2nd ld last night, realized i could breathe through my nose when closed then started to rub my hands together which made it a little clearer, then i used the sunglasses technique which actually helped a lot, though i couldn't hear anything.
so i tried "spawning" a gun, but i couldn't. anyone know why? maybe i wasn't concentrating enough or something

The dreamlight and previous models I believed were developed with the help of Stephen LaBerge.
last night was nasty. so many bad dreams. when I woke up at morning and checked my dream journal (that I write in in the middle of the night when waking up from a dream) it wasn't fun to see keywords like "zombies", "cannot wake up", "my cat was eaten by a dog", "late from work" and some others.

I am proud! That's how my first lucid dream was too! Everything was a plethora of jumbled together, random, excited thoughts, but it was lucid! I haven't been focusing on lucid dreams lately because blah blah blah life issues and stuff so I'm going to make a new account soon and try to dedicate it solely to this thread because this is the thread that made me join FP and I love you guys! The rest of FP I still need to learn to like... However, I "accomplished" something else yesterday...
I woke up in sleep paralysis for the first time...
(NO SCARY MONSTERS OR IMAGES. JUST A REALISTIC FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE. SKIP IF SOUNDS BORING.)
I woke up in the middle of the night and I was thinking in my head, "Why did I woke up? Now I'll never get to sleep..." I was going to turn in my bed when all of a sudden. I couldn't move. I could feel my teeth pressed down on each other (my teeth kind of lock down slightly hard when I sleep) and my breathing. "Oh no...I'm in sleep paralysis..."
I couldn't move at all! I started to breathe faster and I heard my breathing all around me with a myriad of ringing and weird beeping noises. The only reason why this experience was scary because I've never really been in it before and have been aware of what it is! At this point I DON'T want to enter a lucid dream from here because I'm terrified and I'm breathing pretty fast. So I start to calm myself down and try to think it over. "Maybe I'll start to move soon...I need to focus on moving..." My breathing was still fast, but I was calm. I heard a friend's voice that felt like it was coming from behind me and he was talking about cats and trying to communicate with me as if he knew I was in SP. Such as, "I know you can hear me. When you wake up we can talk about cats. Okay, I'll just talk about them now." Damn it was annoying, but it helped me wake up I guess. I started to move my arms and stuff and my legs calm back to my control a second after.
tl;dr: First time SP was slightly scary. Some weird ringing noises, beeps, I heard my friend's voice REALLY clearly like he was right behind me sitting down. No monsters or "spooky" images.
You have to think of sunglasses specifically. It should work if you do it right, but then again I don't have glasses.
I don't know about your sub. I was expecting mine to be outgoing and talkative. Instead, it's really shy and curious.
Playback a song in your dreams and see what happens. Do the hallway fight scene from inception. Real pokemon battles. Make yourself a video game character and play in a game that doesn't exist yet.
There's tons of cool things. Make a list.

Why oh why have I started doing the spaces thing??? I guess it's because of how I think.
Another lucid dream last night. Finally. I found it helped looking back over my dream journal for key themes. For some reason, realising that I've been topless in inappropriate situations in dreams has become a more common theme recently. So I dreamed last night I was back at high school, and was in said situation, and was racing down the corridor trying to find something to wear, covering myself with a sheet of homework or something. Then I stopped and thought, "This is ridiculous. I'm dreaming." I didn't reality check, I could feel it was a dream. I summoned some sort of clothing for me to wear, and ended up with a black tee like I wear to work. I thought about exploring the dream version of my old school, and turned to go look, then paused. "I don't get this chance often, I might as well go and fly or something," I said to myself, turning back down a corridor to the right which lead out into a courtyard. Just as I went to go outside, though, the dream destablised (but in a fake way - I only THOUGHT it was destabilising) and I saw some funky random shadowy things splitting off like a black kaleidoscope. I tried to rub my hands together, and I felt like I was actually doing it in real life (dream hypersensitivity I guess). As a last ditch effort, I summoned my sub behind me. As I turned, he was just beginning to form, and was an indistinct, fuzzy presence. However, at that point, I lost lucidity, and though I remained in the same place, I decided that I'd fell asleep on the floor outside the guys toilets. I got up and carried on my dream thinking "Woah, that was weird... nice t-shirt..."
How do you summon your sub in a Lucid Dream? Now that I actually know I'm capable of Lucid Dreaming I would like to know how to do things like summon my subconscious.
It depends what works best for you. The first time I did it, I made sure I was at the height of my lucidity, then spoke aloud and asked for it, and sort of willed it. It didn't appear at first, but when I looked back, he was there. Other people seem to have found it useful to imagine it's behind them, then turn around, having summoned it there. Other than that, I'm not sure. I think if you will it to be there enough, sooner or later it will appear to you.
ninja'd.

Okay. I've heard that imagining something behind you and turning around really well works. What should I think is behind me? Or should I just say to myself "My sub is behind me" and turn around?
Does anyone know how to prevent having wet dreams? I want to jerk off less but when I go a few days without fapping it results in me waking up with fucking sperm on my thigh.
Funny because I've never had a wet dream, and any time I've come close the dream shifts. I'm naturally immune to jizzing in dreamland.
Anyway I had 7 dreams total last night. It's getting too confusing for me. In the past 3 keeping a journal and being into this thread I've successfully had my first hardcore lucid dream and summoned my sub once. Thanks for all the help guys! Even if you didn't know it, I've really been helped by any comments of success and stories. I have yet to talk to her in depth, but I'm determined as hell.
For anyone who's having trouble, keep at it!
My sub is oddly bro-ish.
He uses my form and we end up greeting with a fist pound and "sup man"
Its pretty cool.
Also, Ive been working on NLP (neuro-linguistic programming). Its pretty much using body language to communicate hidden themes to seemingly random people. Turns out, this is a lot easier if you know the lil dude inside you that controls subconscious body language.
Go look it up and try it some time. Its fun as hell.

linear-modular thinking ftw.
You can't really summon things in front of you, it's harder to do and your brain has issues doing that. Imagining things behind you and then turning to face them is far easier.
I just had this idea from last night's sleep.
I've found a flaw with MILD. You may say your mantra over and over again, first few times you mean it, the next will simply be forced repeats and then it becomes a chore.
So, I have this idea, which I call, IILD (imagination induced lucid dream). It's basically you envision whatever it is you want as you try to sleep, maybe a lucid dream. Keep envisioning it like a story and don't stop. Eventually, you'll go to sleep and your dream might be based on what you envisioned.
Anyone wanna give it a shot. I still have like 15 hours before I sleep again.

Actually, I've hard of a similar technique called VILD, which stands for visually incubated lucid dream. It's an offshoot of WILD where you basically imagine the dream until you enter that dream.

I've always done this. i wasn't aware some people don't. What else do you do while you're falling asleep? That's when you can think about whatever you want.

That actually works very well in LD's. Source engine commands work as well, if you're familiar with them.
Is that in hours? Also thanks and goodnight and goodluck.
First is 3 hours, then 1.5 hours, then 45 minutes, then 30. you'll never get to 30.
Ill never get REM in 30? Why is that?
Just went searching in Fast threads for this thread. Went through 20 pages and then i realized it is in GD.
I am offended, sir. Like this is fast threads material. pfft.
