I find the best recall or vividness of a dream is when you fall back to sleep after waking up in the morning, nearly all the time i remember them.
sup guys
oh hello
oh god thread is getting back on track
I am happy now.
The only recent lucid dreams I had were:
1) Rode a naked women through these tiled pool halls, jumped off and ran from a group of other women chasing me (I guess I wasn't allowed in there), 30 second chase scene, slid through a gymnasium full of yoga people and out the back door to a closed area. It was bright and when I said "Now what?" My Dream changed.
1a) I appeared in a beautiful courtyard where I pretty much fucked around for a bit. Trying to set a tree on fire and then talking to a slave in a fence.
2) I woke up in a dark castle. "Oh hey I'm dreaming." Then a dog jumped at my face and it ended.
Had a dream I was in a videogame store on top of a mountain. It was like a ma and pa's video game store, run by a woman of asian descent. They had a bunch of £10 games on the floor for xbox and xbox 360, and I picked out ea skate, heavy rain (360 version. Damn you dreams, teasing me like this.) and another game (I'm not sure what it was) and then realized I left my money at home in the dream, so I walked out and simply fucking jumped and slid down the mountain, landed halfway down on a road with a lot of 4x4s going down through a dark tunnel. It changed from night to day and I was basically playing frogger with myself to get through the tunnel, then slided down the rest of the mountain and woke up.
[editline]20th January 2011[/editline]
It was non lucid too. Some of the other games on the floor were:
"Halo: CE"
"Halo Wars"
"Halo 2142"
Something that looked very Jak and Daxtery
"Black Ops (without the cod part)"
Trying to restart my dream recall.
Im starting to remember fragments again.
One time I dreamt I was falling.
I wake up, I'm shaking in the bed like I just landed there.
It's called a hypnic jerk. It's a good sign because it normally happens when you're on the verge of REM if memory serves me right.
[editline]20th January 2011[/editline]
Because your ears create a falling sensation or something or other.

Yeah, I was kind of right. If you close your eyes after feeling that and concentrate then you'll be able to hit the first stages of WILD around 10 minutes later if you're trying to go lucid.
Had a cool dream that's started involving the book I'm writing. If only it hadn't have involved being on a spaceship/I had gone lucid, I could have gathered some good stuff for inspiration. Still, running around with an energy gun capable of blowing holes in spaceship hulls being chased by black-uniformed Enforcers is a pretty awesome way to spend dreamtime.
Help me,
I'm trying lucid dreaming, but I can't seem to understand how you guys could get so conscious in your own dreams.
I experience my dreams, if I remember them, as a very blurry experience.
When I wake up I forget it completely if I don't recall it forcefully.
Also I don't see a way in getting the habbit of reality checks. What should I do?
I thought of making a device that makes a led flash in my eye @4am or later,
would that help?

I have a similar difficulty.
I had a really strange dream last night.
Last night I dreamed I was on my laptop, then suddenly I awoke at 7:40am and found out that my laptop was still sitting there but switched on and all.
I have a similar difficulty.
Hmm, Well I heard about these custom lucid dreaming masks.
Some smart guys made them for like 30$ or so.
It envolved sounds & leds. If you would hear & see them in your dream,
you would suddenly realise, "i'm dreaming". As long as the light is on you are
keen to stay in, since it's a constant feedback.
I thought of just using a sleeping mask with a blue led under it.
The led is wired to the alarm function of any clock. @4AM.
Dunno if that would work, gotta find an old working alarm clock first.

I would personally try and set it to go off at certain times in the night (when I believe REM is) so that I can tell if I'm in a dream or if I've just woken up in bed.

Sounds interesting.

I have something similar to that falling thing, except it always before I am asleep. I just imaging myself walking, in my thoughts I fall over then my real body jerks out of bed and I bolt upright and shake, its pretty weird but happens regularly.

