Fun semester coming up...
8am classes all day erry day (except Wednesday...).
So the thermometer on my garage says it's -20 out in Toronto right now.
Fuck that's cold.
Quebec is having some cold wave or something and it's currently like 0 kelvin send help

It's Quebec, you're used to cold weather. Just burn all the Marois campaign signs you have in your/your neighbour's sheds for warmth.
I'll be keeping warm by huddling around the mayor's crackpipe.
The coq got so much fucking snow last night.

Oh no, BC gets to feel what it's like to really be Canadian, how will they cope!

Tee hee get it because the Lower Mainland isn't very cold and doesn't get much snow
Why did I just fly from nice Vancouver weather to the -20 of Toronto...

To acquire a piece of paper that says "We think you're not stupid."
Fucken cold in Ontario, I love the snow and the cold and it looks awesome outside but fuck is it ridiculous, I opened the door in shorts for legit 3....yes 3 damn seconds, closed the door and for a bit couldn't feel my legs, and I got frostbite...thank god I didn't go to York today holy fuck.
It was -23 when I woke up. I checked Ryerson's school site, school's still on. So not only do the engineers have to start a week earlier than everyone else (fucking bullshit), but we still have to show up when it's colder than Stephen Harper's heart outside.
-23 is cold?

Yeah York was still open as well, though I don't think anyone really went to school today any ways lol
-23 is cold?
It's the wind making it feel like it's -35 or -40 that is making it cold, like I said I got a frost bite for having my leg out the door for a few seconds some how, without the wind though it honestly would be fine.
Were you naked or something? Even when the windchill is down near -35, even with these light pants I never got a frostbite when I go out to shovel or pick up some logs.

I was wearing shorts :v: but still the door was opened for like a second, it's really weird considering I love and can take the cold and out in it a lot that I out of all people just got wrecked by it. It didn't even show up until hours later when I took a hot shower and I felt a sting on my leg randomly, I'm a fag so I can't really explain what that hot shower has to do with it.
clearly it was just so cold that it froze time so what appeared like 3 seconds was actually an eternity
1 week into the new semester, and apparently this is the formula sheet for next week's quiz:

I see UofT has an equivalent to Ryerson's Fail (Field) Theory course too.
Deciding on makeup products can be a trying task: Women try on different shades, remove them and then repeat the process all over again. But a new 3D augmented-reality technology aims to make color testing much easier.
At the 2014 International CES in Las Vegas, facial-recognition company ModiFace launched its 3D Augmented-Reality Makeup and Anti-Aging Mirror, which simulates makeup products, and shows you how they’d look on your face in real-time — without having to upload a photo. Beauty items include blush, eye shadow and anti-wrinkle cream.
As a guy, makeup isn't exactly interesting. But...

Also a Prof. at UofT.
Teaches ECE216.
One of my lectures was cancelled this Friday.
ECE216.
I'm in his class.
On an even more interesting note, I've gotten a project criticized by Steve Mann last year...

Invented HDR, Google Glass, Chief Scientist at Meta Spaceglasses...
So we haven't had much discussion in a bit...
How's the weather?

fucking terrable
Anyone in Toronto want to drink their sorrows away with me sometime? It's a great way to warm up.
I'm attending a computer show in Redmond tomorrow and attendees had to supply food.
I'm sitting in the back of a hotel room bagging timbits as if they are drugs so they don't go stale.
are there any canadians in here either with a physics degree, or pursuing one?
I'm considering either physics at the university of saskatchewan or astrophysics in calgary since I'm slowly realizing that I really love physics but I'm just wondering what the job prospects are like for a physics/astrophysics grad in this country
I've heard in the US it's pretty dire but I'm not sure

I'll talk to my friends, I'll probably end up with some degree in physics (and math) but that is only a side effect of wanting to go to grad school for chemistry.
You might want to look into TRIUMF and CSA or even the CSA and speak to your counselor.

I've started leaning more towards geophysics. I'll learn about physics but still be able to get a job afterward.

P shitty. Exams were cancelled yesterday for a reason I do not know. School wasn't cancelled when it was like -50 though..
