Muhh. I hate fake lucids. I was in the middle of a dream last night, sat in a random sitting room and the dream character said next to me "Oh, you're dreaming." I RC'd and got really excited and started to feel hyperaware. "You're right," I replied. However, I thought that the room I sat in was reality, and I was aware of a vague film around me that suggested that I was sleeping, and it was the layer of sleep between myself and the reality of the room. After a moment of trying to hold this fake lucidity, I sat upright and everything suddenly felt very clear. I was aware that I'd "woken up" and lost the lucidity. Stupid dream.
Damn it was a while since I visited this thread. I should start trying to get lucid again. Okay, if I by any chance go lucid tonight, HOVER CARS!
Note to everyone here. If a movie came out two days ago, don't go download the fucking torrent. Wait a month. [editline]18th November 2010[/editline] I woke up for WILD last night. ......... then I went back to sleep :damn: [editline]18th November 2010[/editline] wait...... will they cut you some slack if you actually bought it?

That one was shit too, 'cept all i got was a letter from Charter
I once had this dream that I was lying on a bed, naked and crying. I wasn't exactly me, either. I was kind of in third person, viewing myself through my own eyes but not as if it was me. I wasn't myself physically, either. I first noticed this when I moved and long, dark hair moved across my breasts. I couldn't stop crying and all I felt was just the worst kind of sadness, and I don't know why. I remember that I was in a small flat, where the bedroom door opened directly onto the kitchen, and there was a fridge just beyond it. When I woke up I found that I had been crying in real life, and I felt like I had to help this girl somehow, but I couldn't. I also seemed to know her somehow, even though I'd never met her in my life.

