I can agree to that /insidejoke
Good lord, guys. 24 pages already?
School started. Interesting things have been happening.
Not really.... It has been same old same old here.
Somehow my ability to make new friends in school has run out after last year....
Dammit Jake I need Day 3
Sorry, I can't stand not hanging out in this thread and attempting to lucid dream tonight. I WILL DON'T WORRY!
I have a newfound friend in IED that I told about lucid dreaming, and we both remind each other to RC. I'll get in the hang of it. I hope.
ah, so the OP of the dying megathread has returned.
well, the only thing I remember from last night is that I got at least 5 crazy-ass cramps.
[editline]07:36AM[/editline]
damn you, automerge.
Dream: I'm leaning up against a window I fall through it like it's not solid at all. I land onto the concrete in horrific detail and then I watch how I get buried alive. Fun.
According to my dream journal, i'm only remembering my dreams clearly every 7 days
The fuck?
My most recent drem was awesome though: my mind has come up with an entire game, with storyline, characters and things like weapon designs and enemies.
Fortunate seeing as i'm doing a games design course.
Crap crap crap crap.
I have not recalled any dreams this week. I had perfect recall before I moved. :-(
Thread has been crawling along slowly dying for quite a while. What happened?
like all threads die eventually. people lose interest.
It sucks because we all dream every night with no two dreams alike. But I cant remember mine and jake doesnt even post his anymore.
You can see it slowly slipping through your fingers, yet you can't do anything about it...
What, the thread? Or my dreams?
I remember just wondering what crazy conversations people were having and what cool dreams I could read when I got home from work or school. Now, its nothing.
We should revive it, with posters and a catchy theme tune
aahhhh.... if only jumpstarting a thread were that simple.
[editline]05:48PM[/editline]
We need some hardcore dreamers in this thread. A reason for people to read. Hey Jake, do you mind posting maybe a few seemingly nonsensical, less revealing dreams that are still awesome? People need inspiration.
Just woke up, and actually had an interesting dream(to me it is).
Still writing it down. If only my dreams weren't so realistic.
Dream 1
Can't recall much. I remember hearing the words "anybody" and "pain". I was also in a physics classroom with an empty book in front of me.
Dream 2
It was night time(FTW). I was at a square or plaza, whatever, with my mum, her friend and my bro. Like the people always are in my dreams, they were silent. We were eating at a fancy restaurant, well at least they were, but it didn't bother me, I wasn't hungry. I then decided to walk around the square/plaza. All the store or whatever they were suppose to be were just empty white rooms being lit up by a white light. I then met up with this indian man who was drinking wine. He didn't have an indian accent. I couldn't remember the conversation, but I know it was neutral. Then I went back to the restaurant and saw him again. This time, he was drunk and his cup was empty. He said he want more wine, but then I said "You've had enough" (best part, thats exactly what I said, no doubt). I took his cup and put it into a nearby cabinet. I got back to the table and dessert was about to be served.
Down side, I woke up before I could have dessert, damn you bro!
I only do a reality check when i hear or read it, most of the time i do it without realising. But my dream recall is getting better, i remember some parts of my dream for a nights sleep and normally i can't.

I only remember reality checks when I'm reading this thread. Otherwise, I'm too busy. The only time I've gone lucid was an accident, when I tried turning a light on in my friends dorm and it just kind of glowed a faint blue. Then I realized it was a dream.
Well this is weird. I've been having dreams where I was asking this weird machine looking thing if I could talk to my sub and I don't really know what happens after that. Anyone know why?
I managed to alter the gravity in one of my dreams and I managed to walk on walls, it was pretty cool.
Has anyone ever had dreams in which you aren't the main actor?
I have had a dream play out like a movie, in which i am not in it but events play out and it really is like a cinematic experience.. no lucid dreaming possible there huh? lol
EDIT:
The way i remember the dream is, first i was smoking weed (yeah, i do that and it tends to mess up my dreams, I haven't recently though) but when i did i had a rare dream while under the influence of the dream killing drug, the dream started over a crowd of people, i remember that it was definitely the future and one of the main men looked like Magneto from X-MEN, there was a fight between factions over a powerful weapon that could destroy .. something, the details are fuzzy and i forgot a lot of it as i woke up but it was a really entertaining way to sleep.
EDIT2:
Just slapping this in my post, solid_jake's dream posts are the best thing on the internet.

Yeah, definitely. Happens all the time to me.
It's been awhile since I've tried lucid dreaming, I should do it again...
I totally understand that it can get to be too much, though. I have a friend who was committed to a mental institution after a suicide presumably related to a particularly ominous subconscious aspect. Incidentally, he also had a brain tumor in the part of the brain responsible for separating dreams from reality. I'd rather not have to deal with such things.
If I have to ask my subconscious something, though, I just use ideomotor responses. That way I'm limited to yes or no questions, but no real risk factor.
And as much as I'd like Jake's story continued, he shouldn't put himself in danger by spreading secrets, as appears to be the case.
On a lighter note, I'm totally going to stock up on bananas now. Whoever found that out deserves a medal, 'cause peanut butter-banana-toast sandviches are DELICIOUS

Ok Im going to give this my best shot:
My guess is that your subconscious......IS the robot. And as soon as it realizes you want to talk to your sub, it makes you stop remembering things.
Haven't done a LD in while. Attempting tonight.
Seeing as I have nothing to do tomorrow, I think Im going to wake up multiple times a night and see if i remember anything.

Don't. You'll feel like shit if you do, regardless of the duration of sleep you get.
