Give me a day and I'll write it down when I replay it tonight.
:pervert:
g2g guys, grounded.
CYA IN A FEW DAYS, SUCKAS!
HAHAHAHHAAAAAAA
Well crap, I've been doing all sorts of stuff, including LDs. I HAD LIKE A GIANT CHAIN OF LUCID DREAMS: LIKE 9 OMG
Also midterms. Those suck quite a bit more.
But my dreams are getting big enough that I don't have the time or memory to write it all down... daaaaw
I seriously hope I get enough time to put my dreams up here... Need some help interpreting some stuff anyways
Well, I'll put a quick non-LD, I guess
10/19-ish
I dreamt I was somewhere outside at night, and a friend of mine dropped a can of a specific brand of caffeinated soda. It was open, and since it might have gotten dirt in it (yes, it was open, and no, it didn't spill. RC fail), I decided I would drink it because other people might not want it and it's too good to go to waste. I briefly thought "Wait, this might make it harder to LD", but then I figured I don't really know, so maybe it would help. Then I went to bed and faded in and out of sleep. When I checked the clock, it was 5:38 AM, and I realized that whole thing was a dream. I felt pretty derp, but not as derp as when I later realized I might have still been dreaming.
tl;dr: I need to RC more :/
EDIT: I take this all to mean I like to drink that brand, and I don't like letting things go to waste. Also, caffeine affects sleep. <-What shockers
And DAYUM, I've been working on my DJ intermittently all day, and I'm not even half done. Granted, I couldn't remember it all if I tried, but I've still got more I remember 12 hours after the fact. I think I'd better go write more right now... brb
I had sleep paralysis for the first time last night, I saw something on my chest that looked like a black cat or a monkey, with a horrifically distorted face. Started screaming but I couldn't move, my brother who has a room next to mine started to yell at me and that woke me up from it. Possibly the scariest fucking thing I have ever experienced.
Is there a way to enter sleep paralysis on purpose? I'm going to attempt putting everything in the EXACT place it was as last night, in hopes of getting into it again.
Old dream I found on my computer, still trying to figure out what it means.
Me and a kid ( boy) were sitting at a kind of docks, it was swaying, and the handlebars to keep you from falling were very loose and almost gone. Making both of us almost fall into the water.
He was talking about some kind of poem, rehearsing it and telling me it over and over again. I can not remember it.
Eventually I did fall in, after swaying around witht he other child. a crowd of people yelling and sobbing over it. My family was there, in complete shock as if something horrible had happened.
I remember that me, my sister, brother, and mother were on vacation.
Me and my brother ( I think ) were taking showers parallel to eachother, it looked as though we were right next to eachother, for a second I looked at my drain. There were spiders in there.
All of a sudden, spiders. Spiders everywhere. Spiders were coming through the drain, from the walls, everywhere. My brother and I started striking them with towels, and our arms and legs.
I ran out, and started sobbing on the floor of what seemed to be a hotel room. I didn't know where I was at all during all of this.
Repost for new page, mainly interested in the paralysis bit.
If I remember correctly, is I never summoned my sub, my LDs would be boring.
What does your subconscious look like?
How do you summon your sub? Just like anything else?
Well the other day I got my first proper lucid dream. Not just some semi-aware shit, but fully aware and lucid.
It was one of the strangest experience. I don't remember much of the dream, but I remember at one point I was in a wooden cabin or something with snow outside. I was looking at my surroundings and the object placement in the room, then it just hit me, i'm dreaming. The transition from my dream to lucidity was a huge mindfuck of sensations.
You know when you usually dream, and it just feels like you're watching a 2D movie screen and you're not fully aware of your surroundings or the geometry? After I found out I was dreaming, everything suddenly went bright and vivid. My surroundings became 3D and surreal. I could touch random things, look around; behind surfaces, under things, jump high as shit, kick in doors. It was awesome.
It didn't last long after I became lucid. I explored around a bit and then tried spawning a box. I was concentrating on spawning a box on the floor, but I was too excited so I ended up waking up. :(
How do you summon your sub? Just like anything else?
I have never successfully done it, but all my attempts ended as a fail.
You're better off finding your sub within the dream itself.
You people and your anti-sub things.
A friend who study's metric tons of shit like this tells me that they aren't anti-subs, they are "creatures".
Basically shit that leaves the astral plane to feed off of peoples negativity by giving nightmares and shit, she even explained why they would become harmless at some point.
I'm still finding it hard to believe her though.
Well fuck your friend and fuck her couch.
She's wrong, and she's studying it from the perspective that astral planes exist, OoB experiences are real, there's a spirit world, and there can be negative energy.
Ask her how she feels about psychics, I feel like she'll give you your answer.
As for what it ACTUALLY is, it's exactly what I said. An "anti-sub", as we call it, is basically everything negative about you balled up into one. It's technically a very, VERY elaborate method your sub uses to build your trust and test your strength, so in that sense it is, in fact, your subconscious.
Astral planes don't exist, your friend is wasting her time, and she should probably spend her time doing more productive things.