I was hoping to post 2 incidents, good thing is, it's sleep related, so I'll just post it here. It was a trip to Indonesia, visiting my family and staying in a house my family use to live. Might've been 5 years ago or so. One night supposedly, I don't know what, but my mum said that I was crying, saying some stuff or something, can't remember. Maybe it was sleep walk. This other one was just a year ago, visiting more family in australia. We(me, my bro, my dad and my step-sis and her kids) stopped at a motel of some sort. After an hour or so waiting for my dad to pick up dinner. It was thai food (added this just in case of relevance). Then we went to bed. The next morning, my dad and my step-sis claimed I was crying, and that I asked them "where was I" while at it. This was definitely sleep walk. Zin if you may.
Woah. Messed up apocalyptical dream last night. I was at a party and someone told me that in hours, these massive prehistoric-like creatures/bugs would descend and attack, massacring the nation. I wasn't too alarmed, but a little concerned, and me and my friends began trying to find places we could hide, resulting in us wandering into a random school. A teacher took pity on us and told us what that particular school did at times like this: hide in an underground basement within steel cages, so even if they were found by the monsters, they couldn't attack. They'd only have to withstand for two weeks, because that was when the monsters went away again. So I made a shoddy version of the cage in my garage. It was really badly built and, within seconds, these creatures descended, shot through the cat flap and were dragging people away kicking and screaming. Two week monster plague. Way to go, imagination >.<
My brain now has the power to turn a normal dream into a Silent Hill-ish world with just a piece of paper. Should I be worried?
Waddya mean?
In real life, do you have breasts?
I'm male so no. FYI I wasn't male in the dream - it was like seeing through someone else's eyes.
Dead animals started breaking there way through the ground as zombie animals, in a bleak english country, the colour palette was the same as in the film 'Children of Man' and the setting was similar, it was really foggy, on a cliffside farm. I was an old, living Alaskan Malamute and charged with protecting three children from the large quantities of zombie dogs, wolves emerging from the ground, along with my farmer owner who was wielding a shotgun. A truck pulls up to save the children but me and the farmer stayed to fight off the zombie dogs. Dream switches into a cinematic epilogue showing myself fighting many wolves to the death whilst a voice reads a story about how I heroically fought for three days and night against the evil wolves, eventually plunging over the cliff with a pack leader into the fog-covered rocks and sea below.
In one of my dreams me and some friends were wondering around some place and I find a piece of paper with X's on it. I take a pencil and draw another X on it and suddenly........ Fuck.
Suddenly fuck? Sorry, I've had only the slightest experience with Silent Hill, so you'll have to be more specific Also, everyone else's dreams are cool too. I don't have anything to say, I just thought you guys should know people are reading them.
I decided to go rooting around in my dream journal, and dug up several dreams which I found of interest and decided to post them here. Interpretation would be nice, but its more of a decent read then anything else, I suppose.
1. I was at my school. I was able to slide easily on any surface, except rugs. I was wearing my boots (I don't usually). After sliding around school hallways for a while, and occasionally spotting the TF2 Engineer, in both Red and Blu, sometimes Uber'd, I went to the main entrance/lobby. I slid in from the East wing, first floor. I stumbled on the rug in front of the doors. The doors to the staircase were not there. I heard someone call one of my friend's name, and I saw her, and called louder. She either ignored or didn't hear me, and ran up the stairs with a rush of other people. She was next to a really fat kid. There was something happening that day relating to pictures or school photos or something. Sliding around was fun. 2. (I'm not sure why, but this one really interests me) I was watching from the point of view of an overhead camera. I was playing a game, very similar to The Legend of Zelda (Oracle of Seasons gameboy version). It was possibly in a courtyard, with 4 doors. Each door lead to either the Chocolate King, Gold King, Ice King, and Bubblegum Queen. I had to give each of the royal members their respective item. For example, Chocolate King gets Chocolate, and so on. I do not remember if they gave me items after I gave them their respective item, but the Ice King I know gave me a "Regen Sword." The sword's description said "It scares enemies into walking into it, all damage regenerates your health." I heard myself whisper "Dumbasses." I walked out, and saw I was missing health. I wanted to try the sword, but there were no enemies. I used the bubblegum to heal (this was before I knew the Bubblegum Queen was next). I then finally went to the Bubblegum Queen last, but I did not have the Bubblegum, since I had just "used" the item. After looking at the Queen, I woke up. 3. Me and my good friend were at some sort of event dedicated to an important rich person, possibly a king of some sort. We had to leave some sort of gift, possibly money, and deposit it in a box in front of the important man/figure. The box looked like the jukebox from Minecraft, and when I went to put the donation in, a menu similar to Minecraft opened, with only 1 box to put stuff in. It had 30 or 40 something of a green thing, which was what I put 3 of in the box. I bowed to the royalty person, hoping he wouldn't get suspicious since me and my friend just stole a bunch of valuable shit from him, though I don't remember what. He was with his guard, and after we bowed we left. We went outside, and it was snowing hard. Next thing I know we're speeding down train tracks, hooked onto a train while lying prone on a platform thing. There were 3 parallel tracks. I was on the middle track, my friend to my left. We were going down the tracks really fast, and it was pretty awesome. Occasionally me and my friend would shout to each other. There was some sort of speed adjustment bar on the platform thing. Eventually a train started riding up behind me and I sped up. Then I guess some point between me hooking on and a train riding up on me I dislodged from the train I hooked on. Eventually after speeding up I caught up with the train. Then eventually the train got derailed and the back cart almost crushed me (it was very similar to the scene from Metro 2033 where Artyom is speeding down a track, flips over, and almost gets crushed). I rolled away and the train and my platform thing sped off without me. I guess the same thing happened to my friend, and we stood next to each other, and I screamed "Nooooo dammit!" By then it stopped snowing. We looked around, and there was an American flag, a bunch of sticks, and a log lying in the snow. I got the flag and log, my friend picked up the sticks and we started walking down the tracks. I remember thinking of using the flag as a sort of sled. Then I woke up.
I'm leaving for the weekend and when I get home I have internet access, but before I go I specifically saw my name somewhere in a post... I've done it before. When I did it, I asked my parents for a hamburger and then that turned into a nightmare about being eaten by a giant hamburger. Anyway, you probably were dreaming, started sleepwalking, realized you weren't in your bed, and got dream confused.
Yay for the ticker, i completely forgot about this thread after v1 got closed. Thanks to ticker i saw a post made here and found this place again. Second post to op seems quite interesting and different too.
This thread is about dreams and sleeping.
This thread is about dreams and sleeping.
Your nick and post match perfectly.
Your nick and post match perfectly.
No shit, it's a gimmick. [editline]19th November 2010[/editline] I saw a dream that me and some others were exploring a cavern. And when we were about to come out, an angel stopped me and said that I'd have to stay there to repent what evils I've done, and handcuffed me to a wall. The rest left. After 10 years had passed, the cuffs had rusted so I could break them with sheer force. I came back to the real world and it seems everyone had thought I was dead. I went back to my home, but my father wasn't there. He had apparently died when I was 31 years old (currently 21) from "lung failure due to smoking" and "because he stretched his testicles too much" (wtf).
I had an interesting dream last night. I don't remember much of it, though. I wasn't lucid at all. I tried near the end, but I woke up and had to go to school soon, so I didn't try to get back into it. I was in some type of resort hotel, not the one in previous dreams though. Outside of it, there was this industrial factory area, which had this huge fenced off area with a bunch of dead bodies inside of it. I didn't want to look in since I had never seen a dead person before. The view immediately switched to some dude lifting up the bodies and putting them in shopping carts, while laughing hysterically with some friends, like in some type of video game. I then realized that they were plastic dummies, so I threw them around. Some more stuff happened, but I forget what. The next part I remember was my neighbor getting kidnapped. Her dad and brother told me to get into their van to try to save her (Keep in mind, I have no attraction to her at all, so this doesn't mean anything about girls that I like). We drove and full speed into the factory and jumped out the side, which was awesome. We then stealthily moved through the factory while climbing on walls, which was also fun. One of the workers caught me, then I woke up. I fell asleep in about a second, tried to stay in the dream, but then woke up for good. I BETTER START REMEMBERING ALL OF MY DREAMS AGAIN!

Thoughts?
Day 5 posted, after a long long time Excuse me for taking so long or if it becomes babbling, I did most of it on my phone in school in between classes Enjoy.
mankind is happy once again
Hello again, sleep and dreams megathread v2. I have had total of 3 or 4 lucid dreams, and i reaally would want to master lucid dreaming. (I mean, i have not had a lucid dream in over a month.) I am really lazy to practice reality checks. When im doing WILD, I just fall asleep. When im doing MILD, it doesnt really seem to have an effect. Basically, most of lucids i have had were all RILD's. So, give me some instructions on how can i get started. what should i practice first, etc.

Gonna go sleep now. Hoping that if I get a WILD it won't end in a terrifying horror attack like the past three times.

Which is why generally sleeptalk is completely ridiculous. Not only is it dream logic, which is awful, but it's inbetween two dreamlogic states. I'm coining the phrase dreamlogic now.

Last night, I had a dream where I was playing TF2 with a portal gun. It actually looked a bit like the gmod 9 portals. I'm coining the phrase dreamlogic now.
