Dream recall finally started back up today. I guess I'm really going to have to start cramming peanut butter sandwiches before bed to keep it up. Second dream in two weeks about apocalyptic, 28-Days-Later type scenarios >.<
Oh wow, facepunch is back up! 'Bout time. So I planned on talking to my sub last night, but I'm pretty sure my sub wanted to talk about a hidden fear of mine and I didn't feel up to it, so my sub made me forget my dream. My sub has more or less confirmed this. I'm glad the weekend is here, though; it's hard to LD on 4 hours of sleep a night.
When I was younger I used to have these dreams where I would be stuck in a huge spinning wheel and it would never stop and I used to get dizzy and even sick sometimes. Mean anything?
IF you want drugs http://www.dreamviews.com/f44/supplement-herb-drug-repository-56235/ Jake should really edit that in or copy and paste it in.
I don't support drugs so that's something the user has to find on his own

I'm just gonna take a long shot and say it's because of my poison ivy. It's all I can think of when I go to sleep... I remember a dream of mine where the world was ending, but I was fighting District 9 looking aliens in a ruined building. It was awesome.
Oh wow, facepunch is back up! Although, now I've been putting a lot of effort in, I've noticed that a lot of dreams recently involve companions, sometimes in the form of people I know, at other times just a presence. It's nice having someone there with you. Perhaps this is my elusive sub? I guess we're going to have to keep trying. Edit: Oh, and I hope that your poison ivy gets better, Goshoha :)

Anyways, back on-topic! If I get really good at lucid dreams I'd like to visit my past dreams. There was this one dream that involved me being at the top of a pyramid, but unlike a normal pyramid with a pointy tip, this one's top was raised like a roof by shafts. Inside were many talking cats and Egyptians. Anyways, I won't go into full detail about it, but there was this door that I opened and it was pitch black inside. A sudden shock of fear sent me to my knees and the hallways stretched and skewed to make a very large and distorted view. I went into fetal position holding my head trying to not look inside and I woke up the same way! I want to see what's inside that door...preferably with a sword. Maybe it's something that I need to conquer that's in there. I do get afraid of the dark sometimes. Could that be it? I also want to know who that stereotypical "moby dick" looking fisherman dude was...
I had some weird TF2 (character wise) dream like...a few nights ago. I was a RED Scout in some multiplayer "race from point A to point B" thing. We ran out of a base through a forest (I'm making this up, I don't really remember what happened, but this is close), and ended up at another base. This is where it gets weird. Somehow, I had a head start at the other base climbing up a ladder, driving a go-kart down a spiral slide, turning right, then right again, driving through an obstacle course of sandbags, and ending up at three gates with letters spazzing out above them. Driving through the middle gate, I speed up, flying off my go-cart, and landing face first into the parking lot of a strip mall. I dive into a pharmacy and right through the back entrance. In front of me was a busy 4-lane road. I make it past the first lane and do a gravity-defying jump across the next three lanes onto a cliff-side nearby. It was angled enough to run on it without falling. I did a Scout sprint up to this abandoned building, where I met someone at an entrance. He went to a lookout, and I shut the door behind me, but didn't lock it (at this point, I looked into a box of bobbleheads and collected every one of them for an achievement, which there wasn't). Finally, I ran up several flights of stars into the lookout, where I was told to take cover as the guy I met earlier and he to me to take cover as he started to shoot at something off screen. This is where everyone else finally caught up to me, and all I did was smile smugly and wave. tl;dr version: :eng99::derp:
Damn it. Was having a dream this morning, when I suddenly thought "WAITWHATOHFUCKIVEGOTTOWAKEUPFORSCHOOLFUCK", and I kind of... forced my eyes open. Turned out I'd overslept 20 minutes :v: It's a shame though. At least I knew I was dreaming.
What happened last time you activated "Operation Shade"?
I never got to. She seems really paniced and overprotective about it. Also, Riza was a name that I used for alot of shit, like names for video game characters, etc. Likely thats how it happened.

However mine stay true to the videogame: basically, its like watching yourself play a videogame for 8 hours at a time. Actually really boring :\
Copy paste from My DJ(dream journal): I went to sleep again this morning all stressed out, don't stop reading halfway through because it gets crazier and crazier, and this is what happened(note that this is my first WILD): I woke up from my bed to find myself in sleep paralysis. I tried to move my arm up and it kinda moved. I tried to open my eyes all the way but my right eye could not open! I tried to bring my arm over and force my other eyelid open. It didn't work. I couldn't see my hand. I fell asleep and awoke at the same time. I saw another bed to the right of mine and I thought "how did it get there?" I walked over and flopped onto it. I instantly thought. "wait. if they did this i would have woke up. And why would they do this in the first place." so I tried to get up so i can do cool stuff. I tried to use all my effort to get up off of that bed. It started fading I rubbed my hands together and said "INCREASE CLARITY!" it didn't work. I woke up again. I rolled onto my side and tried with all my STRENGTH to get up! I could barely use my hands and i thought "If i try to stand up i don't think i could walk." I put myself up on my legs and my legs had no life at all in them. I fell backwards thinking was going to fall back onto the bed. I only fell into oblivion. I awoke again and somehow got to the door. I opened it and saw my brother standing there. Taller than the door and laughing. I awoke again. I saw a face next to mine for a second. it layed nexted to me and put a meaty hand/claw thing on my stomach.I could not move. I thought "OH SHIT JUST STAY CALM STAAAY CAAALM." I then woke up for what i think is real this time....
