What do you think my conscience would be like? Or at least, yours so I can hope mine will be like it...
It really depends i am scared mine will be like a furry or something
Well, I guess you could stop smoking, LD, then ask it. That's the most obvious way, if perhaps not the easiest way, imo. It may not have anything to do with your sub, though. I think I remember reading that smoking does affect lucidity, on a chemical level. So if it's a chemical problem, it should be treated chemically, though again preferably through quitting. There might be other ways, but it seems to me to be like opening up a whole new can of worms. And btw, that was indeed awesome. Zin is clearly a visual thinker EDIT: THAT REMINDS ME Well that sucks; clearly the 'prototype pic' wasn't quite good enough Family member in the military: Nope Couple pets: Did till my cat died in summer of 09' (pretty traumatic, btw) Moved once or twice: Yeah, we stayed some places in between houses but I don't think they count Have a sister: Yup. I dunno, when I see it I can't help but be worried by the bottom-right. It's so much more edgy and cluttered, etc. Any more general insights? EDIT 2: Hey Birdman, Yukkuri Shittete Ne!
Eh. Like I said, I really have no idea what I'm doing. I get a gut feeling when I see the pictures, and that gut feeling is exactly what I tell you. I have no idea how it works. [editline]18th October 2010[/editline]
Is it possible that I can challenge my sub to a friendly not so lethal duel, since you guys keep saying never to fight it?
Oh, of course. Don't fight it with the intent on killing it, but just friendly duels are okay. Try a Matrix kung-fu fight like the one between Neo and Morpheus. Those are insanely fun. I punched my sub into Mars once. Mars exploded from the impact.
Zin, How long did it take you to meet your sub? and what happens if you kill your sub in a dream? and can you change the way your sub looks?
Is there a specific term for doing WILDs while you're sleeping? I'm guessing it's just a straight up DILD, but this is the second time I've fallen asleep in a dream and then did a WILD and became lucid. Not that I'm complaining, but just curious.

You mean you fell asleep inside the dream then did a WILD inside the dream you had while you were dreaming and became lucid inside THAT dream? Good god. You can't. Yeah, but it'll have a preferred form.
thank god I wrote my dream down Completely forgot it
i have decided to try wild tonight my plan is: go to sleep at like 11 wake up (alarm) at 1.30 am jog my memory lie down and wait is that right? I wanna get this right
My problem while attempting lucidity is while doing both MILD and WILD I can't breathe. I'm in SP, but suddenly I can't breathe as well. I don't have asthma, I've never had a breathing problem in my life, any comments? I think it has to do with me thinking about breathing, if I let it breath naturally, I think the problem will go away.
and what happens if you kill your sub in a dream?
YOU CANT /caps
Damn, we really need a Fitness subsection. I need to figure out my workout routine in the morning. Fuck.
also, when you realise you are dreaming, does everyone stare at you like in inception?
also, when you realise you are dreaming, does everyone stare at you like in inception?
That's happened to me a couple times, actually. Generally, I'd say no, but I can't speak for everyone.
also, when you realise you are dreaming, does everyone stare at you like in inception?
Not that i noticed.
Hey zin, how long did you keep a dream journal before attempting to become lucid?
Hey zin, how long did you keep a dream journal before attempting to become lucid?
I kept one for a month, just because my goal was recall BEFORE lucidity. Theoretically you don't even need to keep one, it's just a really good idea to improve recall, which is basically required anyway.

Considering I recalled 9 dreams from last night I'll start trying to become lucid, thanks
ahh, i thought it was a key to more vivd dreams... Considering I recalled 9 dreams from last night I'll start trying to become lucid, thanks
...NINE? Jesus, I only remember like four.
I think four is my limit aswell oddly.
It's not that I can't remember more than 4, I just don't HAVE more than 4.
Is it possible to not go into SP at all ? Some mornings I can go back to dreaming from where I left but I only go with the flow of the dream. I mean like if I was seeing obama fighting a dragon and I would wake up I could go back to seeing it just as if it was paused and then played but no SP. Strangely I cant get lucid in these dreams I can only watch as if its a movie even tough I know it is a dream.
zin, how long have you been lucid dreaming for? and also, if i sleep on my side and go into sleep paralysis, what happens?
...NINE? Jesus, I only remember like four.
They weren't nine full blown dreams, more like short stories. Each one was completely different to the next though. I'd say the majority of them happened between 4-5am when I kept waking up and falling back to sleep!
MILD or DILD, probably. That wasn't very specific. You mean you fell asleep inside the dream then did a WILD inside the dream you had while you were dreaming and became lucid inside THAT dream? Good god.
Yup, that's about the size of it. First time I did a false awakening, and then attempted a WILD. I was so excited it finally worked, then about an hour after I woke up, I realized I had a dream BEFORE I got to that point. Second time wasn't so cleverly disguised, I fell asleep in a place I've never been before (Though it vaguely resembled my cousins house.), went through the motions. Hypnagogics, sudden feeling of acceleration, dream. This time, however, I actually realized it was a false WILD while in the dream. Sadly, neither time lasted very long. First I was just woken up, second I woke up immediately after calming myself and saying "Alright Z, time to start dreaming." :argh:
zin, how long have you been lucid dreaming for? and also, if i sleep on my side and go into sleep paralysis, what happens?
almost a decade. jesus. I sleep on my stomach most of the time. it doesn't really change SP, it's still obnoxious.
