Ah...... saturday night. The only night of the week I can stay up until 2 AM and still get 10 hours of sleep. inb4 lazy fatass american
Its Friday dude.
Its Friday dude.
Where I am, it's 2:02 in the morning, which technically means it's saturday, but that also means it's saturday morning.
So I've heard taking a high dose of melatonin helps with the WILD method. Any advice on that?
Took plenty of pills tonight, hopefully I can get a good lucid dream going, only ones I've had so far was being in control and being able to manipulate gravity by jumping really high.
Where I am, it's 2:02 in the morning, which technically means it's saturday, but that also means it's saturday morning.
I thought that was the case, but since he indicated it was night I thought he was just a day off.
I thought that was the case, but since he indicated it was night I thought he was just a day off.
Oh I know, that's why I added the bit in the end. Bah, I shouldn't have replied at all. At any rate, it'll be time for bed soon, so I need to figure out my dream plan for the night. I'm thinking some kind of mild/vild thing...
Oh I know, that's why I added the bit in the end. Bah, I shouldn't have replied at all.
Why?
Why?
In retrospect, it just seems like such a trivial, unrelated thing to comment on, and I don't know if it's just because I'm a little tired, but I'm getting this paranoid feeling that my posts are going to be misinterpreted with a sense of animosity...
Na, I didnt know if he was wrong on the day or the time. You cleared that up. No problems bro. Everything is relaxed in this thread. :buddy: [editline]6th November 2010[/editline] Oh and its because youre tired. I get paranoid when Im tired also.

Speaking of being paranoid and tired. Im going to bed. Dont know if Ill try anything. Whats the point in trying to LD if you cant remember anything right?
That's not the attitude. It's not like LDing takes effort. If it stops you from sleeping you're doing it wrong. oh, FMA dreams. How I've missed you.
I had one of my favorite and BEST. DREAMS. EVAR!! I woke up from it about 15 minutes ago. I was lucid through most of it, but I didn't change much stuff, so I guess I was half-lucid. I used the hand-rubbing, and tried the sunglasses method and it worked great. It's pretty long, but maybe someone can tell me if it has any meaning. All of the stuff in ()s are outside notes. I still have a feeling of excitement now :q: When I entered the dream, it was Halloween. I was walking through the nighttime watching the trick or treaters, and for some reason, I was with my Aunt and my Grandmom. The beginning part of the dream was black and white. At the very end of a long street, there was an offline roller coaster, which was strange, and going down the middle of the street was this huge "market place" thingy with a bunch of stands filled with food. And for some reason, all the food was cold, like everything was supposed to be "Sushi". I walked up and took this ham-looking stuff (which apparently was Russian) and ate it. It tasted awesome! (Usually in my dreams, all food tastes the same, horrible taste) Soon, my relatives disappeared and I appeared with my friends, Justin and Grace. We started walking around the dark streets talking about random stuff, and we found a big group of our friends and started walking with them. I heard a strange, disembodied voice say "I wonder who your subconscious is". (I now realize that this might have been my subconscious, that also may have appeared in my old dream with Allison) I then remembered I could summon things, so I summoned that girl, Allison. She didn't say anything, she just walked with us. (I only noticed her twice more in the dream) Soon, everyone but Justin and Grace disappeared again, and I was in the backyard of a bunch of little kids, which were Justin's little siblings and their friends. They gave me some of their Halloween candy and I walked out. Justin was now gone. It was me and Grace. It was getting late, so she told me to come back to her place. As soon as she said that, I had woken up the next morning in a different bed, with her next to me. (:byodood:) I almost woke up, but stayed in the dream thanks to the handrubbing. We had a short conversation, and I walked outside to see where we were. There was this small expanse of desert. To the left was this huge tunnel that led back to the streets where we were last night. We walked outside and she soon disappeared. I walked back to the streets through the tunnel. I saw my dad in his car, and apparently he had to drive me somewhere, so I got in. He had some kind of shortcut, but he got lost, then had an emotional breakdown and fell asleep. I looked at him in bewilderment, but then I picked him up and put him in the backseat. Then I started driving the car, and after I went over a nearby hill (we were offroad at this point) I found myself in the middle of a railway track, so I drove off the other side. There was this guy standing there, and he asked for a ride, so I let him in and drove away. I drove my dad home, then walked back to the original neighborhood with that guy and he walked off to his house. It was night time again. It immediately switched to a cinematic, third person view thing of him the next morning walking through the neighborhood shooting all of my friends. It then switched back to my view. I was on the ground in the desert next two to mean-looking guys holding guns. I stood up and the original kid was there. I pretended to get shot, and fell to the ground, and as I was falling I heard a shot go right over my face. I lay there playing dead on the ground and they all walked away. He went on to make and army and take over the whole place. I rounded up my surviving friends, and it turned into some type of war. I was holding my friend's airsoft gun that I had seen yesterday (which was cool). We started shooting people, it got boring, then I woke up. I had this dream and woke up at 7:45. It's about 8:30 now. I had to write down the dream, type some of it, then take a break and watch some youtube, so that's why it took so long. Also, sorry for the longness. Everything seemed A LOT more fun in-dream, but I wanted to copy this down anyway.
