Hey, guys, typing from an iPod in my bed. I'm trying to do FILD but after some time my fingers hurt like fuck and a have to stop and then start all over again. Suggest something, please? Before I'm asleep already. :frown:
I heard about this on dreamviews so I'm not sure if it's credible, but apparently if you try to wiggle any part of your body like a hand or forearm WITHOUT straining your muscles, for about 5 seconds, it puts you in a dream somehow. Sort of like fild.
[editline]17th February 2011[/editline]
Also, for WILD, the other night I began to start sleep paralysis really easy after I started picturing a red door. All thoughts in my mind were "there's the door, the red door, come here door, you're walking to the door, visualize the door, yes that's a door, the red door" and stuff like that and even though I didn't get a clear image of the door in my head, it seemed to be something to concentrate on until I felt this scary heart rate presence shit.

I haven't tested it myself, but I can see how it works. It was first mentioned in a 200-page book about OBEs.

so this is a graph-mappy-thing I made of WILD and what can happen in it from my own experience
probably not too accurate but whatever
[editline]17th February 2011[/editline]
It's represented as like a side-on view of a cave with a really narrow point which is really hard to squeeze through and seems scary because it could cave in at any minute
I know you're not supposed to WILD when you are first going to bed but when i do and get into a state everything feels dim and then i just get pulled out of it, seriously what do i do when everything feels dim i don't even try and i pull myself out of it.
Subconscious rape .*
DudeGuyKT, now with 1/2 asterisks!
Also, no matter how terrifying it was at the moment, I have to admit it was kind of like an action movie.
So, my subconcious tried to kill me last night, anyone wanna hear?
No he didn't.
No he didn't.
I doubt it was an actual murder attempt, but he sure was fucking with me pretty bad.
Did you provoke it?
Did you provoke it?
No, not really. We were just flying around above ocean and he went all Ted Bundy on me (without the rape part).

In that dream he was probably not your sub, something TRICKED you.
suddenly the door to my side of the car is gone.
Was it, by chance, the right side door? And was said flying car red?
Because if so, the door got ripped off and ended up in my last LD two days ago.
Fun stuff.
[sp]internet sarcasm, just so you smart guys dont take me seriously[/sp]

No it was actually the left side and it was future-chrome. No time-travelling dream skippers today.
If you ever doubt if it is him just close your eyes and make him a bottle of soda.

