I keep having dreams of my old classmates, at 3 times a week minimum.
Lol, one of those crazy dreams I had today. I wake up in some tavern. The time is around Middle Ages. I stand up and put on my clothes. They were white and looked just like Ezio's Assassin Robes from Assassin's Creed 2. I found it weird only when I woke up. So anyway, some guy tells me about camp of bandits and robbers not far from the town I was in. Then I find myself near the camp. It's around midnight, even a bit later. So I start crawling around the camp and stealing random goods I find. I recall killing a couple of men in their beds because they were about to wake up (I took my scimitar-looking knife and stabbed into the throat, that's what I get after watching too much Saw 7 and playing Black Ops). Then I end up going inside Chieftan's tent. He wasn't sleeping, moving around. After I got into his chest and took all his money off it, I hear him going around already knowing someone's disturbing his place. So I pick up the revolver which looked like the .357 model from Fallout: New Vegas, and start shooting him. I shot him twice in the chest, aiming for heart, then shot him between his eyes. He was still alive. I was like "Holy fucking hell what the fuck is that?". That's where I realise I was asleep, so I gained control over my dream. Here I thought of him exploding with a grenade, which happened, but strangely enough noone has noticed that. I start sneaking up through the camp, watching around for any chicks. I found one, which looked like an Indian, mid 20's. I threathened her with death if she won't fuck with me. So then she gave me a blow job, we were about to fuck when I noticed my dad coming out of nowhere. I couldn't actually believe my eyes, so I ran off from the place and then I woke up. Holy fuck this is so unbelievable I'm still wondering.
Wait so you got lucid but the dream didn't lose stability? Dayum.
What you mean?
What you mean?
Like, your vision didn't become blurry, the dream didn't start 'collapsing', you didn't lose control and drift back into a regular dream where you sorta forget you're lucid. It usually happens when you get carried away and don't remember to keep in mind that you actually have to focus a bit at all times in a lucid dream, otherwise it starts collapsing. Easy way to regain stability is to stare at something and think out loud that you're in control of everything etc.
Note to everyone here. If a movie came out two days ago, don't go download the fucking torrent. Wait a month. On the plus side, I do now own Scott Pilgrim.
I have a heap of production release movies that haven't even hit cinemas yet.. like 100+ movies or so( Although most are out now but they weren't when I got them ).. You must have just been incredibly unlucky.

Like I said, I lost the control of the dream after I saw my dad in it.
You know what sucks sometimes in a dream. When you try to summon something you know you could only summon in a dream, but not become lucid one bit :smith: [sp]I saw two guys fighting with keyblades, so I thought of summoning mine and firing a laser at one of them[/sp]
You know what sucks sometimes in a dream. When you try to summon something you know you could only summon in a dream, but not become lucid one bit :smith: [sp]I saw two guys fighting with keyblades, so I thought of summoning mine and firing a laser at one of them[/sp]
Summoning or creating or spawning anything rarely works if you stare at it or wish for it to manifest straight into your hand. Try to think that behind that corner there's a locker with the desired item in it. Or if it's a person or a creature make it come from behind a corner. It's really hard to visualize or think how would it feel if something suddenly came to be, so you've got to think of a more mundane way of getting things you want. I usually think a few steps ahead, if I want a weapon it's waiting for me in the corner where I'm going to temporarily retreat, then I can get back to whoever. That is if I actually feel like getting a weapon, most of the time I just make then disappear like everything does in GTA III if you turn around momentarily.
GOOD NIGHT, ALL. GOING TO LD IF ITS THE LAST THING I DO.
I went lucid :pervert: ...too bad I dont remember most of it... I think the reason I went lucid is that I heard music (I started leaving the radio on while I sleep) ...didnt last too long, at least I dont think so... all in all, thats a total of 7 ld's for me.
nice! I wish I had 7, but I think you've been doing it a bit longer. lets play post your ld amount and a general summary. 4 and it's been extremely different every single time. 1st time I felt compelled to catch a wise rabbit, 2nd I summoned my sub and she was shapeshifting because I wanted a form I could be comfortable with, 3rd I was greeted by a fairy (my sub) and it knocked me out of the dream when I asked a question, and 4th was that goddamn awful tv and voice. [editline]21st November 2010[/editline] I've noticed my writing is very lazy online.
Hey zin, what's with all these false lucid dreams I keep getting? It's quite annoying knowing I'm dreaming but not having any control. Also my girl friend seems to appear in them and hint/tell me I'm dreaming, that of any significance?
Last night I had a dream (what a shock I know) where I got a 2TB SSD (that I was actually looking at before I went to bed, also is $8,000ish) somehow and attempted to install it on my computer. After doing so, I turn on my computer and wait for the POST to finish. The computer can't find any of my hard drives, even though I didn't remove any when installing the new one. And then I decided it was a dream and woke up in disappointment. The end.
If you really want to go hardcore you should go pick up some vitamin b6. I don't recommend messing around with supplements a lot (too much vitamin b can cause nerve damage, I hear) but people that use it say it makes their dreams super vivid. Not sure if you already keep a dream journal or not; if you don't, do it. There are days when I really couldn't remember much at all about my dreams, and simply picking up my dream journal/pencil got the ball rolling. If you think your sub doesn't want you having lucid dreams, don't try to fight it. Remember, your sub is you. Convince yourself that it's something positive. Not only do you want it, it's within reach. Take my advice with a grain of salt, though. I read up on this stuff a lot, but I've really only had so many lucid dreams. I feel like I'm really close, though...
Actually, I tried some Vitamin B6, and sadly, didn't so much as remember my dream. I used to keep a dream journal, but after a week of no dreams gave up on it; i'll give it a try again. and the reason I don't think my sub wants me to is because of the dream I posted a while back. I slept in from school, making me miss first hour, and had a dream where I was staying home from school, which really makes me think my sub was screwing with me(though it sounds kind of stupid, even to myself). And I DO think of lucid dreaming as a positive, the only possible negative I can think of is if it turns into a nightmare, but even then it's not like there's a huge chance of that happening, and I could probably change it. I really don't know what's holding me back.