I had a weird dream on Thursday night. It concerned me getting ready for college as usual, except one of my little sister's friends was outside the door, just looking in. I didn't think anything of it, and i'd probably just let my sister get it. But then, to my surprise, the little girl simply evaporated from outside the door, and recorporealised in the kitchen, sitting on a chair. To this, I yelped a cry of shock and horror, for reasons I still don't know. And then when I was back in my bedroom, I realised that the view I usually see from the window was slightly different, which is when I remembered it was a dream. I tried to exert control over my dream, and attempted to make something sexy appear, but all that happened was that my heartbeat increased and I fizzled back into the waking world. It really sucks when I end up booting myself out of the dream like that, it's almost as if my subconcious is cockblocking me... Maybe it's jealous, and I should try to evoke it next time I dream, so I can show it the love I probably should have a long time ago.
First and Second post should be flipped.
well, last night was a gooooooood sleep. I slept from 2:30 to 11:00. 11:00 on the dot, with no alarm. K, our internal clock never ceases to amaze. I woke up for wild both times I set my alarm for it, plus two or three more times. I tried wild three times, and one of them was the closest Ive ever gotten. I felt THE DISTINCT feeling that I was walking, every step I felt with amazing detail. Then I thought "wait am I walking?" and snapped back to awareness. I have never made it to the end of wild, where you can walk into a dream immediately lucid, but Ive fallen into dream images and went semi-lucid. I only remember two fragments. I was playing World of Tanks, and drove my T-28 on top of an IS4 I went to college and ended up getting expelled because I blew up a water tower with a nuclear grenade launcher. [editline]6th November 2010[/editline] I fucking hate my mom  First thing I hear from her mouth this morning is BLA BLA BLA U HAV TURRIBLE WURK ETHIKS ULL NEVAR GO ANYWHERE IN LIFE U FAILING SKOOL BLA BLA FUCKITY BLA. good day = ruined
just took the SAT again. now i'm off to nap.
D0C H, your current avatar makes me sad. :saddowns:
Aw, man. I've been trying to LD for about a week or so now. Just now I realized I had been lucid the whole time, probably. I was reading here and when beefbars mentioned the hand rubbing technique, I remembered doing it at some point and a tingling sensation along with the memory. I must have gone lucid last night, but I don't remember anything after lucidity. And, my bed covers were all messed up and completely off my bed when I woke up. Damn, I gotta work on dream recall. Need some bananas. :saddowns:
I had a dream the other night that I was a Terminator, shooting up a police station. It felt real, but I didn't feel like I was in control. This is probably because I just watched Terminator again the other night. Probably the scariest part for me was that every time I got shot by a cop, I was filled with rage and almost taken over by the need to terminate him. Even though being an invincible killer robot has always been a personal fantasy of mine, this was...different. I'm not sure I liked it.
D0C H, your current avatar makes me sad. :saddowns:
Im sorry. But I am sad.
Had a really bizarre series of dreams last night all based on the theme of travelling. First I was travelling around on a train, then saying goodbye to my dad who was setting off somewhere on a plane, then I was hot-air-ballooning from south England to South Africa and ended up in Portugal. Then I was travelling to a music ensemble event, the street I was walking on turning into a shop interior. I then encountered The Doctor (referred to as "The Lonely Traveller"). Stepping outside the shop, I saw trekkers returning from their travels, walking up the street in waterproofs and backpacks. This is really bizarre O.o
I think I had my first lucid dream. I woke up this mourning and tried to go back to sleep. I went to sleep and for some reason I thought oh im dreaming and then my heart started racing and beating really fast. I rubbed my hands together and focused on what I saw seeing in my dream. Then I appeared in my football locker room and there was a girl in there, I thought how do I wake up from a lucid dream and walked over to ask her. I then woke up. This was a lucid dream right?
i guess so, yeah
I want to lucid dream
I want to lucid dream
That's usually all it takes. Add that attitude in with good dream recall (Trust me, get'sta dream journalin'.) and you'll have one in no time flat.
So can I just explain my dreaming/sleep situation and get feedback?
Okay boys. Say that I had an alarm clock that repeated "you're in a dream" over and over again. Nothing to loud or to soft. Would that be enough for me to realize that I'm dreaming?
Cool. :D I haven't had more than two good dreams in my entire life. Ever since I can remember, I've had horrible nightmares. When I get more sleep, they're worse. I have them on a regular, nightly basis. When I get an especially terrifying one, I'll write it down.
