I have 2 recurring things in my dreams this week. America and Spaghetti bolognes. I've had two dreams featuring America this week and two featuring Spag Bol. Atleast I've had a dream every day this week!
I'm trying Lucid Dreams tonight. I'll post the results tomorrow on my new Lucid Diary Website :buddy:
Link?
Solid_jake, you seem to be very successful at inducing lucidity. What is the exact method you use? I've been trying forever, and I suck at it. I have awful dream recall as well, how would I go about improving that? I have a dream journal, but after about 4 months I only have, like, 6 dreams written in it.

This is only on the occasion where I have to induce it, mind you
Can you have thoughts within a dream? Last night I had a wonderful dream where Starbucks was giving away free coffee and it was filled with strippers and outside was a tiny lake with lots of fish. Well I tried fishing with a rocking and some string and failed, and then I grabbed a fish directly out of the water. After doing that I thought back to an episode of The Office where Creed does that, but I thought it, while dreaming.
I think in my dreams all the time, non-lucid. I also achieved my first lucid a week ago or so, I questioned why and how I was at school and got up and left aknowledging it was a dream. I then walked like 3 steps to my friends house and then lost control. It wasn't very vivid, probably beceause I havn't got a dream diary.
I use MILD when I go to sleep normally, and if I take a nap WILD. This is only on the occasion where I have to induce it, mind you
What do you say to yourself when you use MILD? Do you repeat it aloud or in your head? Also, is it better to be tired, or not tired, when I try to go to sleep? For example, last night at 10pm I was contemplating going to sleep, but I wasn't tired. I watched a movie, and it ended at 12am. By then, I was tired and ended up falling asleep. So, which is better?
What does it mean if my recent dreams have been too close to being like the real world. E.g. Places that I can actually go to, no faces that have been long gone, no items that I have never seen before and no weirdness. I'm worried because this morning, I thought my dream was real even after waking up, plus, there's nothing signifying that it's a dream apart from the fact that I happen to be somewhere.
Before I begin, Everyone imagine the most serious face ever. That is my face. Today, for the first time in my life, I have been scared truly shitless. As you might guess, I went back to Gitchi Manitou. Long story short: I SAW A LITTLE GIRL WEARING FULL WHITE PLAIN AS FUCKING DAY WALK THROUGH A BUSH IN SLOW MOTION, NOT EVEN MAKING THE BUSH MOVE, WALKING STRAIGHT TOWARDS ME AND WE LOCKED EYES, I AM FULLY CONVINCED IT STARED INTO MY SOUL. I am not going to take the time to type all this, unless you skeptical fuckers want to hear it. If you do really want to know, say so. At this point I don't care if you believe me or not. [editline]09:37PM[/editline] I have to tell someone.
I want nightmares :smith:
Too bad. I sure as hell am not typing this up tonight. I am still mentally shaken from this thing. The worst thing was what happened to my friends. A tough chubby farm kid having such a terrible panic he was shaking and crying uncontrollably, and a black belt kid who has been there many times falling over on me from sheer terror. They told me I was the only thing keeping them sane, well the only thing that was keeping me even close to sane was HARDCORE FUCKING DENIAL. [editline]09:57PM[/editline] I think my sub was shitting his pants.
What did you do before the nightmare, i need to know [editline]11:12AM[/editline] I don't want a third realistic dream in a row
obligatory thread music :smug:
What did you do before the nightmare, i need to know [editline]11:12AM[/editline] I don't want a third realistic dream in a row
Wait... do you think I'm talking about a nightmare? FUCK NO! THIS WAS IN REAL FUCKING LIFE!
not sure if this is already stated in first post but, could I use the Lucid Dream mantras, then think about something I would like to dream about and the dream would be about that? Maybe like flying on a frog to school, and driving to my classes in a plastic Lamborghini.
oblivious is oblivious to what im talkin about [editline]10:38PM[/editline] damn automerge
Well maybe if you said it wasn't dream, I wouldn't be so oblivious. This is the dream and sleep thread, I expect stuff here to be or be-related to dreams and sleep
In my previous posts about it, I think I made it clear. Oh well, I'm going to sleep. Lets hope I DONT have a nightmare about it. [editline]11:08PM[/editline] sorry man, Im just fucking shaken up.
Even the most freaky thoughts fail to give nigthmares. :smith:
These shock dreams are keeping me up at night had one I was slammed in the face with a sledge hammer and woke up hard
yeah, when u dream the brain sends out some kind of chemical that makes u hard. Its perfectly normal.
If one is so big as his dreams, than Im one inch man I dont have dreams, cause dreams always lead to disappointments. If my dream comes true, I feel empty and goalless, if not - Im frustrated. Its a lose-lose-situation in any case. Forget about dreams, they always turn in nightmares
Let it be known to everybody on this thread: If I don't ask her out on Monday I'm to be known as: Sgt. Pussy.
Let it be known to everybody on this thread: If I don't ask her out on Monday I'm to be known as: Sgt. Pussy.
What do we call you if you ask her and get rejected? Sgt. Loser?
What do we call you if you ask her and get rejected? Sgt. Loser?
You can call me whore house monkey
yeah, when u dream the brain sends out some kind of chemical that makes u hard. Its perfectly normal.
All these posts and nothing at all interesting or helpful. And no, your brain does not send down "some kind of chemical" that makes you hard. When you sleep, your heart rate slows down, and when your heart slows down, it can't pump all that blood thats in you when it was still going at full. So where does all that extra blood go, you ask? Into your penis. Your penis is made up of, the only way I can describe it, chambers. Each "chamber" fills with blood, resulting in a boner. Learn your anatomy. And now for my second lucid experience ever! That lasted more then half a second too.
I woke up in my bedroom, everything seemed normal. I had gotten into the habit of doing reality checks every time I wake up (in real life) and I did a reality check. I looked a my hands and kept trying to count my fingers, but my fingers kept disappearing, growing, and I just couldn't seem to count to 5. Suspicious, I pinched my nose, and discovered I could still breathe. Thats when I started to get excited, so I closed my eyes, rubbed my hands together and repeated "I want to remain in this dream." I guess it worked, because I calmed down. I didn't think of manipulating anything yet, I just wanted to explore. I put on a pair of jeans (manually, I don't know why I didn't just imagine them on, but whatever) and walked into my living room. My mom was sleeping on the couch, and I asked her what was wrong. She said something about my cousins, but I don't remember. I went outside, and there was this strange gray haze surrounding the front door. There was one of my classmates there and I asked him what was going on. I can't remember what he said, but after that, I descended the stairs that lead to the sidewalk from my front door (which was still blocked by the haze, mind you). When I passed through the haze, I woke up. Also, I don't know why, but being able to breathe with my nose pinched was an awesome feeling.
fine screw you guys. Zin is a minecraft addict and will NEVER finish the OP. Jake dosn't post dreams here anymore, and Doc hardly even posts anymore. I officially declare this tread DEAD. [editline]10:56AM[/editline] A moment of silence.

Those that mean anything? I'm not particularly fond of museums irl, because I go there on vacations with my parents and it's kinda boring, but it depends on the museum. [editline]12:09PM[/editline] Also I was close to WILDing, but my dad has great fucking timing as always, and decided to wake me up. I didn't have my lucid Sunday.
Jake dosn't post dreams here anymore
But you know why I don't :saddowns:
But you know why I don't :saddowns:
Got anything to say about my museum thing?
But you know why I don't :saddowns:
Well I don't know. Why'd you stop? I enjoyed reading the exploits of you and, for lack of a better name, Ellen. Did the two of you get into a fight?