Perhaps there's something that needs to be shown you in your dreams that you wouldn't be able to see if you had the power to go "Fuck this, let's fly". If you know you're dreaming, but are not driving it along, it puts you in a position where you can see a lot of things you couldn't see or interpret otherwise.
My sub just texts me saying Im dreaming. ...either that or lets me hear little chunks of music from my radio... [editline]21st November 2010[/editline] ...but I have to do things for him first. like actually doing homework... hhhnnnggg
Here's a dream I had last night. I was in my karate dojo, only everything was now like a gymnastics training arena, complete with a gigantic (not deep, only large) pool, which is filled with pillows used in gymnastics training. (couldn't find a picture of it, I'll try and keep searching, but hopefully you understand what I mean) Me, and a lot of kids my age in my school were there running around and jumping in the pillows. Anyways, here's what happened. I can't remember what happened exactly up until one point where I flashed white with anger and punched a guy I really fucking hate twice in the face. One hook shot to his right chin and followed by a knuckle-breaking punch to the face, knocking him down (possibly out, because that was such a good feeling I had to change my pants when I woke up). Anyways, I remember going on some sort of rampage, but I felt a small fear that he might avenge himself. This is caused by something I did in the 7th grade, I punched him once in the stomach because he was hassling my friend and I was sick of me and my friends being hassled by popular people. He threatened to kick my ass (actually, he never said he'd do it, he said he'd round up some guys and have them beat me up, and for this I have called him a pussy ever since.) but nothing happened. I taunted him billions of times, which was kind of stupid for me, but nothing happened. I thought he'd kick my ass for this, but all he did was follow me around and push me slightly. Then I woke up, with the biggest smile ever. tl;dr I had a dream in a gymnastics arena where I punched my nemesis cold in 2 punches, thought he would have me killed for it, but all he did was push me around for it. Does this mean that I'll get a decent chance to get rid of him once and for all and I won't get in trouble for it? Because if so then that is fucking awesome!