Really, if that happens at all I'm gonna be so pissed at you, while at the same time being amazed.
Me too.
BOMBS AWAY, FOR SCIENCE!
Whilst I was sleeping, I had this really inspirational dream. I was in this scary-ish game, which I think was called "She Comes", and the basic premise was that I was being attacked by this child-ghost like Samara/Sadako from The Ring movies. However, unlike the movies, I was actually able to kill her, only to have her come after me again and again and again.
Initially I was just stabbing her with garden shears, occassionally gruesomely decapitating her by closing the shears around her neck (FUCKING VISCERAL, man!), but then I ended up in my house, and Mum was talking about the ghost or something, and then I had this idea to go round to my Dad's house and acquire one of the swords that his friend Kevin (the dad of my little half-sister, lives in the same house as Dad) owned, which apparently included a katana, though in reality Kevin doesn't own a katana, at least I don't think he does. Then I said, "and after I have the sword, we'll need to find where she's coming from", meaning that I was basically on a hunt for her resting place, in order to put her to peace, instead of hacking her to pieces over and over.
So there I was, expecting to go on a dark trek to get Kevin's Katana, all the while fending off Sadako by gruesome garden-shear decapitation, and then BLAM!, the dream fast-forwards, and i'm on a plane, assumedly to Japan where her burial place apparently is. I expect a peaceful flight, and then what do you know? SHE COMES. That's what flashed in the corner, and I ended up using the katana to hack apart Sadako as if I were dragging a stylus across a DS touchscreen! I then thought "Gee, I hope the passangers aren't upset...", and then suddenly ZOMBIES!, since apparently Sadako could either raise the dead in this game or send the tortured spirits of her previous victims to overwhelm this new spicy tenacious victim who fights back. So I hack them apart as well, FOR SCIENCE!
That's where the She Comes dream more or less ended, though the ending sequence seemed to include the illusion-generating Apple of Eden from Assassin's Creed. I have no idea about what the backstory of the game is; it might be that some guy watched the Ring video and his 7 days were up but decided to put up a fight, or it could be something else entirely.
This dream was truly inspirational, and I needed to share it. The dream has inspired me to create the game from my dreams, and if I hold onto this dream, maybe one day you guys'll be playing She Comes. Without that ending sequence with the Apple of Eden, that is.
So, what do you think? D'you think this dream means I need medication, or to make a game out of it?
Welp, I probably wasn't pretty focused so I just fell asleep. Thank you very much for some tips guys, you're very helpful. :3:
Seriously though, anyone find the She Comes dream interesting?
uuuuuuuurk
woke up several times because of that thing which tells you you're in a dream now I feel like shit
I had a dream I was watching a program about Hitler still being alive in a small house in England. The dream took place in 1997, which I somehow knew, and I saw Hitler's basement as a poorly looked after wine cell with evil Nazi technology inside it. The program went along going on about Hitler being evil and then cut to what I guess was an advert selling some dog called cookie or something, which became famous on the internet.
Skip a bit, there was a policeman riding along on his bike, and then several people said 'fucking cops' and rode past on their bikes and shot him off. Another policeman screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO". Then, yet another policeman came along the pavement and cracked a joke along the lines of "Gor, £830 a week for that!". This part of the dream took place in something remniscent of an area in downtown Bournemouth, where there's a KFC and some bushes. It was all 1997-ized and looked more 'Londonish' though.
I know I've asked this question previously in this thread, but I'm still a little bugged on the concept. Does anyone know of how one communicates with their unconscious mind?
One member previously stated that this is impossible, albeit the unconscious "you" differs drastically from the conscious "you", and is supposed to interpret consciously acquired information by different/multiple vectors to attain a greater understanding of the information. Ergo, the unconscious self is supposed to have a greater understanding; and the means by which it expresses its understanding (potentially encoded via complex symbols) through intuitive forms.
However, I'm wondering of what methods one may use to communicate with their unconscious self and whether their unconscious self may temporarily omit requests of their conscious mind.
I had a dream about unboxing an unusual modest pile of hat with sunbeams in TF2.
I was like "HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT".
And then I woke up.
in my dream i roundhoused my girlfriend in the face
:ohdear:
I had several fucked up dreams. They are getting more realistic, I am remembering them even hours after the event and in most of them I cause them to end by saying or thinking loudly "I am inside a dream". Except for one very bizarre oddity.

Dude, fuck you, in the middle of my dream I though "Welp no grenades" and suddenly grenades and my Skycar crashed to the ground and I woke up.
woke up way too early today and fell asleep
woke up about 50 minutes later at 5:45 or something (normally i get up at 7) and i've been up since then
i fell asleep at about 6:50 and woke up 10 minutes after though and had a non lucid dream
[editline]18th February 2011[/editline]
i feel like i'm going to feel shattered later
So I just spent a whole hour and a half attempting to WILD. I feel like I got very far, but I didn't actually fully dream. I'm actually confused; I feel like I did something wrong, or rather forgot the last step.
I laid completely still, never budged for an itch or a flinch. I felt completely numb after a point, and I was focused on remembering dreams and lucid dreaming. Only thoughts on my mind. There were three points where I felt about there: one where my vision darkened completely, and the next when I felt completely absorbed into it. I almost forgot my bed or anything, and it was even darker than before; I felt rushed and warm, as if I was right about to dream. I stopped somehow, though. A little later I almost did as well, but nothing.
At several points I had tried to imagine doors in darkness as dreams or slipping into my imagery, but to no avail. Again, I feel as if I did something wrong. I sort of moved, but only in one place; I naturally move my eyes when trying to WILD, and at several points I consciously moved my eyelids/brow because I felt I had them completely tensed and unfurled and just had to relax it. I don't know if that did anything, but it was only like three times and it happened quickly, so.
Any input?
