Just over a week ago it felt like it was 30c and this week it's approaching 0c The worst part is I get very bad mood swings in the fall and it's been terrible so far and is only going to get worse.
In Kitchener it hasn't. Whereabouts?
Near Kapuskasing, Though it's stopped snowing for now.
I'm not ready for snow at ALL. Hope it doesn't come by until mid December.
Again I feel like the news is completely useless. First they go on a week long tirade on how a tropical storm is going to wipe out Vancouver. Nothing happened. Now they're going crazy about a racist guy from Abbotsford in a cell phone video.
Hey I saw the video, "Shitskin" made me think of smoothskin, I had a great laugh. Love how in a great Canadian fashion he says "Have a good day". You Canadians sure are funny.

For those looking out east, I live in Fredericton, NB. Got out of community college (NBCC, Programer-Analyst) this year and our entire class got hired from our work term hosts pretty much before we graduated. There is absolutely a huge need for programmers and other skilled IT workers, but while I was in school I couldn't find an entry level job for the life of me, tons of students here make it pretty oversaturated. AMA here or on PM if anyone is seriously considering it.
Will companies pay relocation costs? I don't exactly have enough cash to relocate myself.
I've lived in NB all my life so not something I've run into, could contact/apply to one and find out. It wouldn't hurt anything. I'm working for Xplornet who I know are looking for programmers right now. Other options are Blue Spurs, Skillsoft, CGI. There are a few other companies, mostly consulting, and I think I heard something about a new company moving in soon as well. Their are quite a few startups to if you don't mind the risk.
I'm working for Xplornet
How is it, if you don't mind me asking? I'm a network admin for a smaller WISP / telecom and I've been contracted to do a few tower jobs by Xplornet before. I love the industry, but you can only go so far in a smaller company.
Canada's Worst Driver is the greatest of the World's Worst Driver series.

I only see the programmer side of things but it's pretty laid back here for the most part. They pay well for junior positions, I think I got the highest paying job out of my class.

I've applied for co-op education for my second semester for either Computer Engineering or Computer Programming, so I can get some hands-on work experience.

It was really helpful to get the experience but it also 100% got me my job. Near the end of the work term I had an offer on my desk. It's great since if they're taking someone it's a good chance they're using it as an extended job interview.
Snowed in Ottawa, nostalgia already.
I was naive to think that Trudeau Jr. was more than just a name & a pretty face. Each month he looks a lot more like a left-wing version of Dubya.
I need to look into the PC leadership candidates a bit more, but at this point Maxime Bernier seems like a pretty decent guy.
What the fuck is this? It's fucking 23 outside. I'm wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
This might be a long shot but if there anyone who lives around napanee-kingston that could just be a friend for a couple hours? I'm going through a lot of shit right now and I've got no friends to talk to about it, I've been alone for a really long time and I feel like I'm going to snap I hate to say I'm depressed, but I've never been at such a point where I feel like life really isn't worth the time anymore. I can't just keep typing and sitting here alone, I just need a friend for a bit.. If there is anyone out there, let me know... I might post this elsewhere too

Yesterday was the first time I was able to breathe through my nose since September started. Today I've been able to too, but not as well as yesterday. Yesterday was also the first frost in Toronto I think, and that probably had something to do with it. So with the US election all but over, what do we do now?
So with the US election all but over, what do we do now?
Close the border, build a wall.
Close the border, build a wall.
What do we do about No. 1 Road? The border is literally a ditch.
