Whenever I have a dream I almost always know it's a dream but never do anything about it. It's weird, like if something is chasing me the thought will cross my mind "Whatever is chasing me can't actually do anything to me because it's a dream" but I play along anyway
Watched inception and now i want to dream more and learn to lucid dream. I did it before and had all my dreams written down in a book, but i've fucking lost it and i can't remember a single one.
Allright so, theirs far too much on my mind, at most my body is letting me sleep three hours, ive just woken up feeling mostly awake, but i feel like shit. I reallly can't just sleep and honestly, its scaring me a little.
Tried MILD last night. Didn't work. Going to see if WILD will tonight, I don't think I'll awake because of the alarm clock no matter when or how loud I'll set it. Happened 3-4 times already, all set for the different time.
I tried WILD last night, 6 hours after i fell asleep. But i couldn't get comfortable, my nose was blocked and my mouth kept drying up, having a drink only helped for about 5 mins. When i first went to bed i tried WILD too and after about 25 mins i heard a loud buzzing noise and a pulling sensation on my body but it just went away.
Anyway, i had a few normal dreams that i added to my journal.
I haven't been trying to lucid dream lately or anything (never had one before, always kind of wanted to but not really cared) and the other night I think I got really close to having a lucid dream. In the dream I was in my bathroom and I used some mouthwash, but in real life we have purple listerine mouthwash, and the stuff in the dream wasn't that, and something kind of clicked and I realised it must be a dream but I woke up almost immediately after. So now I wanna have a lucid dream.

So doing that in my next lucid dream. Will be hilarious.
That is awesome, I will do it too.
My god, I will never lucid dream I've been trying since September.
I've had a 10 second fragment.
Why is this so hard?
Hypnagogic hallucinations, if you concentrate on them (like you did) they will disappear and you'll snap out of it, but if you ignore them you'll eventually end up in a dream as the hypnagogic images and sounds slowly grow into an actual dream "around" you.

For me I don't even realize I'm having the hallucinations until it's too late and I get thrown out of them

I've tried for around 6 months and only had one lucid dream, which was bought on by a lot of shit lining up perfectly.
I'm not going to bother reading over a hundred pages... What I hate about my dreams are that I tend to dream about thing that will happen or could possibly happen but in a way that they are negative or don't turn out well. I also had dreams where I would be running from something aswell as others where I would see close people from my past.... Just putting that out there. I was told dreams are basically what you fear and what you want.

I've tried since 2005 and nowadays get atleast 2-3 lucid dreams per week :3:
Okay guys I've already heard of a case like this before, and I can't get through it.
Whenever I'm trying MILD, WILD, I dunno, I get visual hallucinations, and then I wake up. Spiders are becoming really annoying, I see them climbing my arm, I do realize that "This is a dream" but it still doesn't work. Damn, I've seen god damn arms flying though the ceiling. Any tips?

Whenever I'm trying that one method on which you have to count so that you stay awake, I get visual hallucinations, and then I proceed to wake up. Sleep paralysis stage? If so, just ignore them, relax as well as you can. Assuming you're trying the WILD method.

How do I start to realize I'm in a hypnogogic image? Before I realized I had had them before I thought they were like eye floaters and shit, but they're just like demo recordings of life.

But they're fucking creepy
A flower basket floating around isn't the kind of thing you're just going to ignore :v:
But I'm going to try that tonight. I get them EVERY night. I don't even need to count anymore, they're just there whenever I open my eyes. Is this good? I mean, does this means that I can get an LD every nght if I get past through sleep paralysis?
I feel like I'm dreaming pretty much 100% of the time.

"i'm a nancy boy if i don't realize this is all a figment of my imagination"
that's what I use to get through scary shit like video games (albeit without the figment part) so it might work there

Go play Amnesia and think about what you said.
Think a lot about it.