:wtc: 10 years. dear shit.
:wtc: 10 years. dear shit.
10 years of lucid dreaming wow, does it feel like life is much better? That you'd have lived longer than withou ld?
10 years of lucid dreaming wow, does it feel like life is much better? That you'd have lived longer than withou ld?
It's just dreaming. In all honesty, I find recall immensely better for self confidence and personal knowledge. LDing is fun and all, but you can only do so much. Just dreaming and then interpreting it seems to work out a little bit better for me, because I can see what I'm struggling with even when I don't realize it.
I had two very bizarre dreams today, both involving varying amounts of time travel. The First:
I am teleported forward in time and i don't remember the pretense, however When i arrive everyone i know looks older, my aunt, my uncle, my entire family really. I didn't see myself however, My aunt looks horrible and has black lesions on her face, she also looks very pale and is going to see the doctor apparently i can't go outside because of what my grandmother calls "The Condition" that has been only recently (1-2 days) been infecting people worldwide, so i decide to stay inside and 3 people including me at the house remain (my uncle, some one else i don't remember and myself), i remember that everything in the future was different. Different house, nice neighborhood, new xbox, new computers, new movies, books, you name it. Shit is in the future. i remember my uncle going to sleep, the house was dark and i decide to fall asleep too, when i wake up in the dream i have black lesions all over my body and so does my uncle, however, major twist They start aching badly and if you ever had a scab which u ripped open on accident, it felt like that, bugs started bursting out of the lesions and turning into bigger bugs, then bigger beings finally my house is being destroyed and im outrunning a giant monster in a vehicle down a tunnel Turns out, the black lesions were nanomachines and were absorbing human energy to be able to construct themselves, people who were out in the sun more (exposed, outside, where my grandmother didn't want me to be) were getting killed faster because of their exposure to the sun. (Robots, solar power) I remember running away to some island and kevin smith was there, no, i don't know why, however he was explaining to me the nature of things in the future. I remember seeing a banner from "Transformers 5" in which Michael Bay was not directing, Kevin Smith told me he got fired, i laughed on the inside There is no resolution to this dream or if there was i'd have remembered it, my friend however said it felt like a "matrix fanfic", except i remember it being more like the terminator. I'll explain Those nanomachine robots were in peoples skin before i arrived in the future and then attacked me, and only me in the future, i felt like they were waiting for me and anticipating my arrival in the future so they could kill me.
Woke up, wrote that down, talked to a friend about it then went back to sleep... round 2 This dream unlike the last doesn't just involve one time travel instance, but many layered on top of one another. The Second:
I get transported or revived in the future, i feel like before i arrived i was dead then i "continued" my existence in the future. Scientists are trying to learn about the past, while teaching me about the future and trying to get me to prevent something major. I remember one of the major oppositions in this dream was a monster. Remember that I'm in the future now, as far into the future as i will go, from here i get sent back in time.... They explain to me the situation (which i wish i had details about, but i don't) and we hit the streets, we end up i think in this forested place where a monster lerks, we all get scared off and go back to the control center (where i was initially) so i could be sent back further, after some of our crew die, i don't know why just roll with it. I am a few years back, feels like one or two years and i explain to them how their project lead to the disasters in the future, at this point we start working tword our mission. We have to talk to key people and kill others to stop the disasters in the future. We go to this place that looks like a bar, we are basically free to commit crimes now as we kill a woman in what looks like a futuristic children's amusement place (like chuck-e-cheese in the future), one of the bouncers for this place pointed a gun at us but we kicked it out of his hand and killed him, too then we ran through the back into a hotel which looked like a bunch of bunkbeds in like 3 rooms consisting of mostly poor people, we run through the back and i meet up with somebody in the future after i get separated from my team. He seems like a steet-oriented person and we walk near a church where somebody is selling fruit in the front of it, he says we're free to have some fruits, some fruits look strange as if i'd never seen them before, one piece of fruit i picked up looked like a purple piece of watermelon that he told me not to taste, because they were poor in quality. I bring him back to the center and now it's time to go even further back, it becomes evident that our mission in that time was a failure. I get sent back in time to the point their project is now unfinished, there is no time machine and no way to go back any further. There is another person there which i feel died in between now and when i was last, i explain the situation and we go out. We fight people, commit crimes and all in the name of saving the future. I don't remember how this dream ends either, frankly, I'm surprised i remembered this much. Travelling through time in dreams is fun as shit, but it gets really confusing.
I really wish i could tell you guys the depth of these dreams, every single detail, everything was so vivid and futuristic, things that seemed like logical conclusions. New entertainment, new houses, new games, books, walls, floors, cars, EVERYTHING was new, everything, all look like they should have looked in the future IMO. Even people i knew looked older, my sick aunt, who is around 30 now looked more like she was 40 or 50. It was great. It does however become harder to remember because of all the random events in separate timelines, it can overwhelm you really, when you try to remember it all. Anybody else ever had any time travel dreams? It's fun lol
I hate when I forget to put my dream journal by my bed at night, because then shit like this inevitably happens. I woke up last night and realized I had just had a fantastic dream. I couldn't remember it. If I'd have had a binder, I could have literally closed my eyes and started to draw. Literally anything. And that would have triggered my entire recall, because of the way I somehow learned recall.
