Did anyone else in Vancouver feel an earthquake?
I'm late but yeah I felt it, the SkyTrain was shut down when I was trying to get home from work (11:55pm or something). Had a refreshing walk in the bitter cold down to Main Street to get a ride home.
Happy New Year!!! Might be because I wasn't right there, but the view of the fireworks near the CN Tower seemed a bit lackluster.
There. Done.
Man I guess it may be me coming from a small town, but not hearing fireworks in a city on newyears disturbs me.
Shit, I just got the password change screen and figured I'd been banned for something. Turns out I just got the password shit
TTC fares went up 25 cents and the tokens bought in bulk went up 10 cents, welp. And apparently 2016 is the last year for metropasses, afterwards it's all going to be on Presto. Finally, less cards in my wallet and hopefully easier everything.
$3 wasn't enough? I'm still too used to smaller town $2.25
http://www.awcoupon.ca/en Wow, this is gonna be useful
$3 wasn't enough? I'm still too used to smaller town $2.25
Not as bad as York region where it's $4
Not as bad as York region where it's $4
That's ridiculous. I don't take transit currently and these prices certainly aren't making me want to.
That's ridiculous. So you can basically go all the way to Lake Simcoe to Finch station for $6. Although it's going to take forever, if you're willing to save the whatever it would cost to take a coach bus or train. And it's better than nothing, otherwise you'd have to drive or get a ride. Or bike, but when the distance is too much, it's gonna suck. I basically have to take it every day, but I'm on the TTC instead. Thank god I don't have to pay for YRT/VIVA ($4) and TTC on the same trip direction. The frequency on YRT is typically half an hour while VIVA is the "express" route.
Is Presto going to be cheaper though, in terms of 5 times a week xcommute.
Yes, you can also buy the tokens in bulk which is the same price as using Presto. It's just that it went up 10 cents in the beginning of 2016. https://ttc.ca/Fares_and_passes/Fare_information/Presto_Fare_System/index.jsp Problem is that right now you're better off using tokens if you want to get onto a bus. You'd still need to get a paper transfer from the subway station too. The buses don't have Presto card readers right now.
Remembered something from a while ago; I found Waldo. There's a wooden cutout of him on Wolfe Island's Ferry Launch to Kingston.
Has anyone else seen that stupid "Double Rainbow" lottery scratch-card ad. What compelled them to make that with such a stupid, old meme?
I'll miss the metropass anyway, it works great for sharing, and for multiple routes in the same day.
You would still be able to buy an unlimited monthly pass, it's probably going to be stuck on your presto card tho which technically can be shared but not in the sense with a presto and metropass. Since it's the last year metropasses will exist, apparently TTC is making them "limited edition" with special whatever design or pics on it.
Okay, it was the the unlimited part I was after, so I'm pretty relived.
If they got rid of unlimited monthly passes, some people would end up getting/using cars instead. Well there is still technically "limits" to the unlimited monthly passes tho.

I realized all the male highschool students aren't paying their own insurance, it's in the hundreds to insure them.
Went to my date at 11am, came back at 10:30pm. I feel like it went pretty well, wonderful girl. Now to hope she thinks the same as me :^)
Did you two fuck? Please tell me you fucked.
Did you two fuck? Please tell me you fucked.
The man must have answers!
You brought it up man, now we need to know
Fucks were not had. She's a Korean student and she's been in Montreal for less than 2 months so I wanted to take it easy with her nomsayin' She told me I made her happy though so hopefully that means something.

I'm cool with paying $95/month liability only with no extras to drive my car. Too bad that's $150/month in Vancouver.
Anybody coming to Blue Mountains for skiing or snowboarding?
