The thread will revive after V2 is fully done, relax guys
Well night dead thread. :frown:
That probably won't happen. I'm sorry. I'm just really busy with school and girls and parties and the like, I just don't have time to write v2. If Jake wants to write it, I can proof it. But I can't write it, too busy. Really sorry.
Ah, good memories...I remember when I used to LD, I did it when I was around 10-11, it just came naturally to me, I didnt even try...sadly, I havent been able to do it in a while. Nothing beats flying around cities and fending of the zombie apocalypse L4D style.
Not lucid, but fun.
I don't remember how I got into the apartment I was in, but at some point, the main villain from inglourious basterds decided to set a bookcase on fire, outside of this window on the top floor, which, according to dream logic, would light the whole place up, and also filled the entire building with smoke that did some "funky" stuff to you if you breathed it. So my friends and I evacuated the building to ground level, but then I decided to get all badass, take a huge breath and run all the way up several flights of stairs to shoulder slam the bookcase to the street below where it broke and stopped burning. Then after I looked out the window I saw the nazi guy, and he did the seig heil thing to me. So I flipped him off. Then it was somehow Halloween, and like 5 kids showed up, so I got a really big jolly rancher, and split it 5 ways, because I like jolly ranchers and didn't want to give out any more.
So the moral of the story is, I don't like nazis, and I'm stingy with my jolly ranchers.
I had a really weird dream last night. Here goes:
Ok. First I was playing sly cooper (Just started playing it again in RL) and for some reason there was this other guy; kind of a eviler version of sly. Anyways, there was this house, and in it was these three levels of weird traps: like level one was the exit to the next level was on one side, and you had to climb over piles of creepy things, like shrunken heads, to get to it. At the end, I ended up falling off. The dream shifted to another game sorta like CoD4 Zombie mode, but the nazis weren't zombies(yet). There were grenades and things, and there was a wooden box that we had to open to win. After a few rounds it switched back to Sly Cooper; only it was now in real life (but still dreaming). We were trying to jump into the top level with a car. We ran it off a jump and into the top floor, but then this black guy came out and yelled at us, and we realized it was the wrong house (the one we needed was next door). He called the cops, and we ran. I then got a little kid to make a distraction. Somehow that meant that we were painting the roof (?) and apparently the cops didn't notice. I slipped off the roof, and tried again. There was my cat in there. I got to level 2, then I fell again. The dream switched once more to CoD4. I smashed a guys face with a bottle, and they all became zombies: I mean not like CoD zombies, but no skin on there faces really scary zombies. I tried pressing escape (pause), but it didn't work. I ended up throwing my iPod Touch at the zombies, and it broke. I got really close to lucid dreaming there, as I thought about whether my ipod was broken. I then wondered if I was in a dream or not, but I somehow came to the conclusion that I wasn't. I then woke up.
My dreams are weird... I thought that some parts of this I had dreamed before; but the more I think of it, I didn't. It's just so weird though....
Even though Zin is abandoning us like a horrible person. At least people are posting their dreams. :buddy: And so am I. Finally! I remembered 2 dreams. But I only got one written down: Starts out with me talking with this one guy. I dont remember what it was about. All of a sudden denzel washington showed up in a suit. He was some government official and he was there with a chick in a suit also. Our conversation changed to something trivial, because we didnt want him hearing what we were talking about. I said I had to go nervously and walked out of the house. I got into a blue car. I started to reverse out of the driveway and for some reason the floor of the car was see through and stuff cou8ld fall out. The cap to a car oil container kept falling out. So eventually I got it back on and to stop falling off. I look in my rearview mirror and see a van with flashing lights. I couldnt get a clear view of it so I assumed it was an ambulance. I pulled forward next to the curb, assuming ti would drive by, and it pulled up behind me. Next thing I know my view shifts to a floating camera angle outside of the driver window (like you see in movies) and I see Denzel driving. The female official next to him. And the guy i was talking to smashed next to her. He looked really nervous, and they looked mad and determined. All of a sudden I felt the control of my car transfer to a different agency that was opposing the gov. agency (That me and the guy were working for) And the car TOOK OFF. (Imagine this: GTA4 style of driving. 3rd person and odd physics. But multiply the speed and odd physics by 100) Thats how it was. I was just flying through the city streets and a little bump would send me high into the air. I was going so fast i could barely see what was going on. I noticed there was an instance of somebody by the back right bumper. Sitting in the driving position. (as in Gmod when somebody doesnt make a car model properly) He was driving. It was bill cosby. I was being driven around a city and super speeds in a blue sports car away from government officials by Bill Cosby. We hit this one street so hard we went flying so high, that we must have gone almost 3/4ths of a mile in the air. Across a LARGE river separating parts of a city. like new york. We flew so fast I could feel being pushed back into the seat. All of a sudden before we slamed into the ground, the car was grabbed by a construction crane. I came to a rest hanging upside down in the car a few feet above the ground. Right next to me were a few guys in a car, (like in movies where mob bosses meet at a junk yard.)(he was working with me) He rolled down the window and leaned out, said something, laughed and drove off. End.