Have this to compensate

I didn't find Amnesia particularly scary. Nor Silent Hill. Nor Resident Evil. Nor Undying. Nor any horror movie.
I had another strange dream. I do not make much sense of it and my friend is unfortunately out with a bad case of sudden onset of some disease and is unable to be around for some time.
I remember going off to a military recruiting office but upon arriving I was declared unfit for service and had to leave the office. I sent somebody an email about this and then took a plane ride to Houston. Since I have never been there in real life the city looked like a mixture of buildings from GTA SA and buildings I saw on holiday in Florida. I then attempted to travel to a town called Huntsville from there on but found difficulties. I decided upon the railway but was unable to find a railway station. I decided on a canal and found one but there were no boats on it. I then thought of the Tardis from Doctor who, turned around and it was there. I asked him to take me to Huntsville and I saw some classmates from school there. We arrived and I went out and saw my Grandmothers house, however it was snowing and darkish but not quite dark or light. I turned around and saw a hansom cab there with a girl looking at me through the window in the side. I went over to it and put my face against the window quite close and then it fogged up. The dream then subsequently ended and I awoke.

You never "are" in a hypnagogic image, those kind of images look like they're being projected on the back of your eyelids. You're still awake but these images just float past or pop+disappear on your eyelids. Hypnagogic images only become fully fledged dreams if you ignore them while trying to stay conscious and relax. It's really hard to ignore them though because they're so distracting and realistic.
It's pretty cool how the brain can produce thing's that look so real, yet they aren't even there at all.

I never realise I'm seeing a hypno image until it ends though. How do I stop this
I wish I could be concious enough in my dreams to actually control things.
The moment I realize "Holyshit! this is a dream! I can do whatever the fuck I want to do :buddy:" is mostly the second I wake up. FUCK!
I was like holy shit I can do everything but it didn't work so I fell asleep in the dream and woke up
I have different versions of places in my dreams. The city where I live, the town where I go to school, the town where I used to live, and the city where my grandparents live are the most recurring.
Speaking of which:
I was living high up in a campground only accesable by huge wooden stairs. I was shopping for a replacement car for the explorer. I walked down all the stairs and went to a car dealership. I test drove an explorer minivan, but didnt buy it. It felt a lot like the explorer. I settled an a winnebago or some type of camper van. My family pulled up with the explorer, taurus, and F-150. We set off to dream home from dream salt lake.
Kind of frightening dream I had this morning, good thing I jotted it down before I left for school.
I forget how it started, but I remember being in my Physics class. My teacher was talking about some kind of bug (scorpion I think). He said something about only finding it in sub zero temperatures. I forget what happened next, but I remember lying in my bed with a coffee cup filled with these scorpions, thinking I gathered them. I think I just scooped them up in the cup or something.
I was holding the cup in my bed, it was pitch black, I couldn’t see anything. I felt a sting on my middle finger. Curious, I put the cup down on the table next to my bed, and turned on the lamp. I looked at the coffee cup to see one of them crawling out, with its stinger curled. Then I looked at my finger, and it started to swell and turn dark blue. I shouted for my mother in an incredibly frightened voice. I woke up to me shouting my for my mother, as she ran into my room.
I remember way back I spent about 9 different dream sequences stopping and saying "this is a dream" then having the dream crumble, reshape and repeat the process
I remember once one of the bodies in the dreams stopped me, leaned over me and looked me in the eyes. She said, "Are you sure?"
It took me ten seconds to answer it freaked me out so much... Haven't had anything like that since, but I have a good dream retention. I think I'll look into this a bit when my sleep schedule balances out(... if it ever does before Summer)
Then another time I was high in the air on some metal platform(looking down at clouds high), sort of a scafolding in the sky with iron grating as a floor. Two girls who looked to be zombies were hanging by their arms on the edge of the iron grating. I was scared to death and I suddenly had a butcher's knife. I hacked at one's arm, but I didn't even scratch it.
She looked up at me and asked, "Are you prepared(readt, maybe... I remember the message of the word, but not the actual word)" I took a deap breath and looked down at her. With a tiny shot of adrenaline I hacked down and sliced her arm clean off. The dream ended there.
I think Lucid dreaming will be fun. I've had... Experiences that fringe on this(not really, but they still relate close enough. Hard to explain).
Tried WILD this time, no luck. Wasted about half an hour and then decided to continue sleeping normally. Will try it again occasionally however.