I'm pretty sure that's the problem my sub's having; it wants to tell me something, but it's waiting for me to get lucid. It's been a week, and I still haven't gotten lucid enough. Kinda sucks.
Zin must get stretched thin from everyone asking for him to analyze. I try to read everyone's posts because I like this topic. I don't really mind who does, but could someone take a bit to look at mine? I don't really know what to take from it, other than I scared the hell out of myself. For reference, I don't have any internal or external conflict. My life is fairly silky right now, but I don't know what's up with that dream. It's the first nightmare I've had in years.
So do we just post our dreams here? Last night I dreamed I got fucked up with some friends, and we took a giant greyhound-esque bus home. On the way, our bus got pulled over by the police. I was freaking out, because I thought I was going to get arrested. Turns out we were the the Boston Red Sox and the cops just sprayed us with water guns because they were Yankees fans.
Nah dude, I love analyzing people's dreams. I'm just REALLY busy right now. Juggling therapists and lawsuits and whatnot.
Nightmares don't necessarily mean anything. Or perhaps something is playing on your mind even if you are not consciously aware of it. If this dream or a nightmare similar do not reoccur any time soon, you should just be able to discount it as a random event. Hell, I've never been able to match my nightmares with any current events, only my lifelong phobias.
i remember having a dream a while back where i could see myself in third person on my bed, as my blanket was rising up off me. i could feel wind blowing on me and my house was raising off the ground into the sky i could actaully feel this shit it was weird as hell

It could theoretically be that on some level, you believe your sub is something to be afraid of, so it manifested itself as such, possibly to get you over it? Dunno, subs do have a tendency to try to freak people out to deal with fears, but other than the obvious Saw reference you made, I'm not sure what fear that would be other than the fear of your sub, which as far as I can tell by your writing doesn't fit. Could be anything, I guess. If it happens again, just try to stay calm, and you find something out. Or it could just be that your sub doesn't want to be seen. In that case, I would suggest finding some other way to communicate, like Birdman and his texts. Or just a disembodied voice, I guess. My sub hasn't decided on a method, so I'm kinda in this boat... though I try to let my sub just do whatever, so I haven't tried making it appear; it just does if it wants. Oh, and as for the list and number of LDs, I wouldn't know where to start. Manipulating reality has always been an interest of mine, so it shows up in my dreams alot. I honestly don't know if that makes me lucid, though; I usually know I'm dreaming if stuff like that works, but I don't think to do anything with that knowledge, so I guess in those cases it's more semi-lucid. It was really since I started coming here that I got more lucid and tried more stuff. Think I've had about 12 dreams of note (in the past 2 or 3 months). Slightly less for LDs (9?). Of course, if it was the same night, I included it as the same dream, so probably a little more; again, lucid dreams aren't new to me, so I've had a bit of experience with them. Speaking of which I have a dream to post, but I STILL HAVEN'T POSTED THAT LD FROM A MONTH AGO> God, it had so many cats... I'm gonna need some help interpreting once I post it. Edit: Screw it, I'm writing it up; I've got time. Homework can go back to hell where it belongs... Edit 2: Disregard that, I suck cocks; I figured I would put on some music, then two hours later I was like WHAT THE HELL Guess I'll write it another day... fml
Nah dude, I love analyzing people's dreams. I'm just REALLY busy right now. Juggling therapists and lawsuits and whatnot.
I understand bro don' worry be happy. Can you deny the allegations? What proof do they have other than looking at your hard drive?
Heh, had a strange dream. Woke up. put dream into ipod notes. went back to sleep. woke up. checked dream notes. i dont have an ipod.
Nice, dude. K, I got a new plan for lucid dreaming. I'm going to get an IV machine, and set it to give me a mixture of B6 supplement and melatonin every 45 minutes when I sleep. Now I can haz super dreams! U jelly?

I think what you're saying with the fear thing makes sense for me. I'll see what I can do in the future!
I just went and enjoyed some cotton candy and popcorn with K. gotta love WILD naps... ...and carnivals, which apparently is my happy place now. [editline]21st November 2010[/editline] damn. I want some popcorn now. brb, life.
While I wait for someone to answer me in the Elder Scrolls thread, I'll answer questions directed at me. *Ctrl+F zin* [editline]22nd November 2010[/editline]
Hey zin, what's with all these false lucid dreams I keep getting? I personally suggest changing it, but that's a topic for another time. It just means you're not doing reality checks. Once you think you're dreaming but you can't control it, do an RC. Force your brain to put you in the driver's seat. Do some RC's, use the hand staring trick to make everything clearer, then just try to DO stuff. If this is your first LD that you have full control in, you might not be able to control a lot without waking yourself up. If that's the case, I suggest letting the dream flow normally, but test the boundaries. Try to jump really high, or lower the gravity. Keep doing RC's to reinforce how it feels. You can do it, it just takes time.
I keep having dreams about girls I've liked, or still do like. This is pissing me off because I don't want to remember them. What does 'sub' mean? I've seen it being talked about in this thread. And how does one find the 'sub'?
