Now I'm curious. How'd you find out about this thread?
Well, I have a friend that's been on FP for a few years and he'd told me about it in the past. At the same time I heard about this, my interest had peaked in Lucid Dreaming again. I'm not sure exactly how I found this thread - whether it was a google search on lucids that lead me here, or whether it was an investigation of FP where I stumbled across my interest. Either way, I think I struck lucky there.
I do and last time when I looked at my watch in a dream the RC worked and I started saying I'm lucid and doing stuff but never became lucid. Happens all the time, even my sub will come up to me and say I'm dreaming and tell me to do an RC and I don't become fully lucid. I dream about lucid dreaming. I've been trying for like 6 months whilst reading this awesome LD book loads.
Yeah, like other people have said, maybe lay off it a bit? Obviously you want to have a lucid so badly that your dreams are trying to fulfil it for you, without actually letting you in. I'd say perhaps try a little less to gain lucidity, and also try some MILD or maintain some conscious point about how even if you are apparently lucid in dreams, it might be fake. This should increase your subconscious awareness of fake lucidity. Also, I apologise if I'm talking complete crap. I'm rather drunk and trying way too hard to type straight. Happy New Year' Eve and things :)
Yeah, like other people have said

Also, I apologise if I'm talking complete crap. I'm rather drunk and trying way too hard to type straight.
No worries, it feels nice to be more than a single person. Happy new years, and for those in america, T minus 20 minutes till new year.
According to my dream journal, I haven't remembered a dream since, well, last year. 12/12/10 to be more exact. I've only had 2-3 lucids in my almost year of trying, and even then it was just exploring the idea of me actually being lucid, not actual screwing around. Not only that, but they didn't last very long. I don't think my sub is very happy with me, for some reason.
Fuck sleeping, I'm not even tired.
Had an awesome dream but I only remember so much of it. It was so real and vivid, not lucid though. I was getting my dick sucked by a girl with black hair but she kept stopping and I think I pulled a camera out by accident and this where the dream gets bad because then she said "You just want to record me" and walked off nearly jizzed in my pants just remembering it though it was better than life apart from the ending I thought it was an actual memory of mine until I pulled an inception and thought "Wait a minute, who was she? How did I get th..aww, fuck"
Had a dream that I raped a girl I know.
Had a dream that I raped a girl I know.
ew post the journal :q:
I have now few times in a row, seen a dream i dont like, and i somehow know its a dream, i just open my eyes and close them again, then i start seeing other dreams. but i dont somehow realize that i should go lucid, you know what i mean? my brain doesnt work while im sleeping. or just woke up. [editline]2nd January 2011[/editline]
Especially when they are better than your life :sigh:
your not alone dude. sometimes i wake up, just to wait til i can go sleep again.
The part that scares me most is waking up not to sound corny or anything. It's horrible opening your eyes from something that you just saw and everything's gone.
I've had about 4 successful lucid's in 2010. They were fucking awesome when they lasted.
I've had about 4 successful lucid's in 2010. They were fucking awesome when they lasted.
I've only had one. It was boring because even though it was lucid, I couldn't do magic and shit.
Is it me or is WILD extremely easy? Every time I wake up in Sleep Paralysis I just go back to sleep and wait, I don't even have to count or do any of that focus stuff. Eventually I start vibrating and hear a ringing in my ears. After about 10 seconds I do a reality check with my tongue and the next dream I'm in is very clear and I'm lucid. Every single time I manage to get into SP. Am I lucky or does this happen to other people?
I find wild hard. My mind is far to active when it try it. I think about random stuff and don't allow it to take it's own course. Oh and I'm an impatient prick :v:

