Dude there's so much fucking snow outside. Chilliwack is reporting 80cm of snow right now.
Here 100m off the coast of the Pacific ocean I only have a mere 30cm.
Trudeau coming to Yellowknife on Friday. Time to miss work.
I think Victoria got the perfect amount today, enough to slow everything down [sp]any amount really[/sp] and make everything pretty, but not enough to cause too much havoc. Might be baised in that though since I only need to walk to uni [t]https://vgy.me/4ANZaG.jpg[/t] Also in Vic
Update: One man was so frustrated with snow-covered roads that he took matters into his own hands, with the help of a Zamboni. Central Saanich police pulled over the man driving a Zamboni on Central Saanich Road near Tanner Ridge Place around 8 p.m. on Monday. The machine is designed to resurface ice rinks, but he was trying to use it to clear snow.
I have to keep checking the exit where I'm working to make sure it doesn't freeze shut, drive home is going to be shit
Hey guys, I've got a few questions I was wondering if you could help me out with. You might not know this but it is a stab in the dark. I am considering (not made any real decisions yet, just playing in my mind) about studying in Canada for a few years. I'm a Scottish student and because of that I've enjoyed free education so far and I know that Canadian education has costs associated with it, but I've been working to build up funds and plan to keep on doing that. The real question I have is this; how likely is it to receive an offer of advanced offer as an international student? I only ask because by the time I will be set to comfortably move I will be nearing the end of the second year of a 4 year degree, and while I am OK with repeating year 2 if needs be I really don't want to start from the bottom all over again if I can help it. tia.
Depends on the province/school. Call or e-mail the school you're thinking of going to and ask.
Having done a little more research it looks like there is a couple of universities that would probably accept the credits from my course. I'll shoot off some emails in the coming weeks. Any universities that have got particularly bad reputations?
According to the weatherman, one last dump snow dump is gonna fall tonight, and then it's gonna warm up to +5 C for the next week and beyond.
With all this snow I can't wait for a nice sharp switch to spring. Flood season.
Ice Storm wasn't too bad yesterday. I got to punch through ice covering my car window, which was pretty dope.
Ok, I feel really stupid for asking this but I'm struggling to understand how this fee system works, but can someone please explain if I have this right? According to this webpage, I would be paying $1,163.76 per credit. That much makes sense to me - but what do exceptions do? Do they deduct the amount listed on each credit? Do they add to the total? Do they only take effect in certain situations? I can't seem to find an explanation anywhere on the website. International students pay as much at UBC for an engineering degree as I did as a domestic student at Ryerson. That's bullshit. International students were paying $24 grand a year to go to Ryerson. Also it seems like the exception means you pay the listed amount in the exceptions section during the exception period.

Dude there's so much fucking snow outside.
This cold snap is brutal my electric bill is more than double.
Lacrosse? Don't you mean Curling? Also add me, Edmonton, Alberta ;) [editline]10th February 2017[/editline]
Dude there's so much fucking snow outside.
WINDOWS XP WTF
That feeling when your car battery died on the back roads and you get to watch yourself get buried alive
That feeling when your car battery died on the back roads and you get to watch yourself get buried alive
I will lay timmies on your snowy grave.
Coq finally opened again. Some people were stuck on the highway for around 18 hours. Imagine being trapped at the snowshed. You're 6km from Zopkios station and in good weather 30 minutes away from civilization.

QUOTE FROM MR CRT
WINDOWS XP WTF
I see you're new here.
Met Trudeau this morning, even more handsome in person[sp]no gay[/sp].

So Toronto's getting shat on with snow right now.
I'm getting about 30cm in Montreal right now
So Toronto's getting shat on with snow right now.
Rule of thumb: If weather fucks up the West coast, expect it to come knocking in Ontario 3-4 days later.
40k a year what the fuck!? That seems really high
Yup, international student. UBC is a university I'm considering but unless I get a scholarship, which is pretty unlikely as I am looking to transfer mid degree, I'll likely be looking into the Maratimes. Hell of a lot cheaper.
Come to Quebec, education is dirt cheap
Come to Quebec, education is dirt cheap
Is rent in Quebec dirt cheap?
My French is God awful Wouldn't be an issue if I could get a loan but I'm relying on my own savings and a little bit of family support as I would need a Canadian co-signer
My French is God awful
Don't worry, so is theirs.
