Thank you for the idea. Unfortunately I've only got Polish vodka, so maybe I'll do maple syrup rye shots instead.
Made myself a whisky sour with Collingwood Estates rye and that 15% table syrup people buy when they can't afford real maple syrup. It tastes like pancakes, because apparently an ounce of the syrup was a little much.
and I spent Canada day working. Hell has nothing on a pizza kitchen in the summer

Fuck me, yesterday was so hot, got sunburned bad, Canada day forcing me to leave the confines of my house with central AC into the hot humid weather.
It was too humid for me to do anything so me and the wife started drinking at noon instead. Just as good
Had a good few rounds of Trackmania with one of my friends since we were unable to go out to see fireworks.
I'm enjoying my time in Stanely Park on the sea wall.
From what I hear, the fireworks were really disappointing this year. So I'm glad I didn't go watch 12 minutes of fireworks and get stuck in traffic for an hour and a half.
So apparently the U-Haul trailer that's been sitting at the top of my road for the past three weeks was stolen in Surrey two months ago and abandoned here :v:
I'll never understand why Pizza shops don't open till like 3 on Saturdays around here. Is there no lunch crowd for pizza on a saturday?

Holy shit, this smoke. Last night when I went to work it was fine. By this morning I couldn't see the mountains at the end of the valley but I could still see the other side of the valley. Now I can't see the other side at all. And there's this smell of burning forest.
I could really go for some barbecue now...

You know what I think would be an interesting scenario? If one party won a minority government by winning the ridings, but another party had more popular support, just fewer ridings. What would happen then if, say, for example, Harper wins the next election with a minority at 140/338 ridings and 32% vote, and Trudeau makes up the opposition with 120/338 ridings, but has 34% of the vote?
People on the internet would call Harper a tyrant and then everyonewould continue on with their dfaily life
I honestly wonder if there would be any further legal or constitutional ramifications though.
I thnk we live in such an apathetic society that the Queen, God save her, could refuse to approve bills and acts ad still people would do nothing more than com[;aon pp one the internet
I suck as Canadian geography. Someone asked me what the Atlantic provinces are and one of my responses was Nova Prospekt.
