's horrible to try and go through with killing yourself when you can feel it :ohdear:
I hate it when that happens, when something in your dream suddenly breaks and it ruins the rest of the dream :argh:
I don't get it.
Most of dreamviews consists of twelve year olds that think they're awesome and idiots that don't know what they're doing.

Couldn't hit agree any harder.

I hate the ones who believe in shared dreaming the most.
What is the difference then?
free running is showing off and looking like a modern-day ponce
parkour is getting from a-b by climbing obstacles, like you're describing
Of course we gamers have better control. We have access to the console and a grasp of unrealistic things, allowing more things to be available to our arsenal of idiotic fun and adventure.
That being said, there is a downside to being a gamer too. most of my lucids have come about by logic. However, logic is hard to grasp when your a gamer. I see a boeing 747 barreling down a city street and I think "Oh, cool game. I wanna play."

Yeah, this is what I tend to think.
I killed myself in a dream.
I don't recommend it.
I wouldn't mind dying like you do in that one cod mission with the nuke. In a dream of course.
i shot myself in the face

try choking to death whilst trying to suck yourself off whilst your frog dangles a golden edible bra over your tonsils
uhhhhhhh
also geogzm do you care about mensa? I've never really heard of them doing anything at all.

you are an idiot
mensa is an international organization which is essentially a registry of people with a high intelligence quota
I call dreamviews a mensa certified website sarcastically to imply that they're dumbasses
you're also "mensa certified" by my terms

I know what mensa is and I don't browse the site so I wouldn't know if any of them claim to be mensa or what you're talking about

you're the one being a vague dumbass
what have I said what is remotely vague and why are you so emotional over something that isn't a big deal?
really even though I didn't get the joke why is it such a big problem that it's got to be strewn out? Why not just explain the joke, say "har har you didn't get it" and move on?
You don't have to be so angsty over nothing
OBJECTION!
doggyalt, geogzm. It was your subconsciouses that were remotely :downs:

Don't forget the downside where you're playing a game in the dream, so anything that looks wrong is probably a glitch or new stuff.

Since zin is clearly not working on new OP and jake disappeared, mysteriously :ninja:
Who writes the new OP?
Are we telling stories of how we've killed ourselves in dreams
[editline]29th December 2010[/editline]
I'm not sure where else to go with the OP, suggestions anyone
Are we telling stories of how we've killed ourselves in dreams
yeah and on that note I'm thinking of posting it seeing as I just got bothered to write it.
Uhhh... Idk what to write more about for the OP. Just curious, why don't you post anymore? I haven't read all of v1 so I don't really know if anything happened.
