this one has a better OP IMO
this one has a better OP IMO
Zin is more experienced and committed than me!
So I woke up last night and decided to try FILD First try, got into transition stage, woke up Second try, got into transition stage, woke up Third try, got into a lucid, rubbed hands together, but woke up Fourth, fifth and sixth tries, successful lucids by using the sunglasses method for clarity and rubbing for stability. So it was a huge success. Didn't know twitching fingers would give me so many lucids. And what I did, let's see. First lucid (fourth try), was pretty short. I appeared at some lab compound thing with eatable people made out of food. Can't remember much but I think it turned into a normal dream. Second lucid (fifth try) was your usual lucid sex dream. Third was the best. I created a huge mech and fought terrorists and shit. Trying FILD again next night.
Told you. [editline]20th October 2010[/editline]
this one has a better OP IMO
He started it. When I realized there was such an interest, that's when I decided to actually write this one.
How long do you think I should be focusing on recall before I attempt lucidity? I don't remember anything from the outside world right now.
Gotta try FILD then!
I love FILD. Dammit. Now i NEED to play kingdom hearts, but I don't own a PS2 anymore. God I miss that game.
How does FILD actually work? Like why does it work even?
Yes. Fild finger induced lucid dream. Fall asleep. wake up 5 hours later. Lay down. Move index finger and middle finger slowly together and apart. Do this for a while. Then rc.
I just did it until the usual WILD sensations came in. Like feeling of movement and sound of buzzing and so.
Ive pretty much given up on RC, WILD, MILD, and most the other techniques. Ive had a few LD's from logic, and from my sub. Lately, my sub has been helping me be more aware and logicable. I wasnt sure of this, so I tried ideomotor response. I asked " Are you helping me be more aware?" I got yes all three times I asked. I think K wants me to do better in school.

Like why does it work even?
When you LD, it's basically your body falling asleep and your brain...not. If you focus all of your brainpower and concentration on just one or two fingers and focus on moving them very, very slightly, you make it easier to induce dreaming. Eventually you don't even MOVE your fingers, your brain just thinks you do.
Well, FILD seems promising. Im probably going to try that tonight. But I can neer remember my dreams anymore really.
I have dreams like this sometimes. Annoy/scare the fuck out of me.
Take sugary stuff just before you sleep, this will stimulate your brain, which also stimulates your sub, sometimes, to an extent your dream gets pretty out of place. These may all be assumptions but The first dream, you were probably sick of society in your school and for the second one... I'm not sure.
That's very true. My school is, quite frankly, full of mentally-defective rich/upper middle class loudmouths. My only logical explanation as to how they're even in high school is that the parents bribed the school systems (Which are very poor in my town right now) to promote their children in exchange for money. The school doesn't really get bribed, but such a situation actually makes sense.
Euch, dream recall has crashed through the floor again. Moar peanut butter sandwiches before bed, and time to try out FILD. I hope it has as much success as others are making out...
Could someone read this through or maybe even try it? RCM (Reapeated Check Method) The idea is that you put a symbol or letter on your hand, and when you see it, you do a reality check. the idea is that when you see your hands, you think about doing a check, so you do. chances are that you will do one in a dream eventualy, and become lucid Would it work? also gonna try FILD tonight

If you put a symbol on your hand and do an RC based on seeing that symbol, if you don't see the symbol in your dreams, you won't do an RC. Just do that, except whenever you look at your hands, do an RC. Or something of the kind.
With FILD, do i have to wake up 5 hours later of just use it now?
How do I do ideomotor response to myself?
Hey guys I have a quick question. I've been religiously practicing reality checks in my daily life. Like literally, almost every time I see something weird I ask myself "Am I dreaming?" and pinch my nose and try to breathe in. I'm remembering my dreams very well with a few nights of practice. I even remembered that I was on my computer, and I remember what files and folders I was opening up and everything. The weird part is, when I wake up I have trouble remembering daily things and I feel like I'm still dreaming. It's nothing huge, it just sounds like it is. Will this go away after I stop practicing dream recall/reality checks so constantly? Or to lucid dream frequently do you actually have to change your lifestyle a little bit?
Hmm, when I tried my C-WILD last night, around 80 or so I had a sensation, sort of like a electric jolt, but without pain, in my head. Is this me falling asleep, or is my head just messing with me?
As soon as I asked this the thread went off-topic :frog:
Zin answered you, and if I remember, he said it was exploding head syndrome or something.
As soon as I asked this the thread went off-topic :frog:
That's either EHS or the way you WILD. Dunno.
During the day, my house is too loud to let me get a good nap and do FILD. I'm thinking about sleeping outside in the woods or something. Turn into a druid or something... I guess one could worry about bugs, but I don't care. Ants are annoying, mosquitos, who gives a fuck; ticks, probably the biggest of my worries, but I have fire, the biggest of their worries; bees, won't do shit; spiders, will crawl in my mouth, give me a boil, and it will hatch releasing tons of baby spiders will i'm in the bathtub (anyone get the reference?).
I slept under a picinic table at a public park once.
I slept under a picinic table at a public park once.
On my 12th birthday, my family brought me to a restaurant and I had to use the bathroom. I shit on the floor, wiped my ass and threw the paper on the ground, and pissed on the toilet paper, walls, and toilet seat and yelled, "It's my birthday I can do whatever the FUCK I WANT."
I would do that in a dream, but :saddowns:
My friends slept in the middle of a giant fake tree in an outdoor mall area. I plan to do it with them this year. Also goodnight time for me to try lucid dreaming.
I was sleeping under it overnight. I wanted to know what it was like to be homeless. Pretty freeing experience, IMO
Quick question: If you talk in a lucid dream do you talk in real life too? I want to know this before I get into a lucid dream and start saying retarded things that other people will probably hear.
I've been trying to lucidly dream but I am having trouble. I have tried for a good month's time to try, but the only thing I get is feeling numb. I've tried for 1 hour laying down, using the WILD method I believe. What am I doing wrong?