Even from scanning the thread, it's pretty clear that for most people WILD is extremely hard (I've had no luck with it either, though the idea of it is rather daunting to me anyway). So lucky you! Do you do a lot with your huge amount of lucid-time?
you suffer from geogzm syndrome :v: I have this exact problem too
Ya what?
Whenever I wake up in SP I just think to myself "Oh, I might as well do a WILD." I don't even have to try, I just go back to sleep and start seeing images then vibrating. Its easy to do a reality check after that and boom I'm in a lucid dream. I surprisingly don't get a lot done. I find it very hard to make things appear that I don't see everyday. In other words, I can usually only conjure up good friends and things I see every day.
Fair enough. At least you have a lot of chances to keep trying to do things with lucids...
Fuck sleeping, I'm not even tired.
For the record, I do not know this guy. Been having some really weird dreams lately, like gods of forests and other shit are beckoning me to save their kingdom or something. All I know is one of them has a deer skull as a head.
I find it relatively easy to induce lucid dreaming most of the time. I don't know what I do, either, it's just easy.
It's kinda funny how after I become lucid after living out a dream for a while I change completely. Last night was interesting to say the least. Kinda fuzzy on some of the details, but I'll try my best to remember. (This is most of the way through the dream) I was a cop stationed at a mall. There were a bunch of people fighting over a mall phone, so I intervened and handed the phone to each of them one at a time. After that I took my break and chatted to some guy. We became good friends. After work, we both took a train, but then he started coughing up blood. I picked him up, took him out of the train at a stop which was conveniently in front of a hospital. I recite the directions to get to the entrance. (I have no idea why, it was a set of ramps. Anyways, this is important.) I say "Left, Right, I'm in a dream, Right , Left, Left, Right.". After going over the directions again, I realize I'm dreaming. I'm still carrying my dream friend, and even though I know he's not real, I was courteous enough to take him to the ER rather than just dump him on the floor to go after my goal. Which was to try and talk to my subconscious. I figure the best way to go about it was to go up to everyone I meet and say "I want to talk to my subconscious." since I am the master of subtlety. The first two people (one of them looked like Hank Hill's dad) ignored me, the third (a rather lovely looking lady) responded, and we went into an apartment. After turning on the lights, I asked her a series of questions (I forget what the answers to them were, or even what I asked. I know at least that I didn't ask what my worst fears were). After that, she asked me what I wanted to do. I shrugged and asked her what SHE wanted to do. She got rather irritated at me when I asked that, so I quickly suggest that we just walk around the city. We walked around the city (Gee, what a shock.). I eventually got bored of that, so I woke myself up by opening my eyes. The only thing I regret about that was that I didn't ask for her name.
I've had about 4 successful lucid's in 2010. They were fucking awesome when they lasted.
7 here, I hope I get more this year. Shame my holidays are going to end very soon. Might as well try WILD tomorrow morning.
Got a lucid last night, but I couldn't do what I had planned. My sub sent L4D zombies after me, and I was like "well crap", but then I decided to keep trying, by becoming an aimbot. It worked as far as fending off the zombies, but I still didn't end up doing what I wanted to. I thought it was a pretty cool way to react, though. In any case, it's all cool. Well, and there was other stuff, and thankfully nothing about the fact that I have to go back to school tomorrow.
Somehow a few days ago I made myself dream about my dream life a whole damn day. Then the next day I dreamt about being killed by a volcano over and over and the reason for it was because I had fallen asleep on the couch and my little brother (toddler) took a big shit in his diaper and my sleeping mind incorporated the stink as that of a volcano.
Anyone ever tried polyphasic sleep?
Also my dream was weird as, I dreamt I died and that I became a rebellion spirit who went and haunted someone in my own bedroom, who just shot at me. Then I went into this sort of 'hub' for dead people (spirits) where some alive guy ran in, throw some shoes on top of a telephone pole and climbed up, trying to get them. He fell down and broke his neck, dieing and becoming a spirit in the meanwhile. So at this point I was confused, as someone kept announcing that the 'East Coast Workshop' would be getting all the prizes (wtf?). So I walked outside to see snow! I then decided, out of all reasons, to build a computer minecraft style, using snow as redstone. A girl offered to help but I think she just got in the way and didn't do anything...
Does this mean anything?
Anyone ever tried polyphasic sleep? Does this mean anything?
I'm going to make guesses 'cause the dream hurts my head. 1) You fear death. You probably think about it once in a while, asking yourself where will you go after death. [sp]2) You watch ghost shows in hope of an afterlife. 3) East Coast Workshop might have been place you've heard of or a name similar to another place you know. Dreams sometimes get really nonsensical, so there's not much explanation to it. 4) Judging by the exclamation mark next to the word "snow", you envy for snow.[/sp] 5) The minecraft part usually means you like minecraft, a lot. 6) The girl... If I had to: You want someone you can spend time with in a proper relationship. (2, 3, and 4 have been blacked out because it was stupid and wrong) Rate me boxes if they're all wrong. As for polyphasic sleep, we know it here as WILD. Some of us have done it before. You can read about on page 1, post #2.

I can tell which "first dream" logs are fake. They're the ones where people can do what experienced dreamers do. A real first dream 1: I realized I was lucid. It wasn't that clear. I couldn't do anything. I was annoyed. A real first dream 2: I realized I was lucid. Some weird shit was going on. I woke up from excitement/emotions A fake first dream 1: "HI GUYZ LOLOLo I MAEK STUF SOON AS I WAS LUCID LIKE A STRIPP CLUB ADN HAD sooooOOoo MUcH SEXXX LOOOOOL!1111 DEn I KILD HITLer AND SMOKED A BLUNT WITH GENERIC CELEBRITY" A fake first dream 2: "OMGOT I JSUT HAP MY FIRSD DREAM HOPY SHIT IT WAS SO COOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL I LIKE HAD A GUN AND I was TOATALLY WATCHMEN BAMAN PiDERMAN LOL"

Here it is
I was with Lenny and Carl (from the simpsons) at a night outing in the countryside. I couldn't recall much about it. Then Lenny wanted me to help loosen his belt (rate me rainbows). Before I replied, I felt a strange feeling on my left arm, a feeling from reality. It was sort of tingly. "No Lenny, because this is a dream" I replied, gaining lucidity. I started to rub my hands. "I want to stay in this dream". This time, I managed to stay in the dream. I then decided to fly over to a restaurant (done unintentionally). In the restaurant, I saw my bro and gave him a pizza (pizza was unintentional as well). I then start to fly around the restaurant and said "Where are you subconscious" about four times (rate me boxes as well). All the people stared in the restaurant stared at me as I did it. Then my bro suggested that I give a burger to a patient in a hospital nearby. I decided to play along and said yes, so I took the burger off him and a flew out of the restaurant. I got to the hospital, it was nearby, so it wasn't hard to find. It was hardly painted on the outside. I levitated to one of the windows. I loled when the patient I was going to give the burger to was a fat man who was already eating a cheese burger. Then I remembered there were other things I wanted to do in a lucid dream, so I decided to try teleport to a place called Twilight town (it's a quiet little town, and its skies are alway orange-ish red, from kingdom hearts 2), but before I could, all went black. The feeling on my arm started to overwhelm my dream. I tried to rub my hands. I couldn't do anything, so I gave in to the tingly feeling and woke up.
Sounds quite similar to the fakes. Anyways, sounds like talent.
