I remember we were out of power at our store for most of the day once. Our backup generators are powerful enough to run half our lights and our computer systems for 24 hours. I was thoroughly impressed and disappointed that I didn't get to go home.

When I was working at Walmart a while ago, we had to empty the freezers every time we were out of power because they couldn't afford or didn't want to buy an emergency generator.

I love my job and all my coworkers and this is a friendly and motivating experience!

Honestly, because I work at a really small Walmart everything is super lax. My coworkers are all really friendly, and management isn't too bad. The store manager is a nice guy. Plus I'm store standards, if I get any really nasty people asking me for help I can pass them off to someone else
