If you're in Calgary like the OP says I don't blame you, this place sucks. Can't wait until I'm out too. What degree are you getting anyway?
Yeah, I'm in Calgary and it sucks. I could list infinite reasons why Vancouver is better, but one thing I noticed when I was there is that people were very independent. I didn't feel awkward when I was sitting alone at a restaurant because other people were doing the same thing. I like to be able to just do my own thing by myself, but still have other people around me. I always feel awkward when I do stuff alone in Calgary for some reason. I'm working on Computer Science degree. I've been doing some research and it seems like there are quite a few video game/software companies (such as Microsoft) in Vancouver, my only worry is that I won't have enough experience to actually get a job after I graduate. I only have 2 years left until I graduate assuming I pass all my classes :)

They really increase your chance of getting a job after university, as well as raising your starting pay by an average of 7 grand. My first job in our program at Dalhousie is at Lockheed Martin!

My school website has almost no information on internships so I'm not even really sure where to begin. The problem I have is that after a year of working as an intern, I won't want to go back to being broke at school :v:
You better hope that's not contingent on the F-35 purchase.
Nah, what I do is contingent on the refit of the Halifax class frigates so it's all good.
I love how the CVA's have like 8 games that they just kinda cycle through.

My uncle was a seaman (ah, the jokes) and knew the security officer, and we got to take a tour of the boat. I got a funky can of Coke from the Persian Gulf written in Arabic. Maybe 2nd only to the Chinese can I kept in sheer funkiness. The city-class are solid ships, no doubt - it's a pity our supply ships are so fucking terrible. Let's not even mention the subs. I look forward to learning more about the unified replacement class for the frigates/destroyers.
Anyone else in Calgary go to the Calgary Comic Con over the weekend? Was so hard not to buy everything that I saw there and the celebrity guests were awesome.

Let's hope they don't run it into the ocean floor on a training mission again. Apparently in the over 10 years we've had our submarines, they've been serviceable for less than a year collectively.

While on the subject, I got this pretty nice shot of downtown Vancouver while I was there (It was actually sunny all week) [t]http://i.imgur.com/siCmbpc.jpg[/t]

That is a very green and even backyard. Except for those weeds.

It's Iced Cappuccino season at Tim Hortons.
It's Iced Cappuccino season at Tim Hortons.
That season ends? I know people who buy them in the dead of January. Hell I don't drink coffee, but I'd buy their frozen fruit smoothies and various slushies from corner stores in the middle of winter.

It's sad.
Iced Coffee all year round, best drink on the menu!

Only the top wad.
Is that all your Crappy Tire money? You should go there and buy a boat with it or something, they'd be pissed.
No, they'd be pissed if you bought like 200 chocolate bars.