ZIN ANSWER THIS So, i have a false awakening. i am false awakening in my bed. i hit the alarm. i lay down. i then hear "ok, a dream where you have to look down at your hands, you are eating lunch and are wiping your hands." next thing i know, im in my school, eating lunch, alone. i look at my hands after wiping them on my pants. next thing i know, im in my room. lucid. its dark. i turn on my light, but i wont go on. i think i lost lucidity a little here. a purple light turns on. i remove the bulb. its still on. i dont want to break it. i set it down. I try to summon my SUB, be he doesnt appear. i turn on my TV. play some halo reach. i join my friends xbox live party and game. its on a map that resembles a flooded overlook. i say "hey peter" hes like "hows it goin' buddy?" "Im in the middle of a lucid dream right now peter. have to go soon" "oh, well, whatever you do, dont look into a mirror." i drop the mic. close my eyes, and open them. i see a mirror in front of me. im not scared. i walk up to it. as a get closer, my gums start to sting. i look normal in the mirror. then, my eyes start to invert inward like im angry, my face takes an angry turn. my gums hurt more. i then look at them in the mirror, and my teeth are really long. i wake up What the hell. i think this was a fake lucid due to the fact that i was able to set my dream. but i didnt act the way i normally would. INTERPRETATION NEEDED
It was lucid, you just lost control. [editline]01:21AM[/editline] And I found out that my school has a SSBM club. YES. And they need a Yoshi main. Double yes.
How can everyone do this but me? It seems like everyone has a perfect idea of what their sub looks like and can even talk to them during the day. How the hell does that work?
Yeah, I've just had lots and lots of practice with ideomotor questioning (finger twitches match yes/no/sorta/dunno to questions). And I actually don't know what my sub looks like, especially since it keeps changing. Apparently it doesn't want me to recognize it, because then it'll lose control of the dream. It knows best, after all... It's saying it'll gimme a lucid dream tonight, but whether I remember it depends on what happens, so.... Yeah, I dunno. EDIT:
And I found out that my school has a SSBM club. YES.
Your school is made of win
If you use two methods to induce lucid dreaming, do they add on to eachother? Like if you use RILD and MILD, do they increase the chance of lucid dreaming more than just RILD or MILD alone? Edited: So here is some content that I just wrote in the first entry to my new dream journal, because I am going to give a lucid dream a go tonight. I hope I get one. Here is the log of last nights dream. In this dream, I progressively became more powerful with exactly the kind of powers superman had. First it was jumping real high, and then I suspected my bones where unbreakable or something. The entire world was that of dead rising. The zombies everywhere looked the same as in the game, except this dream took place somewhere near a body of water. At one point, me and my family went to a library like building near the beach. Everyone had weapons, and one specifically had a shotgun taped to a pitchfork (a weapon from the game the zombies where from). I remember that at one point I had wished dearly that I could fly already, because I could already jump damn high, but when I tried to, everyone thought it was funny. This seemed odd to me, because I thought they should think the mere thought of me jumping very, very high simply astonishing for a human. I think at this point my dream could have become lucid, and it may have for a very brief time with a sort of half awareness. The library type place me and my family had visited was built with wood with a fiery yellow orange finish. It was spacious inside, and was designed and furnished in the fashion common to lodges in the area where I live (in the northwest, specifically Washington). After my family was entertained with the notion of me trying to fly, the last thing I remember was going outside of the building on to the beach. I think I tried to fly out there, but I couldn’t, so I just jumped around and on top of the building, landing on a few zombies. Then, the dream became blurred and dark, eventually shifting into complete darkness, with me thinking “eventually I would have developed laser vision or something” and I also started to compare these powers to superman. At that point I was no longer dreaming, and was lying back in my bed. Dreams are weird.
Today was the weirdest day ever. Spent most of it at Smash club, ate free Korean BBQ, went on a three hour long adventure with a friend to get her TB results read (the place she should have gone was closed). Cut to midnight. Now we go to play laser tag, follow that up with fucking awesome burritos, go back to my apartment and play halo, then at 3:30 in the morning start doing chest bumps with running starts and making gay jokes. Also, the girl I like slapped me in the face. And it was worth it. I found out she's ticklish in her legs and continually gave her horse bites when she wasn't expecting it. I have never laughed so hard at her reaction.
Huzzah, my third, 30 second long lucid dream! At least I'm making progress.
