You MONSTER.
Sorry. but on my first night I got the best steak I ever had with the best patato I ever had too. Pepper sauce and bacon. I'm already living the dream. Also did a 2 hours hike.
Also I have a really important question Boston pizza or Dominoes ?
You're on the wrong side of the country for potatoes.
For instance this is Prince Edward Island's provincial flag:

Yellowknife's Museum is neat as hell. Had fun.

THE PUNISHER!

Like I said, our gun laws are retarded, and leaving the final decisions to the RCMP only seems to make it worse.
I got a stupid gun story
So i have family that live way out somehwere, and somebody's brother/whatever was terminally hospitalized, leaving my family in charge of all his shit. And that guy is/was one of those "well just in case the apocalypse is around the corner" sort of people, so he had enough guns and ammunition to lay siege to edmonton
Well he's not going home, so now my poor relatives need to get all his "but what if mad max is a documentary" kit to their house, because you can't just leave all this shit lying around in an empty house. So they went to the local police to get a transport permit to move all this stuff to their house and take legal ownership until it can be destroyed or something.
So they show up and ask for the mountain of paperwork to earn the privlidge of moving some metal objects in a car, and the cops just say "sorry we can't give you that forum. We don't do that any more", meaning it's illegal for them to move these things in a car. and some of the guns are illegal/unregisterable to boot.
so now they're in this absurd situation where it's illegal to leave the guns at the guy's house, illegal to move it anywhere else, illegal to sell some of it and impractical to sell the rest, and illegal to actually keep the fucking things or break them up or whatever.
Canada!

It's not illegal to leave them in the empty house so long as they're stored properly in accordance with the law. Once he does pass, the executor of his estate will have all the same legal privileges he did to own those firearms, so long as all of them were legal.
My biggest piece of advice is don't hand any of them in for destruction if you don't have to. If the guns are saleable, sell them. Plenty of gun owners would be happy to have them, and I'm sure there's going to be a gun shop somewhere nearby that would be happy to help you sell them.
Boston pizza or Dominoes ?
It depends what you're after. If you want a sit-down, night-out kind of meal, Boston Pizza. If you want something you can order and eat while at home, Dominoes. And then finish it off with some donuts from Timmie's.

You can sit down at Domino's but it's like sitting own at any other fast food place. Boston Pizza has booze and a much larger selection of menu items.
Well you can sit down at Pizza Pizza too, but if I wanted a proper sit down, I'd go to Boston Pizza.

They used to do an on-location thing here every few years. It was cool to watch.
Roommate is moved in now, hopefully goes better than the last time where they set the house on fire!

it's more complicated than that. It's been a while since i heard what was going on, i'm sure i missed some details. But it's a right bureaucratic mess where they just couldn't win.
How many people are in Nova Scotia. Now that I've got a car it'd be cool to meet some of you

don't worry when trump wins you'll be back here in no time!
Kitchener hasn't stopped transforming into Toronto 2.0; still construction on pretty much every block (and a new detour almost every day), especially downtown.
Driving in my area basically guarantees you'll be honked at / almost killed. Even driving schools are taking advantage of the madness on Kitchener roads by offering special courses.
At least I can look forward to the LRT after it's done! :smug:
Happy turkey time everybody!

Behemoth / Leviathan or bust
I just managed to smack myself in the face with my bedroom door hard enough to chip one of the lenses on my glasses.
It's times like this I wish OHIP covered vision care.
Finally got Tim Horton'd, I feel Canadian now. BLT with Timbits.
It's always awkward when I ask for milk instead of cream for my coffee at American Tim's, or any restaurant that sells coffee because they always give me a look when I say it, and tell me they don't serve coffee with milk...
Hey Vancouver folk. I got some news for you.
You know the Landmark Tower, right? This thing?

Guess what? Yep. It's been sold to a developer. Is it being remodelled? Nope. It's being demolished to make room for two more of those absolutely awful condo towers the chinese market eats up.
Want to write a letter to city hall citing your disapproval? Too bad. The lot does not require rezoning and all the paperwork short of the demolition order has already been filed.

Can the housing market just implode already?
What's confusing the fuck out of everyone is that the west end is full of tons of other 3-4 story buildings that nobody can remember when they were built or if there was anything special about them. Hell, there's a fucking empty lot right next to the tower.
Yet somehow the perfect balance between demolition/construction costs and not pissing off the NIMBY's is to tear that down. It makes absolutely no fucking sense.
I smell someone with an agenda.
