Temperatures have been alternating from -30 to 7 in Quebec, the fuk
I had a friend bitching about it last night on IRC. I told him to shut the fuck up and enjoy the Vancouver winter before the ice storm kicks in.
It feels weird that it's raining in January (and December)
Don't worry, I'm sure it'll be -20 in February.
Its -6 outside according to my weather station. Brrrrr.
A whole -2 in Victoria, but the wind can fuck off, my bed's right below the roof and it's always fun to hear stuff hitting the roof and shingles coming off. :v:
it was +8 yesterday and all the snow is gone thank fuck
It's -4 where I am when it was like +4 yesterday. At least there's no snow, though.
oh wait its actually +9 today woohoo
Today's high was -15. Fucking Merritt was down to -35 last night. :canada:
Well it's going from -30 to -17 tomorrow in Yellowknife so it's basically summer.
Today's high was -15. Fucking Merritt was down to -35 last night. :canada:
It was 8 degrees when I left for work. It was 20 below when I left work [editline]13th January 2017[/editline] (I only worked for 4 hours today)
Today's high was -15. Fucking Merritt was down to -35 last night. :canada:
That's why I only ever drive through Merritt, and not actually visit there. It's been a steady -15 the last few weeks and it's actually starting to feel 'normal' Next week though apparently will be up around +5 which is gonna shorts weather by comparison.
I almost feel bad for laughing at her voice http://globalnews.ca/news/3179769/justin-trudeau-confronted-by-sobbing-ontario-woman-over-cost-of-hydro-bill/
There I finally updated my like 2 year old avatar
My basement is flooding with poo! We suspect that the previous owner (who was already suspect of doing a basement suite reno without a permit) had both the upstairs and downstairs toilets linked together instead of having separate plumbing going to the septic tank. When the upstairs toilet flushes the bottom one floods. Luckily nobody lives down there since we now use it to store our own junk but oh god how long has it been like this.
I feel for you so bad, but you are going to laugh so fucking hard about this sooner than you think.
Not to worry, I'm already laughing. It smells real bad, though. We aired the place out all day and now the entire neighbourhood smells.
So I'm gonna pull a few strings and see if I can get the weather to warm up to about 10c. Hope you like localized flooding.

You're trifling with powers you don't understand! I'm going to send you tantalum capacitors with the | on the wrong side for a thousand years for this!
Good news everyone, the plumber came and fixed everything! Poo Portal: Closed. [editline]17th January 2017[/editline] OK new challenge: the BC hydro transformer supplying my street just exploded.
What's next, a gas leak?
I don't have gas so luckily I dodged that bullet.
I don't have gas so luckily I dodged that bullet.
But how about your neighbours?
But how about your neighbours?
Acceptable losses.
DaCommie, you seen this beautiful display of free speech on campus today? ^_^ [t]https://scontent.fybz1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/16195897_10210067295531541_602363074771408894_n.jpg?oh=7629b26c5574094e27d14cbf98b95f55&oe=5912A548[/t] Local garrison of BLM was dispatched, but besides some yelling, nothing bad happened.
Cool pants tbh. Our pants would just be white with a big red maple leaf on the crotch/butt.