I was walking the streets of London with dicaprio's son in one of my dreams last night. Huh......
I am posting this late at night, but last night was screwed up. There is no way anyone could figure out what this dream is symbolising, ever.
I ACCEPT YOUR CHALLENGE, MORTAL. You enjoy being anonymous, but only for a while. Being just another in the crowd is okay, as long as you can do what everyone else is doing. At some point, though, your need for a close human connection shows through. You don't mind being anonymous, but you just wish you had a girlfriend to share it with. Or if you do already have a girlfriend, you wish you two would be a lot more open about how you feel, etc. When that doesn't happen, you feel very constricted, like you're trapped. You want help trying to figure out what's wrong with you, but you don't want to be awkward and broadcast that you're socially awkward to the entire world. You try to be subtle about it, but sometimes it just doesn't work that way. Which leads me to the buff guy. I can only imagine that he's what your subconscious thinks your...I can't think of a word for it. It's like your desire to be yourself. That's what that looks like. He's not trying to break you out of the group, he's trying to free the entire group with you in it. He's okay (and you're okay) being relatively unknown, but again, you do certainly want a small amount of company, just so you can fend off the crushing loneliness. I've been watching a lot of Mad Men recently, that may be overly cynical.

I just took a nap, and tried using WILD. First, my arms and legs got really heavy, then my chest felt like there was a weight on it. But thats all that happened. I stayed that way for probably an hour. How long does it usually take to start seeing sleep paralysis images? And after that, how long does it take to "enter" your dream?
...Ever consider becoming a psychiatrist? T.T
Nah. I just do this for fun. It's like a brain teaser.
I sometimes do accidentally C-WILD (or thats what i think it is) Like, i get woken up in the morning, and im not like, reeaally tired, but still tired, so i first start imagining things, which slowly turn into dreams. then im lucid. For example, today i woke up, started to imagine stuff. those imaginations slowly turned into a dream. thats where i was like "Im lucid." i got really exited and i started running. soon i lost my grip of the ground. I started floating, trying to reach the ground again. I panicked a bit, thinkin "what do i do??" then i remembered. I rubbed my hands together, and repeated, "i want to stay in this dream" It worked. i started to descend to the ground again. but i still felt my body. my hand was really unconfortable, under my back. I felt my blood didnt flow in my hand. i decided to wake myself up. [editline]07:13PM[/editline] So, i dont like doing WILD like, that I empty my mind, just wait till i start seeing things. no, I imagine. that works for me. imagine like what would it be like if i travelled to mars with my friends. that gets me lucid.
That's exactly what C-WILD is, actually. Good job.
Hey Zin, won't you update the OP saying how you won't finish the OP or something?
So my subconscious says (via ideomotor response) that I did have a lucid dream last night, only I chose to forget it due to unwarranted sexual undertones. And was like " ....... sounds........................... plausible. Hrm."
When attempting WILD, do you need to have your eyes open or closed?
Zin that was amazing and absolutely true. I need a girlfriend soon.
Sorry if that depressed you. on the other hand, fuck yeah, i'm awesome. [editline]11:53PM[/editline] OP updated.
Was that fairly accurate, though? I wasn't trying really hard, and I was half asleep, there's probably still more there. Or maybe you just like tigers.
Two Days ago i had a dream that i was in a warehouse like costco, i was walking through a ille filled with boxes. i could hear explosions outside. I turned a corner and saw Dwight and Micheal from The Office, sitting infront of a consol hitting random buttons. Out of the corner of my eye i say Dan Aykroid behind me wearing his gostbuster uniform. he then bitchslapped me and i blacked out. The next thing i remember is that i had gotten into a fist fight with Both Micheal, Dwight, and Dan. Seconds after i Kicked Dwight through a wall i went to the consol and pressed a big purple button, the warehouse blew up and i woke up.