I was at a bowling alley (one that I knew and went to a lot). I was walking out of the bowling alley with some guy who was giving me a lift home or some shit like that. I get in the car, he says something (I forget what) and we pull out of the parking spot. I blink, and then my friend and his father were in the front seat instead of that guy, and that was when I remembered, "Wasn't I just trying to WILD and was lying in my bed?" So I did a reality check, the nose pinch, and it failed. Getting excited, I closed my eyes, rubbed my hands together and repeated, "I want to remain in this dream." Just before we pulled out of the parking lot, I asked his father, "Can you let me out here? This is fine, thanks." Dream logic didn't fail me, and he let me out in the parking lot exit. I started walking down the street, thinking what I should do, when I noticed my pants were loose and sort of hanging. I imagined a belt in my hand, and there it appeared. I thought, "This is fucking AMAZING!" Just as I was about to put on the belt and have some fun, I blinked in the dream, and I woke up, because I suppose I blinked in real life as well. I wasn't in a very deep sleep at all.
After spending almost 2 weeks trying to get into wild I stopped remembering my dreams completely, after that I stopped completely and they came back after a week of thinking about nothing. What did get better is that sometimes I am getting conscious inside the dream, as in I tell myself that this isn't real cause of A,B or C. For example to night I dreamed about looking for a girl I lost in a different time line, I looked for her in the current but I couldn't find her after 2 tries. I gave up completely, that's where my conscious kicked in and told me to not give up cause this isn't the guy you are. My dream suddenly changed to me walking over the streets and finding her on those very streets. Could you say I am gaining some powers over my dreams? coming closer to MILD?
Riza eliminated the shade button. In other words, changed how to access it. So I have to do something diffrent to access it. Oh boy.

So I stayed up until 5:00 AM, but I figured I could still LD if I slept in... but a phone call woke me up before I got around to dreaming. Derp
I can never remember my dreams anymore, neither do I feel like I'm ever getting them anymore (which I know can't be true). Is there any way to remember them?
I just read all of Jake's dreams. Pretty awesome. It truly is amazing what the human mind is capable of. I'd love to be able to talk to my subconscious. I mean, I guess you could say I already AM, but in my dreams. Knowing that someone will be there every time I go to sleep to talk to you and have fun sounds great. I've been TRYING to do WILDs lately, but I don't think I should be. I'm going to try MILDs then during school days when I nap after school I'll practice WILDs. A long time ago I remember opening my eyes from sleep and seeing a girl laying down next to me with black hair and a monotone face. I was so scared all I could utter was, "...Hello..." and then... she vanished. The same night I remember seeing a chucky looking kind of doll on my computer chair...staring at me...I closed my eyes and turned around to sleep. Another time as a kid, when I was living with my mother, I had a toy castle set with little knights by my closet. One night, I was drowsy and opened my eyes every once and awhile. They were inching themselves...closer...and closer every time I opened my eyes. It was terrifying. I closed my eyes for the last time and slept. Maybe these were all SPs that I didn't know until now? I don't know, but they haunt me. The weirdest dream I had as a kid was when I was in my house. I woke up and walked into the hallway calling for my mom. Two of my moms came out from different rooms and stared at each other. My dream ended. Funny enough, a couple years later my real mom and my dad separated (never married) and I soon got a step mother. Foreshadowing, much?
I can never remember my dreams anymore, neither do I feel like I'm ever getting them anymore (which I know can't be true). Is there any way to remember them?
I have had this problem recently, until today anyway. You have to focus on your goal, don't get distracted by real life and your issues in it and try to immerse yourself in dreaming again, that is all i got. For days i wasn't able to remember my dreams but i also know that for those days i was heavily distracted in real life related things.
I had a dream that I got banned then facepunch went down then I went pheasant hunting...... oh wait.... Anyways, I've been hitting the WILD naps like crazy. Havnt done a successful one yet, but when I wake up from one, I feel weird. like half bliss half daydream. For simplicities sake I have taken to calling this state "Dusk". From it I can close my eyes and create small areas in my mind and half see them. Sometimes I can move around, sometimes if I try the dusk will crash. I'm pretty sure I successfully summoned my sub a few times, but I still have a lot of doubt. Theres a possibility Im just making it up and shes not my sub. I had a pretty good conversation with her on friday I think, and she says shes my sub. Hey Zin! Is this even possible, let alone plausible? IRL: I had a heavy moment when I was pheasant hunting. >=hunter *=me [--]=old shed ........................................*......... ......................................[--].......< .....>............................................< ........>.........................................< .............>....................................< ......................>............................< ............................>......................< I didnt put pheasants on, because there were pheasants EVERWHERE when the walkers got close enough, the pheasants decided to rush my position on top of the old shed. I started unloading on anything I saw in the air, yelling WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!! I winged a few of them, right before this german guy with a bernelli semi-auto jumped out of the trees and cut most of them to a fine red mist with poofs of feathers. :smug: can not describe the level of win.
Well crap. Had a dream last night where I was playing some call of duty game, and I can remember thinking "Wait... This isn't modern warfare 2... but black ops hasn't been released yet... so that means... umm... aww fuck this ima keep playing". :saddowns:
I had some very bizarre dreams last night. One involved my friends apparently discovering my nonexistent porn collection, and the other one involved carrots attacking from the sky. It sounds stupid, but imagine thousands of carrots raining from the sky, point down. Razor sharp. :saddowns:
After lots of trying im having lucids almost every day now :D
I met Ron Jeremy today.
