I voted Freedom Party, because I know my riding is either Liberal or NDP, and I didn't want to support Tim Hudak. Is it possible for nobody to get elected? I don't want anyone to win this election. [editline]12th June 2014[/editline] 1 more seat and the fucking Liberals get a majority. God fucking dammit, what is wrong with this province? If it wasn't for Tim fucking Hudak we'd have a Conservative government upcoming. I've heard, though, Ontario tends to vote one way provincially, then the other way federally, so this could mean a Conservative vote in 2015 for Ontario for the federal election.
I'm a little bit late on this, but a thing was going around trying to raise awareness for the ability to 'decline your vote'. Ontario electoral law allows you to show up at a voting station, receive your ballot, and then hand it back to them saying you are declining your vote. Unlike a spoiled vote, these ones actually get counted as 'none of the above' and, supposedly, would have a greater political statement than not attending period. Just another option to keep in mind for the future.
But what happens if "none if the above" gets the majority? Do we give the election to the part in second place by default?
Dad mentioned something about having a new campaign with new things to tell people so they can try and convince our votes.
I've eaten a load of turkey, now its time to do a night shift! Excellent planning on my part.
Perhaps now you won't be hungry by break time?
I'm having a really hard time adjusting to living in mississauga, especially coming from living in south scarborough by the bluffs, this place is terrible. We're not in the nice area of mississauga either, right smack dab in the middle of the shitty red brick cookie-cutter suburbs. The worst shit is not knowing anyone and not being able to even go anywhere because you need a car just to get to the goddamn grocery store. I've only lived here a month and I have no idea how I'm going to live through a year of this. My dad said he'd love to move somewhere else but all of the nice areas in mississauga are apparently ungodly expensive. Anybody have any advice or live out here that knows stuff you can do without a car? (Or friends because they're in scarborough...)
Does anyone know how many websites are blocked by the government?

Tornados hit near Barrie, Ontario. 2 touchdowns at the same time, from the same storm. It's now a thunderstorm here.
Does anyone know how many websites are blocked by the government?
Very few, if I recall correctly.

I got a response in a week. A month later the interim leader of the NDP sends me an e-mail about that same issue. I had never, nor do I really intend to ever, gotten in contact with the leader of the party that is the least likely to ever get my vote.
Seem to have found myself in a city that equals the population of Canada. [t]http://puu.sh/9Aqi3/df583869cc.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/9AqlN/9095b2a093.jpg[/t]
Slow day in news? How about a raccoon that had it's head stuck in a peanut butter jar. http://wivb.com/2014/06/18/raccoon-with-jar-stuck-on-head-gets-stuck-on-top-of-pole/

The news here was talking about how everybody got into all the accidents this morning and how an armoured car driver got in a gunfight with gangbangers in the middle of the night.
Finally going back to Scarborough for a week! On an unrelated note what do you other Ontarians think about our alcohol monopoly?
Finally going back to Scarborough for a week! On an unrelated note what do you other Ontarians think about our alcohol monopoly?
It's unfortunate. Some more competition would likely lead to more variety; which is limited right now. What's terrible is, apparently the Chinese in Shanghai have better tastes than a lot of bars in Toronto...(There's an impressive amount of German imports here!)
Finally going back to Scarborough for a week! On an unrelated note what do you other Ontarians think about our alcohol monopoly?
It's disgusting and I hate it. Corner stores should be able to sell beer and wine, as should grocery stores, and grocery stores should be able to sell hard liquor, as should private retailers specializing in it. Even if price doesn't change much due to the atrocious and absurd amount of tax we have on alcohol, as well as set minimum prices, the variety we'd get would be likely to increase.

I didn't have cable in my house when I was a kid, so I only saw that ad like once at my grandparents house. Except someone changed the channel before the end, I spent 5 years looking for the house hippo.

Uuuugh, whatever I ate yesterday (steak) has given me an excruciating stomach ache all night long.
Only one exam left just one more
Good luck to all those that have exams. I've been off school since April. Because college is awesome.