Ok guys I'm going to bed. I'm pretty sure I'll see the machine again cause I have been for the past 3 nights.
Last night I had a few dreams, but I woke up and couldn't stop thinking about a girl that I know.
Ok guys I'm going to bed. [editline]11:24PM[/editline] And nobody ever answered my questions. Its not like they're ridiculously hard to answer, or got lost in the flood of responses or anything.

Think of a giant monitor with a disco floor on the screen. I can't even remember what it says. Also, keep your eyes closed and concentrate on the lines.
I'll quote my questions, for simplicity's sake.
I just took a nap, and tried using WILD. Thumbs up guys, it looks like the thread is coming back to life. I'll contribute: I cant remember my dreams, but I have really really dream-like daydreams. Sometimes, I can even make myself see things. I recently have been able to trick myself into believing things.
I think the only time I've ever achieved anything like being lucid was during gym class during finals. It was a three hour class with only a ten minute test and I just laid on the gym floor staring at the ceiling and I kind of got lost in day dreaming. So much so that the entire three hours went by with out me noticing. Some friends who noticed me said I didn't move an inch didn't even blink. I don't remember what I was thinking/dreaming about anymore.
When i was a kid i used to be able to "project" (Astral Projection sort of), of course it wasn't real and only my perception of reality but i do remember when my dream started i would see a shadow image of myself floating up and away from my body from a third person perspective, then i would see "myself" float into myself when the dream ended (When the combination of my "shadow image" and myself were complete, i would wake up immediately) Crazy dreams i had back then
Now it's time to get jake back in here. When one comes the other goes, I swear....
I am trying to recall some old dreams I've had.. here is one
The dream starts as i am riding a bus (CTA, as i am from Chicago) on a street 2 blocks away from my house. A man is injured by traffic, potentially killed. We turn left on to the busy street (We turned from a busy side-street into a busy actual street which leads off of a bridge) I see the injured man, he is not responding to the woman attempting to help him (or check on him) We travel down the road, things are going insane, car crashes everywhere, the bus turns unusually on to a side street it would normally never turn onto, we get hit by something large and fast and the bus spins in circles (rolling), as if we were in a SUV which had just flipped multiple times, my perspective is spinning over and over. Dream ends, i am awake.
(I am aware of the subtext, the chaos in my life, this dream occurred a while ago) I will try to remember some more as time goes on, and maybe insert some new ones. I should mention that in a lot of my dreams, people die or i may die and the context is always different. I have been shot, stabbed, drowned and etc, same with many other poor individuals in my dreams but they always usually convey a message. EDIT: Here is another
I am defending a spaceship style port from attack, we are overwhelmed by attackers Lasers are being shot from space ships near me, i run down a hall. Men chase me for a VERY short while down this hall, maybe 15 feet if i had to estimate. I shoot and shoot into the very large crowd of men and while i have no doubt i have hit my mark the men still persist, being that one man with one gun can not possibly kill the gigantic crowd. (Think of the group of sentinels from "The Matrix" attacking the human base underground, in one large mass) I am overpowered, i am stabbed with a sword, it is pushed into my chest slowly, it hurts.. i lose the ability to breathe. Dream ends, I am awake.
I don't consider these nightmares as i am not "afraid" of ever dying in these dreams, nor does my death scare me a great deal. I am more concerned about the message. The overwhelming force aspect is not something to be ignored. EDIT 2: I don't ALWAYS have dreams which are violent, people believe these are usually stress dreams. Sometimes i have dreams which DO include violence but sometimes, people never get hurt. Example:
I am there with 2 friends, we appear to be making some sort of deal, drugs or some other form of illicit product. Something goes wrong, shots are fired but i can't remember anyone ever getting hurt. We run and run as we shoot in their general direction running up to a train station but before we board the train i scream to my friend "HEY!" he looks at me stunned and confused, i say "DROP IT!" again, he is confused so then i say "DROP THE GUN!" he drops it before we enter the train as to avoid suspicion for the crimes we have just committed. We are riding this train. We end up getting off the train at some point, or at least we teleport to a new location. It seems we have escaped but we are now in this bad neighborhood walking in the dead of night through an industrial park, my guess is back to our homes. This industrial park is a recurring theme of my dreams, it seems to be built of gerders but serves no real purpose, except the last dream it was featured in involved me scaling the structure to escape my captors. This industrial park is almost always in a "bad" neighborhood. (Memory of events past this point are not obtainable at this current time)