Never had it in my life.
Did have these weird moments:
NREM sleep:
basicly didn't dream. Just closed my eyes & WOOSh, opened them again & it was morning!
A vision of some kind:
I was still young, reading comics in my bed.
The light was still on & I was waiting for my elder brother to come home.
So the light in the hall was still on intentionaly to keep me awake.
Something made me feel weird I looked down my sheets & WOOF a wolve jumped me!
Very unclear I thought I had grip on the situation but I was half-dreaming.
Also had fragments of that comics flashing vividly through my mind.
But wether that was before or after the wolve, escapes me.
Meeting with the GMAN:
2 years back when I was on the edge of my last aware dreams,
I was inside the citadel, there was a bright room with lot's of portalballs.
Suddenly I noticed a small dark doorway in the corner, I felt as though pickups
were to be found there. Went inside... But it made me remind of a trap
in hl ep2. Fear took over as I ventured deeper into the dark hallway.
I suddenly saw sparks, I expected zombies to pop up ahead but no...
It was the gman, he was mutated badly, I remember him saying:
"mutation is the base of all lifeforms"...
The scene scared me so hard & deep... It woke me up in sweat.
For hours I was still in some sort of shock because of the image.
Words can't describe it! It was a subjection to a huge amount of shock+fear.
That was one of the last dreams I can remember as vivid as that.
After that I started forgetting dreams. Today I feel as if I'm not dreaming at all.
But I just can't remember them, doesn't matter how hard I try...
Had a really weird dream about me and my dad standing next to a bunch of shelves filled with pork, each one different and we were discussing which one was better, for some reason I was obsessed with one that had grinded pepper on top...:byodood:
Lol somebody was probably hungry in the middle of the night.
Allright i'm gonna try my best to recall a my dream tomorrow, GOOD NIGHT!
Warm milk and cinnamon! It only makes my dream worse! It doesn't even improve my recall :byodood:
Back to fish oil for me.
@Depth Improving dream recall can make you more conscious in your dreams.
We should have a small part here for dreams including zombies.
Once I had one with a quite funny part when me and some other guy were looting stuff in an abandoned sub urban area, we wen't inside of a house and we checked the place first for zombies and then we started looking for loot.
Then my companion whacked a metallic door of somekind to scare me and I got startled and then yelled at him: You stupid asshole!
Would one of those light-blocking sleep masks aid wild at all
Would one of those light-blocking sleep masks aid wild at all
I don't think they induce WILD any better.
But if you have problems with light in your dormroom I'd say try one.
I might do it as well!

Do they actually help you fall asleep/ stay asleep?
Speaking of which, I might try hooking my strobe light up to a timer and have it spam my eyes with bright lights about 3 hours into sleep
I've tried inducing through WILD a few times now, but when Sleep Paralysis starts, I somehow start breathing manually and fuck up. I oughta do it after 3 to 4 hours of sleep this weekend though, never tried that because of school.
Sounds interesting.

Yeah, okay, I'll try and remember to put a version online when I'm done. I'm always looking for people to read and critique.
Dreams are amazing. If we can't have magic or interstellar spaceflight or actual psychic powers, our dreams are the next best thing.
Plus they can be really absurdly insightful sometimes. Which shouldn't be surprising, since they're basically journeys into your subconscious.
I plan on getting into the habit of reality checking so I can have lucid dreams more (already have had many lucid dreams, but none which I set out to have). <:D
Hmm, I just had a dream in one of my naps. Hurray!
I wanna have a dream about planets again. That was a humbling, awe-inspiring experience, which my mind alone created.
Hmm, I just had a dream in one of my naps. Hurray!
What happened in it?
What happened in it?
It was a very short dream, probably because only five minutes passed before I woke up.
It also wasn't that detailed, but I'm working on that.
I had a dream set in Star Wars. Han Solo was following Luke, trying to apologise for something. As they approach the ship, Leia joins them. When they enter the ship, Han starts crying heavily over the death of Obi-Wan, and Leia backs out of the ship saying that something is not right, something is not right. As she exits the ship a turret pops out and shoots her. The ship starts to malfunction on a computer level, and a voice says that the higher level computer systems will start to fail. I start to feel weird in the head, a very strong tingly feeling that doesn't itch, and I wake up, continuing the feeling into consciousness. I had felt that tingly feeling the first time I had sleep paralysis, so I wiggled my toes.
It was also weird in a sense that I don't normally have dreams influenced by what I've watched recently.
