An Albertan moved in down the street at the beginning of January. He finally began seeing how many CCTV cameras he could slap on the facade yesterday.
He was getting home this evening when I was on my walk so I asked him what he dealt in.
Weed? Meth? Cocaine? Guns? Counterfeiting? People smuggling? This is Barnartvale. No sane person has no less than two cameras pointed at their driveway in a neighborhood where you can forget to lock the door and it will still be closed when you come home Sunday night.
He told me to fuck off and went inside.
Why can't they just live in the Okanagan with the rest of their kind?
At work near Halloween I saw an old lady with a Trump Pence shirt. Weird, usually the Americans don't go past Waterloo or Niagara.
Huh. Useful.
The store down the hill sells frozen St Hubert ribs and meat pies.
Why the fuck are Pizzahut.ca deals in USD and not in CAD ??? Why is Dominos closed until 4pm ??? I need pizza for fuck sake.

Do they not have Pizza Pizza where you're at?

Let's say that where I'm living they don't have a lot of things :v:
I can see now the shortcomings of living so far north. RIP me.

But at least you have a kickass live wallpaper at night when the solar storms hit.

Well, I'm sleeping at that time. But with enough luck, the lights come out at 6pm, just when I'm walking home from work. It's pretty fucking rad.

Ah the joys of living in a city, Domino's closes at 1AM.
Good news everyone!
After a week of my amazon package sitting in the Purolator distribution warehouse in Mississauga it has finally boarded a train heading westwards.
I think this is just a conspiracy by amazon to make me pay for faster non-purolator shipping.
Purolator seems like a garbage delivery company. They have my package in Calgary since Monday, and it's still there. Like, I could get it in a day by car wtf
Ah the joys of living in Toronto with Amazon Prime, free same day shipping on select items because the fulfillment center is in Mississauga and Dynamex isn't too terrible half the time. At least when you're in the suburbs area, it's decent.
When I lived in North Vancouver I also had one day shipping with the free option because theres an Amazon warehouse in Burnaby. But now I'm in a rural town everything gets shipped out of Mississauga.
Good news everyone, the plumber came and fixed everything!

OK new challenge: the BC hydro transformer supplying my street just exploded.
So at some point this week HazMat will be by to inspect the building (built 1990) for asbestos. There is a good chance that I have sewage contaminated asbestos in my basement.
But we can hope that whomever built this house cheaped out on the insulation just like everything else in the building.
Most of the stuff I buy on Amazon Prime is shipped out of Mississauga. It's usually the more China shit like batteries from other sellers but fulfilled by Amazon come from Vancouver.
I was sick on New Year's for a week. Just as I'm getting over it, BOOM, Saturday I get what's likely bronchitis, and my voice has been getting worse since. I expect it will get a bit better tomorrow.
I feel so used.

when it's no longer 2016
I hate it when the weather forecast is right. Smarmy gits.
They're usually wrong and I like it that way.
God fucking damn it. Not even a fucking week after the shooting, and the Globe and Mail is already publishing articles full of bullshit and lies trying to push for more gun control. I despise it when news outlets use people's coffins as soap boxes to publish things full of outright lies, especially when they're calling for greater restrictions on individual freedoms, and implying some kind of link between people like me who own guns and these fucking nutcases as if they think that all 2 million gun owners in this country are mass-murderers waiting to snap.

We have angered the snow gods.
For fuck sakes can it be April yet already? I'm so fucking done with this winter shit.
February is literally the worst month of the year.

Happy February motherfuckers.
It's snowing again.
Dude there's so much fucking snow outside.
Chilliwack is reporting 80cm of snow right now.
Freezing rain tomorrow, I'm not going to have a fun time walking in that at all..

And I have to drive to work in Vaughan in it, in a car with no snow tires.
