Seriously, going to the Yukon around that time it'll basically already be winter there, and it's cold as fuck up there, so be prepared.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/TEjRlud.jpg[/t] saw this today driving around in calgary lol
I'm really disappointed in and pissed off about all the anti-gun propaganda, and I mean propaganda literally, that the CBC has been running recently. 4 trashy editorialized piles of anti-gun slanted garbage in about 2 weeks. If I wanted slanted, editorialized garbage passed off as news I'd read the Huffington Post or the Toronto Sun, depending on if I wanted to piss myself off with SJWs or FordNation. I expect news from the national broadcaster, not propaganda.

Was buying lunch on my break and I was parked beside this guy who had a pedobear sticker in his window, real classy. I didn't get to see who was actually driving it but meme or not, that's a bit scary, wouldn't let a kid near this shit.

West Vancouver smells of hot garbage today. And the intersection between Park Royal mall and Park Royal village is still a deathtrap. Nearly got hit by a red light runner. [editline]15th September 2016[/editline] Oh and I've been out of my house for two and a half hours and already my phone is at 15% battery life, i seriously need a new phone.

Maybe I should go see this thing.
Anyone at that moon festival thing in Renfrew Park?
Any folks in Toronto who want to hang out for a little bit between the 25th and the 28th? I'm going to be in town looking at apartments and staying in a bad part of town in a 1 star hotel and I think I'll need some kind of outside contact before I go insane.
So I'm in Italy right now and they've got these kickass replica flintlock pistols here that I'd like to buy for display in my room. Thing is I'm not sure how our customs will react when I declare on my return back to Canada. I've searched up the RCMP's regulations on it and it's kinda vague. Anyone have a knowledge on this and on whether or not I'll be okay?

I've heard there's an exception for replicas of antique firearms, but I'm not sure, so it's safer to assume there isn't.
Does that mean technically my airsoft guns are illegal?
Does that mean technically my airsoft guns are illegal?
Airsoft and paintball are exempt because they're over a certain FPS, so they're not "replicas" they're "unregulated firearms." It's really fucking stupid.
I looked it up: if it shoots 366 feet per second or less and looks like a real gun, it's illegal. However, if it shoots between 367 and 500, it's legal. What the fuck? [editline]22nd September 2016[/editline]
These are air guns not powerful enough to cause serious injury or death, but designed to resemble a real firearm with near precision. Replica firearms, except for replicas of antique firearms, are classified as prohibited devices. In particular, some air guns commonly known as air soft guns may fall into this category. These are devices that have a low muzzle velocity and muzzle energy, and that usually discharge projectiles made out of a substance such as plastic or wax rather than metal. An airsoft gun, firing a .20g 6mm plastic pellet with a muzzle velocity below 111.6 m/s (366 fps), and resembling with near precision an existing make and model of a firearm, other than an antique firearm, is a replica firearm and therefore a prohibited device.

I looked it up: if it shoots 366 feet per second or less and looks like a real gun, it's illegal. However, if it shoots between 367 and 500, it's legal. What the fuck? [editline]22nd September 2016[/editline]
Yeap. Which means both yours and my arsenals set for CQB FPS at Siege are prohibited devices (well, not your SCAR, but I'll get my hands into it eventually with a new spring, mwuhehe :fap:). How does it feel, living on the other side of the law? In that regard, my AKS changes its mood like the weather. With hop-up all the way up it shoots like an unrestricted firearm. With hop-up all the way down it turns into a prohibited device. Moody cunt.
Congratulations, you have just become aware that you're in possession of a prohibited device, like around 200,000 other Canadians found out they suddenly were back in July. Like I said, our gun laws are retarded, and leaving the final decisions to the RCMP only seems to make it worse.
Do they actually fire?
Oh no no, I'm browsing replicas/models. Just a lil' thing I'd have sitting on a stand in my room. It took me a shit load of browsing through law pages but I finally stumbled upon the answer I needed on one of the RCMP's pages.
REPLICAS OF ANTIQUE FIREARMS Although replica firearms are made to look like the original, they are distinct from reproductions or antiques. Replicas look the same, but are different because they cannot discharge projectiles at all, or can discharge only harmless projectiles. (Devices that discharge projectiles that can cause serious injury are not replicas.) Replicas of antiques are not considered firearms.
Given the scope of this explanation, I'm under the assumption that I'm good to go.
IIRC, you can send the RCMP a message asking about that kind of thing, and they'll get back to you on whether or not it'd be legal or not. I did it once when I was planning on getting a replica Lawgiver pistol from Dredd from Etsy, and asked if it would be legal for me to ship into Canada (it wasn't).
Just bury it in the yard in a bag and don't think about it. My grandfather's guns are buried under a tree somewhere in southern Ontario.
Welp I'm too sick to go to Toronto, RIP me.
Welp I'm too sick to go to Toronto, RIP me.
Toronto's actually got some sort of cough cold going on. At least half the people in the studio I work at are either coughing, sneezing, or away sick.
So me and a few people at work are talking about old TV when this theme clicks in my head: [sp]If you don't remember Rupert when it aired on YTV, you're automatically a horrible person.[/sp] Then it clicks on all of us that there has not yet a modern theatrical adaptation, like there has been with Paddington Bear or Stuart Little. We then worryingly speculate what such a film would look like.