Also I cut my thumb to the bone while carving a pumpkin. Not only did I need stitches but I also ruined the pumpkin, both of which piss me off significantly.

So let me get this straight.
An anti-sub is basically all your negativity turned into a person to make you trust your subconscious, and because your sub creates it, it essentially, a part of your sub.
What if I created an anti-sub, to make my sub trust me?
I had a dream that Children of Bodom's guitarist was famous for survivng and escaping from a post apocalypse.

Haha, awesome. Congrats!
Spawning something is easiest if you imagine it behind you and turn around.
Last night I had a dream that I put Flubber (for lack of a better term) on the bottom of my shoes so I can jump higher then I played basketball.
FILD failed last night :saddowns:
I decided I would do one right before I went to bed for the heck of it. I waited until I was very very drowsy and started moving my fingers. I was laying on my back and was extremely relaxed. After about a minute I felt tingling all over my body. I knew that if I did an RC that I would be Lucid. I just knew it. I reach my hand for my nose and...
I sneeze. :orks:
Maybe tomorrow...
Tip: You will get out of your bed when you start dreaming. You will feel a, lets call it a push. do an RC then. not before that. I learned that my first FILD.
I heard that when people do this that sometimes they wake up from the dream, and that it's better to become Lucid before you get out of bed.
Can't seem to get FILD, any tips?
Can't seem to get FILD, any tips?
practise it for weeks not days
I had a dream which was probably influenced by all the New Vegas I've been playing, but it was still pretty awesome.
I opened my eyes, I was sitting slumped against a rock. I looked around, nothing but sand, rocks, and a few shrubs. My head hurt like hell. I look down at my body, I'm wearing an armored Vault 13 suit. I check to see what I have on me, a canteen, pistol, machete, a shotgun, and lastly, a bag holding all my ammo and food. I stand up, starting to get a feel of the armor (note I'm not at all lucid). I pull my shotgun to a fire-ready position, and start walking. I only managed a few steps before a heard a sort of squeak/hiss, the sound a Radscorpion makes. I turn around, and there is a fucking Giant Radscorpion charging me. I immediately start sprinting away from it, but the fucker is fast. I looked behind me and it was gaining. There was a cliff ahead of me, so I had the choice of getting killed by the scorpion or taking my chances jumping. I jumped. I landed, rolled, and got up. I looked up at the cliff, and the scorpion just backs away from the cliff. I put on a smug face, flip it off, and start walking. I holster my shotgun (by that I mean put it on my back so I'm not holding it), and start walking. I had no clue where I was walking to, but I just kept walking. After a while of uneventful walking, a group of 3 Powder Gangers circle around me, telling me to hand over all my shit. I tell them to fuck off, and in one quick motion, ready my machete, stab one guy in the gut, and spin him (and therefor me) around so he acts as a human shield for the hail of lead that followed. After they stopped shooting, and started backing away from me. I pulled my machete out of the guys gut, threw it, and it sliced off another guys arm. Then I unholstered my pistol, crouched, and shot the final guy in the head.
All in all, it was very cinematic. I only wish it was lucid.
I'm hardly influenced by his dreams, I don't have Ellen Page popping up unlike some of the other people here who read jake's stuff.
But an anti-sub would be fun, someone, who would show up in the dreams and start a dark and evil commotion, even if it hurts a lot.
Anti-subs are damned creepy. My horrible sinister fat man is not someone I wish to bump into again any time soon :S
What is an ideomotor response?
I did it! First full lucid, and finally met my sub. I remembered stabilisation techniques. Just wish I had more time, I only had a minute or two dream-time to fully enjoy the lucidity :/
I came out onto a bright street, with warm orangey-red bricks on the ground, and the centre filled with decorative flower-boxes. It must have been early evening, as the sky was bright blue but there was a warm golden light on everything. Propelling and twisting on the trolley, I travelled down the street, and, as I turned right, I realised I was dreaming. I struggled for a moment to stay asleep, as I was certain one eye was opening, but after a tentative moment, the dream stabilised. I decided to just carry on with my dream, but managed to hold my awareness at the back of my mind, and didn't forget. I spotted some friends walking further up this side street and climbing some white metal stairs into a building. No longer on my trolley, I followed them.
It turned out the building was a sort of "House of Horrors" attraction, though it wasn't very scary. Made up of tiny, twisting and sloping corridors, I followed the trailing group of friends steadily downwards through the building. In frames on the walls were photos of people that had died and commemorative plaques beneath them. One friend observed in confusion "That's Lisa Simpson... she's not dead..." Let alone the fact she was a cartoon character, something even then my dream logic didn't question. The same walls slightly further on were scrawled with different colours of grafitti. I don't remember what was written, just that I found it amusing. As we continued on, a girl came out of what I assumed was a toilet in this alcove off the left. As she left, the room emitted an unsettling beeping noise and, when a friend suggested we investigated, I declined as I didn't want to encourage a scary dream.
The corridor opened out into a shop, filled with all manner of souvenirs. To the left on both walls were tills, and straight in front was the glass front. We all headed for the doors. My friends reached it first and, realising it was locked, just walked away. When I approached, I was told by someone I couldn't see in a sinister tone "Oh, you can't leave..." I decided this was my dream, so of course I could and, much to whoever it was' displeasure, I yanked the door open anyway.
I was now at the height of my lucidity and in open space. I felt the dream begin to destabilise, so span about four times. I knew the dream was ending, and most things were indistinct - there was little in the way of surroundings beyond the shop, just open sky and bland ground. I stared at my left hand, wondering if it really was a useful reality check, and saw that it was distorted and the palm stretched out to the right. I then turned to my left, looking out over the dreamscape. As I knew the dream was ending, I wanted to do something worthwhile with my lucidity. My muscles tensed for a moment as I hurriedly considered flying, then stopped myself. I thought, why waste my time on that when I can finally start building a link with my sub? I said aloud in a calm voice "Can I see my sub," and, as I'm polite, "...please?" For a moment there was nothing, and I was about to turn away, disappointed, when he finally appeared. He was scruffy. Dressed in some sort of blue and black coat, his hair was the same colour as mine, and ruffled up. He also was unshaved, so was a little stubbly, but had insanely bright blue eyes. When he appeared, he just stood there a moment, a friendly presence. The next thing I knew, he was sat on a low bench outside the shop. He looked, for a moment, surprised and almost put out that I'd actually managed to lucid dream. Then he relaxed, and then finally, admiring my determination, said "A strong one, you are" (said in some sort of accent, not Yoda-like despite the weird word order).
After this, technically I began to wake up, but I drifted back briefly, finding myself exactly where I'd left off. The reality of what just happened began to sink in and, faced with my sub still sat on the bench, I punched the air and did a bizarre victory dance, and yelled aloud, "YES! My first motherfucking lucid!" (No idea why I swore. I don't swear a lot.) I think my sub was amused by this, and think he said something congratulatory.
Sorry for the length.
Tl;dr: First fully lucid dream since starting to follow the thread. Met my sub.

