Sleep and Dreams Megathread v2 - General

Could Zin or someone please help me with this?, Iv tried for a while now doing MILD with my mantra as "I am dreaming" or " I will relise i am dreaming" and its not working to well, any advise here? :saddowns:

MILD is often something that at least I find needs to be supplemented. Perhaps spend some time reading over lucid dreaming to help the RILD aspect of it, or combine it with WILD? Also keep eating them banana and peanut butter sandwiches :D

I've gotta go to the brain doctor again today. When i get back I'll go back five pages and start answering every question.

Holy crap, yes. I got tickets to Almost Acoustic Christmas. A Day to Remember, Switchfoot, Anberlin, The Dirty Heads, Cake, Bad Religion, Jimmy Eat World, My Chemical Romance, Social Distortion, The Smashing Pumpkins, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Broken Bells, Temper Trap, Neon Trees, Florence & The Machine, The Black Keys, Brandon Flowers, Vampire Weekend, and Phoenix.

I've been having some pretty strange sleep lately Probably because of this illness that's knocking my temperature off, and I'm sure you all know what happens when you mix being too hot and dreaming. Either way, I had a dream a few nights ago that was surprisingly clear, but I kept waking up intermittedly, the problem being that my duvet was a story device for the dream. It was something along the lines of a building or a construct falling apart, and every time I woke up I needed to adjust it and make it better. This was not in a comfort way, this was in a "duty" sort of way. The problem here being that when I really did wake up, I felt compelled to stay in bed because I felt like I physically had something to do, and as I was dehydrated and whatnot it too much longer to come to my senses and realise that I was now in reality. I ended up getting out of bed at around Half past 2 in the afternoon. Another thing I really hate in dreams is this: I was using a U shaped piece of tubing that was about 2 inches think, with me standing on the bottom part, and pulling on the top to fly around and have a ball. I think hellfire missiles came into play also. I ended up crashing and bending it horribly, so I needed to summon another. (This was all none lucid, but I remember being able to think to myself. I also had that visual blurr thing when you lose the effect of a drug on fallout 3 as I woke up, which was weird) I have never summoned anything before so it was weird witnessing it, even when it wasn't technically me. Anyway, the thing I hate; I hopped onto the tube, and it wouldn't fly. I was back into the realm of real physics. :argh:

I tried looking into a mirror in a dream, and when I did, my image was blurry and deforming and I found that scary =/ It was kinda like in Sg-1 season 9 "collateral damage" with memory grafting device.

So, as of recent I havent been able to lucid dream much, or at all really, every time I tried, it would bring apon the usual place, except, it would be in pieces. Like, occasional white spots or holes, that only seem to get bigger. Till one day, everything just sorta...reset. I randomly lucid dreamed again, however. It was a normal dream originally, it was some kind of zombie sequence thing, that suddenly ended when I got to much adrenaline, due to usual reasons, it WAS a zombie dream, after all, strangely, I woke up, only to hear the usual sounds of my bedroom and my brother playing the 360, only to pass out again, into the same dream. Except, it wasnt. First of all, the house was the same, except some oddities. Fireplace not pictured.) Shitty paint re-describing the house. Problem was, although the long glass windows showed an outside, I couldnt open the doors. And the doors windows just showed a blank white, so I did usual checks as I talked with some random man, I tried to push my finger through my hand, I couldn't, oddly enough. No light switches around, so I plugged my nose and tried breathing, and I still could. I knew it, I was lucid. Keeping my calm I asked the man where I was, he shrugged, so I immediately pointed at a spot and said "Dog!" and it brought up my actual pet dog, same with cat. I just kept calling up random objects, before I stated "Subconcious!" before I heard a sound of thunder, I found that weird, but I turned around to be facing some tall woman, had eyes that were so white they looked void, and white hair to look like pure snow, though a image flashed before my eyes, it was a image I saw before on my usual image-sites that I roam, although mostly favoring japanese-animation art, if I find it I'll post it. I looked her straight in the eye before she nailed me in the face. I woke up, but strangely again, it yanked me back in. I was in the same house again, but my subconcious/mystery girl was nowhere to be found, so I quickly found her and stated "You cant get rid of me that easily!" She turned into some kind of sillouette thing, and charged me, the fear of it again woke me up, I sat up, then layed back down before, YET AGAIN, being pulled in. Finally I faced her again, and she slammed me against the chimney of the building, my hands feeling against the carpet of the house as she looked at me strange, wondering why I havent left again. Instinctively I kicked as hard as I could toward her, but she warped-back in a short style, making like a puff of black smoke each time she did this trick. As I stood up I began to feel weak before I collapsed, and again, awoke into reality, but this time I stayed awake. ...I kinda want to go back. Edit: Made it look a bit neater.

I had a dream where I was sitting in the living room and Harry Potter came in all gangsta, he was like "Sup, bitch-ass nigga-ass bread, man, yo?" I was just sitting there and couldn't move, then Harry FUCKING FLOPPED HIS DICK OUT and started walking around the room saying weird things. Then I woke up screaming.

I dreamt that I was playing with the Inception game: -Looked bloody nice (it's hard to dream an ugly game) -The map had a grey, Kowloon city styled architecture ( except buildings were much taller) and it was in the morning, and was really cloudy -It was actually like a Mirrors Edge styled run and jump between rooftops game -There was one place where I couldnt jump far enough (which was actually a border of the track with a huge gap so you couldnt get out of the map)(the real track was straight ahead but I didnt realize that until I woke up) -While I was falling down (like 500 meters down into the grey, narrowing hole between old and cheaply built Chinese high-rise buildings) the camera always rotated around me and it became very confusing, and I woke up that I have a headache Actually, there was hardly anything in it which was in Inception too.

i keep on having dreams where i fall in love or almost fall in love with the perfect woman, getting on my nerves that i'll never feel the same about a real life woman...other then thats theyr about movies i watched b4 i go to bed and transformers... once had a dream i was a girl getting raped as well, good times... im a man and i know what it feels like to have a vag, awesome? i think so.

Posting my dream: I was outside an urban airport, the grass was green, sidewalks clean and the sky was sunny, everything seemed ideal, and I was with my family. My family acted as if I just appeared there, and asked me for help installing Ubuntu into that airport (???). I helped by putting a orange floppy disk which, presumably had Ubuntu on it, into a blue mailbox on a street corner. After I did that, the world transformed into a sort of Arabic Desert, everyone was wearing turbans and females were wearing hjiabs or whatever they're called. I saw a tall, phallic shaped building where the main airport building used to be. A bunch of Arabian police appeared and started beating people with stun batons. I started to walk into the phallice building, and I walked up several floors, on the final floor was 'the captain', I had quick smalltalk with him, then quickly killed him (don't remember how). Then I woke up.

There was another about peeing in the shower, but I doubt that was as important. I took the boxes of boxes to mean that a search for Fraggy Sue would be going around in circles, as also evidenced by the bait-and-switch of the black guy, and Mortal Kombat I guess was about my sub testing my might? I think I'll need some help with the rest.

Most of my dreams are incredibly random to be honest. Once, I dream't that I was actually in Dead Space with a few kids from my school, and I was the only one who survived.
