mother of god
I talked with my subconscious for the first time 15 minutes ago. I was really pumped last night about having a lucid, so I did, and the first thing I did was to stabilize it by looking at the green grass and touching it and laying on my back on it. Then I asked for my subconscious and turned around. And it was there. A fucking seagull. I did not expect that form. I talked to it about things I'm wondering about in life currently, like studying and jobs, and got some answers plus it reminded me that my friends will be there in times of trouble so keep at it. Overall I was happy and woke up 3 hours earlier than usual.
Oh and I asked it first, "Are you my subconscious?" and it answered "Yes, mr. Snorkel"
Snorkel. My alt.
I find that small talk with a sub gets kind of awkward because you both know the same exact stuff, it just knows more than you.
Also, I am doing a huge english project this morning on the day its due because I was doing it ast night and fell asleep doing it, then I dreamed about finishing it, so when I woke up I was all happy I got it done, then realized I didnt do shit. The dream was pretty vivid too. Laying in my bed with my laptop, I even looked at my alarm clock in the dream and remember it was running off my internal clock. Holy hell that thing is accurate.
what
wait, I thought you were talking about those evil floatey things from harry potter.
Dont blame me man, I dont know this shit!
You do. You need Zin to explain that.
Anyways, I think I may have had a fake lucid or something('cause I can't remember it well)
When I tried to summon my sub, imagining he was behind me, I thought of someone to personify him ('cause I still have no clear idea of what he looks), instead I have hideous family on a bench. Thats as much as I remember
if zin would reply on steam I could ask him
if not post it in here, zin

There was only one awkward part, a question that he didn't answer at all. It was dead silent for a second or two and then I asked the seagull my next question because I knew he wouldn't answer my previous.
What was the question?
The only question my sub wont really answer is what my greatest fear is. K dosnt want to show me, and I could care less if I knew.
Personal stuff, not telling :P
had a dream about this girl which made me feel depressed in the morning. I saw her on sunday for the last time to say goodbye and she moves to her new town today, but the dream seemed really vivid. When I woke up, sheer dissapointment kicked in.
I don't remember how the dream started, but I remember a few fragments before including me walking down a spanish-eqsue alleyway with a cobblestone floor, an old wooden tavern thing, something to do with pirates. Then the main dream segment I remember is me turning around in my garden and seeing her, and I faintly remember her saying something like "Let go." and then me feeling confused. She turned her back to me and walked down my driveway, I ran after her and the dream ended. This was last night. I'll type out the dream I had two nights ago later.
How the fuck do you lucid dream so damn easily? Never comes/ever semi-comes...
Like, I know that I'm in a dream, but I can't really (in a sense) control what I'm doing, although I can, since I know that my actions will bear no consequences because I'm in a dream, so I took a shit on my teacher's desk, even though I didn't think about it or even really want to.
Then I literally fell through a fucking portal then I thought everything was real again... so then I started acting normal. What the hell?
As an amateur I made a fucking BIG mistake.
When I tried MILD last night, I asked my subconscious (in the form of a labcoated man, looked modest) what my greatest fear was, forgot to ask VERBALLY.
I don't want to go into detail as I haven't been able to sleep the past two nights, and I don't want to extend it. I just want to say - Paralysis.
Can a few of you post the methods you find easiest? If you cross two different methods together or anything post that too. I'm just having crazybad trouble understanding here.
With WILD, you wake up (REM or not) after going to sleep and then stay still and you begin to see little flashes of color, or flickering, then you start to see scenes that your mind creates. Then you try and go with the images you see and somehow magically pop up in a lucid dream. Am I correct here?
http://www.dreamviews.com/wiki/WILD-Wake-Initiated-Lucid-Dream is where I learned that from. I've seen so many different explanations of WILD that I don't know what's correct now.

We told you man. We told you about that question.
Just had an idea for a reality check that could work for people who have lucid dreams a fair amount
You could develop a habit in your dreams, but something impossible so that that habit wouldn't go in to your real life. Like you could have an irritating habit of flying randomly or something, and you would use that as a reality check if you're like me and see weird shit all the time in your dreams without realizing it's weird. You would recognize your dream habit and become lucid.

probably wouldn't work though, just an idea
Is anyone else amazed at how well cartoon characters fit in to dreams? The dream that I'm procrastinating writing down had Beavis and/or Butthead in a real life plane.

Can somebody explain WILD step by step for me because every tutorial I read seems to jumble it up
Well, two nights ago I decided to try doing some reality checks in my dream. Specifically, I wanted to try the 'poking through your hand' one and the 'close off your trachea and breathe' ones. I hadn't heard of those before, and they sounded cool, so in addition to my normal nose-plug method, I did those. It didn't seem like the hand one was working, but after a little bit the back of my hand started to stretch out from the pressure of my finger. Like rubber or something, I was like "cool". I decided to try it with a pencil, then I woke up. :|
So, it's nice to get a LD again, but I'm gonna hafta see about getting some more meaningful/long/lucid ones. That is, when I get enough sleep for it.
That hand-pokey thing is my primary reality check if I'm not in bed. Also the reality check that got me lucid first.

Is there any chance of me not becoming lucid in WILD? Like putting myself in a dream but losing lucidity and just dreaming normally
We told you man. We told you about that question.
I didn't ever think not to ask that question and one night it popped out, and it was the worst thin ever. I've still got a file saved around here of me explaining it to my friend.
Holy fucking shit my alarm just scared me
I turned off my radio so that I could concentrate on wild and then just as I start to feel something " With light showers later" out of fucking nowhere
Jegus hopy shit
Dreamt that I was lucid dreaming. :smith:
Fuck you brain. You fucking dick.
To clarify, I did everything I would do if I could lucid dream, but I wasn't really conscious.
Think of it like eating a hologram of a banana muffin. You're doing the motions and everything, but it isn't really happening. :smith:
If I get a lucid tonight I'll ask my subconscious what his name is. I don't want to call him Seagull.
I call mine K.
not a bad name imo.
seagull would be a funny name, especially if it were wearing a snorkel.
I tried doing WILD last night, and think I might have met my subconscious. There's this girl that I keep seeing in one way or another, either in a picture or some form of interaction. But what's really bugging me about this is that I feel like my dreams lead me to an alternate reality, and that nearly every time I get into a dream, she's right there in the beginning of it. I'm not really sure how to explain this.
I think once I meet my subconscious he'll be a complete asshole considering the shit my mind does to me. (Trying to sleep? Well I'll just conjure up some thoughts of horrifying monsters in your mind. Have fun trying to sleep when you think you'll get nightmares!)
If I get a lucid tonight I'll ask my subconscious what his name is. I don't want to call him Seagull.
"Seagull, I need backup, now! Do you copy"
"Roger Orkel, sending the 5th Paratrooper division towards your position"
Seagull actually sounds cool.
If I get a lucid tonight I'll ask my subconscious what his name is. I don't want to call him Seagull.
Name him steven seagull and all will be right with the world.
So, still haven't had a lucid dream, I'm going to try and FILD tonight. Wish me luck!
WILD failed me last night. I think I should try it after waking up once I've got enough time.
Name him steven seagull and all will be right with the world.
Haha nice one.
I managed to summon my subconscious and I asked it "What is my greatest desire"
For some reason it looks quite similar to the scene in that Indiana Jones movie where he gets a book signed by Hitler.

Similar in that it was Hitler? Because if so, I've got some bad news for you....

Why, and what is the bad news?
Cept there were no Swatstikas in the dream, there was some other symbol I saw.
I have a feeling my subconscious, if I finally LD again and create it, will disappoint me by turning out to be male. Sort of want a fuckbuddy, you know?