The guy trying to stop me leaving reminded be of the sinister dream guy from before. Not another obstructive visit from my anti-sub, I hope? :S

Grats! Your first lucid seemed much more vivid and longer than any other lucid that I've had so far. Plus, you met your sub!
I had my second LD last night. When I entered the dream I could tell I was dreaming, so I did the rubbing hands, and sunglasses. Then did a RC to make sure. There was a little bunny thing shooting fire at me, so I spawned some fire next to it, and killed it. I was in a building with a lot of doors, I tried doing the spinning thing to change the scenery, didn't work. So I told myself the door that I was looking at leads to outside, and it did :D. Can't remember the rest.

Thanks :D And yeah, my dreams always seem to be ridiculously complex. I also try and stick as much detail as possible into my DJ which is where I copy/pasted this from, so that's why it's so painfully long!
I havn't been able to become lucid since my girl stabbed me in the back..
Whats going on there?
I NEED TO STOP HAVING GODDAMN SEXUAL DREAMS WITH VERY SPECIFIC FEMALE FRIENDS. IT MAKES SOCIALIZING WITH THEM AWKWARd.

Sex dreams are good
very good.
Not when it's one of your best friends it's not.
Aiming for my first LD with FILD again tonight... Wish me luck. Hopefully this time I won't be too tired when I wake up/forget my dream/fall asleep while trying to FILD. :saddowns:
So last night I did the sunglasses method and it worked! It was pretty awesome
But that's all I remember. Cue emo-face
So yeah
